Sketchy area. Wifi sucked so badly that it was basically non-existent. Service and the people at the front desk were good, though.

I don't know how I missed that when booking but that was a big turn off. The sidewalk was missing big pieces in several places which made for unsteady walking. Our room was on the second floor. When I asked if there was anything on the lower level because a member of my party wasn't able to handle the stairs, I was told there was not. The lady at the desk offered to do it, but she was older and I'm not sure she would have been physically able to do that. The only vending machine at the place was out of order and the only ice machine was back down those stairs. Again. The outside pool was small but conveniently located. After taking a look outside and worrying a bit, we were more than surprised that inside the room was updated, modern and very clean. The furnishings were tasteful. There were still plenty of things to update (many small holes in the bathroom wall, old trim that hadn't been painted, etc...) but we enjoyed a great sleep on comfortable beds with the AC roaring. The breakfast area was small, but there were many choices. The apple juice and orange juice were REALLY watered down. We did find the attendant to let her know but not until we were finished. Eggs and sausage weren't exactly hot but there were other options that we enjoyed.

We got a room with 2 queens and a pull out couch. The room was updated and had a big kitchenette. Everything was clean and worked well! Breakfast was included and everything was super affordable! We plan on stopping there on our way back through.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I am in Calhoun on business for the…read morenext four weeks, and based on a recommendation, I booked my first week at the Home2 Suites. Prior to arrival, I spoke with the front desk and clearly communicated my needs: a king suite, ideally a two-room setup so I could have a private space for early-morning work calls, and placement on the fourth floor at the end of the hallway, away from noise and foot traffic. These are reasonable requests for someone traveling for work who needs consistent quiet and privacy to be effective in their role. Instead, when I attempted to complete the virtual check-in, I discovered I had been moved to a two-queen suite--a room type I did not book or approve. When I asked why, I was told the hotel had overbooked. That is not my responsibility, and it is unacceptable that I was penalized for the hotel's mismanagement. After voicing my concerns, I was placed in a handicap room on the first floor, which I did not request and specifically hoped to avoid. I do not require an accessibility room, and I prefer not to occupy one out of respect for those who genuinely need them. Additionally, being placed on the first floor disregarded the noise-related concerns I had already communicated. I was assured that if I returned after 3 PM, I would be moved to a standard king suite on a higher floor. After a long day of work, I returned to the front desk only to find that absolutely nothing had been done. Despite being told that staff had been informed of my situation, no room was held for me, and all king suites were now "unavailable." Meanwhile, online availability suggested otherwise. The lack of follow-through, accountability, and urgency from the staff was incredibly frustrating. Their nonchalant attitude and complete disregard for what I had requested showed a disappointing absence of customer care and operational organization. At this point, I am looking into leaving tonight and moving to a Marriott property, because regardless of availability, I will not be staying at this location again. As a business traveler who values professionalism, reliability, and basic follow-through, this experience fell far below expectations. Based on this stay, I strongly recommend that anyone considering a hotel in Calhoun avoid this Home2 Suites location. The lack of coordination, communication, and care for guests' needs speaks for itself.

She got us signed up for the rewards program and suggested a dinner spot for our son. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I think they were in the middle of renovations. There were a lot of construction signs up. Plus, the hallway to the rooms had no air conditioning. Room was fine for what we needed for the night. The room air conditioner wasn't the greatest...it could have been a lot cooler in the room...especially with temperatures in the 100s outside. A few stains on comforter on one of the beds. However, I slept great. It was a comfortable bed. Good hot shower. Morning breakfast left a lot to be desired. We grabbed a waffle and a few muffins...but the setup in other La Quintas has been better. Not a lot of workable vending machines either. You had to purchase drinks in a cooler behind front desk. Good location though...right off I-75 with lots of restaurants and shops around. Felt safe the whole time. Bottom line, if you need a quick over-night stay for a reasonable price...this location is more than acceptable. However, anything longer, I would look elsewhere.

Hotels.com tried to talk to the owner/manager (whoever he was) and he refused to do anything about it!! Instead, he said because I stayed in The room for almost 2 hours (because I can't handle conflict and I was scared to have a confrontation with him).. too bad!!! Pictures of how disgusting this room was!! The bathtub/shower was NASTY! The one lamp looked like it was on fire at some point, but it wasn't. It was just disgustingly dirty, and rusty (Actually both lamps were gross!!) The window had a hole in it with cracks down it!! And the towels had yellow shit all over it them!! I was so exhausted from driving I couldn't think through what to do.. after eating a snack I brought and crying we decided to just leave. Explain how it's MY FAULT THE PLACE WAS DISGUSTING?!?! We should have known when we pulled in and there were NO OTHER CARS IN THE LOT..

Family planned vacation from Michigan to Florida (and back), we found this Baymont right off the I75 freeway. Conveniently situated adjacent to a McD's (for your midnight snack run) and within a mile of several restaurants, ice cream parlors and gas stations, you can't go wrong with picking this hotel. Affordably priced, we got a clean, good sized room (with breakfast) with 2 full sized beds, a flat screen TV, free wifi, a microwave and mini fridge for $62/night. Check-in was quick and easy and Ceara's professional and courteous disposition was a pleasant welcome after 9 hours on the road. She was quick to remind us about breakfast being available at 5:30 am, too! Lashanna was the other friendly face who welcomed us at the breakfast lounge and kept the place nice and clean with fresh flowing coffee! Check put was a breeze in under a minute. We're definitely stopping in the next time we drive through and will be recommending this place to friends and family who plan to do the same.
