My husband and I have always wanted to stay SUP. We took a lesson from Vicki and it was totally awesome. She was really great and we got to paddle around Glorietta Bay and under the Coronado Bridge. We had a blast. We would highly recommend this experience. read more

I had my first SUP lesson today from Vicki and it was great. She gave me a lot of pointers on my form and I even got to bring my dog! Spending an hour and a half on the bay in Coronado reminds me of how lucky I am to live here in San Diego. Vicky was a lot of fun to talk to and the rates are very fair. I look forward to going next time in the ocean. read more

Fun thing to do. Be prepared for some wake with big boats though. But remember you can also paddle on your knees and swim on the board. Water was so nice and warm too. read more

They were amazing to work with would recommend them to anyone & definitely use them again. Our whole family enjoyed it & Crystal was an amazing instructor & very patient with the kids & adults. Thank you for making this a great experience & fun for the whole family during our vacation!! read more

I highly recommend SUP Coronado. Its awesome they can take you paddling in the Ocean with the view of the historic Hotel Del or the San Diego bay with a better view of the coronado bridge and the Downtown skyline. give them a call and GET YOUR PADDLE ON. read more

It is a rare experience to paddle around the gorgeous San Diego Bay and the lesson you get with Vicki makes it extremely memorable. A laid back experience, everyone visiting San Diego should take a SUP with SUP Coronado. I recommend it to everyone I know coming to town! read more

I'm in Coronado on business, attending a conference at a nearby hotel all week. I get one afternoon off, and I was so lucky to get the chance to stand up paddle board. Vicky(-ie?) was so awesome and laid back, really helping my SUP experience the whole time. I did the SUP and Pub package, where we paddled for about an hour or so, crossing underneath the bay bridge, then stopped in between for a beer break. That was just exactly at the right time- during sunset with the city skyline in the background. Beautiful! Next, we went to two different craft brew pubs in San Diego (forgot the name of the first one, but the second was Torch), with a stop at "Barrio Dog" for some gourmet hot dogs (yes, it's a thing. And damn tasty...) at the request of a member of our group. The beer was fantastic. Vicky was there giving me insight on each beer I drank and some insight on life in Coronado. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her and the other folks in the group. Thanks, Vicky for a great experience! read more

My BF and I got a SUP lesson from Brent - he was patient fun and gave us helpful tips for our first time out. Beautiful place and excellent experience - could not recommend this experience more! read more

A fantastic team to learn to stand-up paddelboard with. Take the 1.5 hour Glorietta Bay to tour the sights of Coronado and downtown San Diego, try SUP to see if you like it, and learn the tricks from pros. read more

Outside of surfing I have always took lessons when engaging in a new sport. I always believe in shortcutting the learning process plus you can avoid bad habits. Researching the web brought me to SUP Coronado. Set up the lesson appointment via email. I met with Vicki at Tidelands Park on Coronado. She has a number of boards to meet the situation and person. Today was learning how to use the SUP and the bay is the perfect place to learn. Glassy conditions met us and after learning how to stand we were off for a paddle to Glorietta Bay and back. I'm glad I hired SUP Coronado for this lesson. I had a Isle SUP board to use at 11 ft and probably around 30 or 31 inches wide. Nice stable platform helped with the initial learning process. Vicki is a great instructor because she is knowledgeable for one and patient instructor for another. She gives you just enough instruction to keep you operating correctly but not overbearing. That is a hard balancing act but she was great for me. So tomorrow we try the surf. Look forward to another day read more

Great organization and amazing staff! They know exactly what they are doing and accommodate to everyone. LOVE how they emphasize the importance of environmental conservation to their customers. I have even partnered up with them to support my shark diving business www.makosharkdiving.com read more

Booked a 10 am Saturday rental reservation with Vicky, who texted me where to meet. I will preface this by saying that my husband and I have gone paddling several times, so we didn't need a lesson; we did take 2 beginners with us on this paddle though. +For 2 hours, I find $30 to be a pretty decent rate! We had plenty of time to teach our friends, paddle a good distance to even go get some pics with Hotel Del Coronado in the background, and hang in the water to relax a few times before going back in. +Vicky was super nice by phone and in response to my texts. +We met by the skate park and the sand area, which made parking pretty easy. +The location also made walking the boards very simple. (We've used Bike & Kayak before and we had to carry our boards through the dining/shopping area to the water... a much longer distance). +Vicky had available the waterproof bag for my key and iphone, so I was able to take some pictures. (I usually have my own, but we forgot it... and typically we've been charged for that by other companies). +Vicky gave suggestions on the route to take, how to get less wind, and offered information on why going the opposite way wasn't ideal. Very appreciated! Bottom Line - Would totally use SUP Coronado again... and in fact, we plan to go Pacific side next time! read more

We loved our SUP sesh with Vicki! A few friends and I had some hours off during a work trip and managed to squeeze in a SUP lesson/tour in the bay, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. We met up with Vicki in the parking lot and she showed us the boards and gear and then we headed to the beach to get on the water - she was great with helping us get our bearings, and then we headed out into the bay. We chatted and paddled for over 2 hours before we even realized it. It was great getting to know each other and Vicki knew a lot about San Diego/Coronado and pointed out a bunch of cool things along the shore. It wasn't too hard to get the hang of, but challenging enough to be a good workout and keep us engaged! Gliding along the water was peaceful and we got lucky and had a beautiful day. Sure you could probably rent boards on your own but having Vicki there to show us what to do and chat while we paddled was awesome. I'd definitely do it again! Maybe try some waves next time :) read more

I just tried Paddle Board Yoga yesterday in Coronado Bay and it was amazing! We had the best time ever learning to Paddle Board and learning Yoga Poses on the board. It was an amazing experience and you should totoaly try it! Vicky was very easy to work with and found a time and day that worked for us and their trainer (who was also equally awesome). Thanks SUP! I can't wait to do it again! read more

