I have been staying at the Courtyard Dalton for the last 3 years (not consecutively ) and I refuse to stay anywhere else. The staff at this hotel have become like family. I am greeted like a friend when I check in, wished a good morning by first name in the morning, and asked when they will see me again when I check out. The people that work here seem to truly love working here and this permeates through the culture of the entire hotel. The rooms are nice and big, love the small balconies, beds are nice (they always have extra pillows waiting on me) and the location is great. I honestly think if there was a Waldorf available here and they offered me free stays, I would stay at the Courtyard. Would almost feel guilty if I went somewhere else. read more

Driving through the town we stayed over a night last week. We checked in at 11pm and got out by 8am next day. Checking into the hotel at 11pm, there wasn't anyone at the front desk or in the lobby area. We had to look around to see if anyone was behind the desk. Bit surprised that no one came out to the front as soon as we walked in. There was no bell to ring. Anyhow behind the front desk, we looked in and through another door, a staff came out. We probably didn't wait no longer than two minutes but felt so long. Room was clean and the size of the room was pretty decent too. read more

A 14 or 15 yr old hotel (per staff) thats looks very new with the bistro/bar concept. They also serve Starbucks in these things nationwide. This Courtyard had a "wood" theme throughout the lobby and hallway areas. I love being able to eat dinner in the hotel especially when you are unfamiliar with the area and upon first glance you only see fast food and the usual chain restaurants. Its a real time s For dinner I ordered the Individual Chicken Pot Pie. The pot pie was excellent. He ordered the Vegetable Baked Pasta and finished it as I did with mine. She ordered her usual chicken tenders with fries. The three tenders were huge. I ate one tender and it tasted awesome. The fries were cut thick and seasoned. A very nice hotel with a large indoor pool, a courtyard with a fire pit, fitness room, computer workstations, conference room and of course a bistro and a bar. The rooms are spacious and more than adequate in amenities. We were back on the road traveling before breakfast opened so I cannot review that service. But I'm bookmarking this hotel for future accommodations when traveling on I-75. read more

Excellent location off I75. Halve way from Ontario to Florida. Friendly Staff, clean room. Great place for Electric Vehicles to charge. Light poles provide 120V outlets if you bring your own Level 1 Charger. This will be our go to place on future trips to Florida. read more

Stayed here while working nights for a work assignment. My colleague and I asked the front desk to make a note that we were working nights to avoid interruptions during the day when we were sleeping. I was told there was a county ordinance that required them to come in the room on the 4th day (why?). Their delivery of this information could use improvement; instead of asking us when would be best, we were pretty much told to deal with it. When we left around 4pm, the staff were still there but we were told it was too late to service the room. Despite my do not disturb tag on my door, housekeeping made a point to have a lengthy conversation right outside my door and I had the privilege of hearing their radio play at a pretty loud volume to boot. The 1st floor breakfast/lobby area looks nice but when you get upstairs to your room it is quite outdated. My bathroom ceiling had the beginnings of black mold. During a previous stay I thought I left things in the room and called to check their lost and found. They were not willing/able to check; I had to leave a message with someone else, who never returned my call. The one thing I will compliment is the breakfast staff and food. We had a voucher for free breakfast and it hit the spot after long hours worked. The breakfast staff were always extremely kind and efficient. The rest of the staff could take a few lessons from them. Work extended my stay by another day; I was delighted to learn they were fully booked and had to stay somewhere else. Service at this Courtyard is right on point and very much appreciated. Ben quickly and changes our room type , ensured it was feather free and noted our late arrival all in one brief phone call. Check in was very convenient. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and accommodations were welcoming all the way around. Breakfast by Brenda was that rare combination of Southern hospitality and Northern multitasking proficiency, as she handled 3 patrons at a time , never missed a beat and provided a genuine smile and greeting to each. Stayed here a couple of times on business and this is one of the top hotels in the area. Overall a 3.5, but rounding up considering the area. The lobby is updated and beautifully decorated. The front staff is friendly and gracious. They try their best to remember if you've been there before. They serve Starbucks right there in their Bistro area. I was fortunate enough to get a breakfast voucher and they serve amazing breakfasts! Fresh eggs, toasts, sandwiches, etc all brunch-worthy quality meals all served within the hotel. They also serve popcorn in the evening at times when there is a big football game going on. The Bistro also serves craft beer and wine. You won't need to venture out of your hotel, in order to grab a drink or a meal. Now for the things that they can work on: The rooms themselves are clean and decorated well also, but the air conditioning at times makes it feel humid. At times, the carpet or sheets feel moist? Although the common areas seem to be updated, the rooms are a little dated. There are some tears in the curtain where I stayed in, and the bathroom is somewhat cramped with old fixtures. Tolerable, but still... There is also a jacuzzi and pool that i didn't use, but good to know it's there. The gym is tiny. There are 3 cardio machines and a small space for free weights. If there was more than 3 people in there, it's definitely going to be invading your personal space. I wish the hotel had gym vouchers to the nearby Gold's gym. I stayed at other places in the area, and I like this place. It caters more to business professionals and those visiting Dalton college. It's nice and quiet and has great amenities. So those that follow my reviews know I'm typically critical of courtyards I stay at for work and typically stay at them as a last resort for the Marriott chain. This review will not be that. From the moment I arrived yesterday the staff here has been beyond exemplary. I arrived early (before noon actually arrived little after 9) and still they found a room for me before noon so I could change to get ready for my business mtg at 1. Then comes the breakfast. Typically courtyard serves their over easy eggs with runny whites, but this one made effort and the over easy eggs were perfect on Saturday. Next since I am a strict GF traveler I talked with Brenda the food services manager I believe and they went out of their way to purchase some GF breads (o dough was brand name) that I could have for my stay. Potatoes are still off limits for GF dining, but this courtyard allowed me to substitute other allowed items which average courtyard just subtracts the items you can't have and still charges you full amount. Also I have to give kudos to Yami and Diane who were awesome with their customer service for the days I was here. Customer service is on par (or even better with the southern charm added in) with the Marriotts themselves and you definitely do not feel that you are on one of the subsidiary properties. All in all first hotel in 6 months I don't have to search for a positive spin to put on my review. I just wish they were in one of the cities I visit more :). read more