Vickie and Crystal are by far my favorite sisters. They are very helpful and knowledgable in all areas of SUP as well as surfing. They are extremely positive and motivating and are very experienced at what they do. Not mention super fun and enthusiastic to hang out with. Thanks Vickie and Crystal for the great experience in Coronado, CA. read more

Brent was awesome! He was very helpful with getting everyone started, gave good direction, was patient and polite! It was a gorgeous day on! We had a blast and would highly recommend Brent and SUP Coronado to anyone looking to have a good time on the water! read more

My first paddleboard lesson was an amazing experience due to instructor Wade's natural teaching style; as a retired educator, I could see that he instinctively analyzed you for the right amount of instruction to provide. After he gives a few minutes of basics, it was less is more to help you not overthink, allow you to feel how to stay balanced atop and, then to feel the proper rhythm of paddling. You are comfortable, safe and he pushed only enough until you are truly enjoying the beautiful views from the bay. Thank you Wade--I am hooked! read more

I booked two paddle boards literally within five minutes and we were in the water shortly after. All because we ran into a couple who had just finished paddle boarding and asked them where they rented their boards. Super easy experience. We had a great time paddle boarding under the Coronado bridge. Vicky was very helpful and friendly. It's not often that you find someone so easy going and willing to help especially when we didn't not have a prior reservation. She just made it happen for us without hesitating. read more

Loved Vicki! Super chill and easy going. My friend and I did the 2 hour rental and she gave great advice and made it very easy.

Visitors or locals would LOVE this company. It's basically like borrowing a paddle board from your always cooler surfer friend. Vicki is sweet and super chill, "take 'em out all day if you want to!" The prices are fair and she also made sweet recommendations for places to seek out...if more than just standing-up-and-paddling a few yards is your forté. Call her up! read more

Great experience. Never paddle boarded and David really gave us some great tips that led to a really good experience. Nice area too. Mission bay might have been a bit rough for first timers. Price was really good at $20 for first hour and $10 thereafter. read more

Excellent service. All the boards and paddle were setup before we got there. All I had to do was just walk on to the beach. Really friendly and affordable. Great for beginners and kids. I brought out my family of 3 kids of 14, 12 & 12. We all had a great time. read more

Vicki is excellent! Had our first SUP outing today and had a wonderful time.

I first called the number on the website and I left a message. Vicki returned my call very quickly. I was setting this up as part of a trip to San Diego. Vicki and I corresponded back and forth thru email until I settled on a date and time. It was so convenient and easy. Crystal was awesome!! This was my first time, and she guided me and I got the hang of it pretty quickly. She was so flexible with where we went, it was great!! I was doing this as a special occasion to celebrate a medical recovery, and Crystal made the day great for me!! I would highly recommend them, and can't wait to go back!! read more

Very Fun! Three of us first timers signed up for the SUP lessons, took all of 5 min to sort it out and set up a time. Crystal was cool and patient showing us the ropes. The whole lesson was really relaxed and fun. I would recommend to anyone! read more

Paddle boarding for the first time with Vicki was incredible. We had so much fun on the San Diego bay and Vicki taught us proper form and had great and newer boards for us to use. We felt extremely comfortable and the time flew by so fast. Thanks Vicki for an unforgettable experience! read more

After witnessing the SUP craze over the past few years while surfing I decided to give it a try on one of my days off. It turned out to be perfect; spending the morning out of the heat wave in the ocean, paddling, trying to catch waves, and wiping out. Crystal was an amazing instructor. I highly recommend her for lessons or tours... I even got a sand dollar souvenir! SUP Coronado has great locations with options on the bay or the ocean in Coronado or in the bay at Shelter Island. Also, great communication and great availability. Thank you Vicki and Crystal! read more

So much fun and Crystal was awesome! My husband and I did the bay tour with Crystal this past Saturday (13 June 2015), and we really enjoyed our morning on the paddle boards. Crystal is very patient and comfortable to be with. She even took the time to show us some stretches and yoga moves for the muscles most engaged in paddle boarding. We live in Las Vegas, but we'll DEFINITELY call SUP Coronado the next time we visit San Diego! read more

Vicki was great with the reservation process, directions, etc. and Crystal was a fantastic/fun instructor. We had 8 people in our group ages 10 to 55 and we all had a blast! We will absolutely do it again! read more

Vicki is an amazing instructor! She was kind and patient and it felt like my friend and I were paddling with a long-time friend. She is super chill, but also very knowledgeable and would give subtle hints as we paddled. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a lesson from her. Although both my friend and I had been out on SUPs before - the lesson was fun and I think we each took something from it that we will use in the future. The views from around Coronado and seeing the San Diego sky-line were great. Go early for the calmest waters! read more

Amazing experience!!! Called at 745 am and got an answer right away and made our reservation. She was super professional and so helpful! We will definitely be using this company again!! read more

I called them to set up a SUP experience for 4 of us, in celebration of my Fiancee's Birthday in September. Though seemingly very casual, they were very good with their communication and follow up. Being new to this, we weren't exactly sure what to expect, so they helped advise as to the best recommended time and location. After a brief assessment and instruction, they set up the perfect boards for each of us--based on size and experience, and we were off. We opted for an evening paddle, for calmer water, heading under the bridge, around the golf course, to the old Rowing Club in Glorietta bay and back again. It was a beautiful evening, and we arrived back just prior to the sun setting--a perfect outing. The scheduling was easy, the equipment was perfectly appropriate, and the service, excellent! Would strongly recommend them. Thank you, SUP Coronado, for providing a low cost (excellent value), easy, enjoyable paddle experience. read more