Pool is super small and honestly disgusting. I mean it definitely needs to either be scrubbed down or completely remodeled. Sides of the pool were black around edges. Please do yourself a favor and do not come here. read more

We chose to stay at this property as we are silver medallion members and could use points. I was not anticipating anything special. We were highly impressed when walking through the door. The lobby area was updated and modern. The front desk clerk was incredible and helpful. Our room was also updated. Another pleasant surprise. On top of that, Dalton is quite a surprise as well. Quaint, rich heritage and good restaurants. Only disappointment is the hot tub and swimming pool are close for repair. After a long driving day, we were hoping to utilize those facilities. read more

We stumbled upon this hidden gem when everything nice and affordable in the Chattanooga area (from Ringgold in the South, to Cleveland in the North and as far west as the back side of Lookout Mountain) was booked. Our room included a comfortable king bed, and nice office chair with a mobile desk, a pull-out couch bed, and a handy side table. There was a mini-fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. The wife thought the coffee was sad, but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. The shower was especially nice. The decor was modern and stylish and some of the rooms even have little balconies. The location is conveniently near the interstate and its close to a good number of dining and shopping options. All the staff we encountered on our visit were friendly and helpful. The only negative is the indoor pool, which is extremely small. We don't often have a schedule that lets us enjoy the pool, so that wasn't a biggie for us. And I'd be happy to stay in this location in the future. read more

Hotel is very nice and recently remodelled, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The only downfall is that this is a new format courtyard with a Pay Bistro. So no complementary breakfast. Nice contemporary style to the lobby and room. My main complaint as noted in other reviews is no free breakfast. Not even something basic, like a yogurt or banana. The Starbucks coffee was an ok touch, but they only have one mild version, no dark roast. read more

This hotel is very clean and conveniently located. Though we did not use the indoor pool it is small but looks very nice. The staff is friendly, the bed and pillows comfy, and has large comfortable rooms. As noted in previous reviews, no fridge in rooms but it appears that we could have gotten one if we had asked, but didn't know to ask.... They also have a lovely outdoor fire pit with seating. About what you'd expect from a Courtyard....and that's both good and bad. This Courtyard is very close to needing remodeling, but it's clean and the nicest place to stay in Dalton. At least until the new Holiday Inn is finished. They have a limited grocery area to buy snacks, sodas and beer. The workout facility is decent and the pool and jacuzzi the same. The breakfast, like at all Courtyards is ok, just overpriced. The staff has always been extremely friendly and accomodating. All in all, not a bad place to stay. read more

My family and I were driving through town on our way from Florida to Michigan and we randomly stopped at Courtyard Marriott. It was wonderful from the time we arrived to the time we left. Check in and check out was hassle free with no paperwork. The rate was great (with a military discount). The room was immaculate from top to bottom and it smelled clean (not like some other hotel rooms that's smell dingy). The bed was so cozy and comfy, we had a hard time getting up (that says a lot). My children slept on the pull out couch and they didn't even want to leave. It was such a pleasant stay. We haven't felt this way about a hotel in a very long time. read more

Clean, renovated hotel with pleasant staff. Pool and whirlpool area was also clean with appropriate water temperature, there is business office convenient to the lobby, and lounge and good size dining area which we didn't dine in. Our 3rd floor room was spacious and clean, with a mini-fridge, TV and work space, with everything in working order including the heat and A/C. The firm bed mattresses were very comfortable. We heard the trucks on the highway during the night, but other than that, this room at the end of the hall was quiet. We would have preferred more overhead lighting and switches at the entrance for the room lights. The sink was outside of the bathroom, but there was no privacy door between the sink and room. The bathroom was clean, with a shower, no tub, and plenty of open floor space, but additional shelving was needed because there was no place for personal toiletries, and most of the clean bath towels were draped over the back of the toilet tank with no other place to store them. It's a nice hotel and I would stay there again for a night or two, but the bathroom would be annoying to me if I were to stay longer. read more
