We have been considering getting solar for several years. The price point was always too far out…read moreof reach. We had several companies come out and give us bids. We had companies bid where we could "lease" the equipment, a bid where we could buy directly from them and install the system ourselves which was supposed to save us nearly 40%. The company where we would install it ourselves told us it would "only take a day or two" to install the system. Luckily, before I pulled the trigger with any of these other companies, I met Patrick with Sovereign Solar. Patrick gave us a bid that was only slightly higher then the bid where we were going to have to install the system ourselves (including the permitting process and working with the local utility company.) Patrick did an excellent job navigating through the licensing and permitting process with both the local government as well as the local utility company. I can tell you this was not an easy process and one that I had no desire to deal with. Patrick and his team (Kyle and Ray) completed our project professionally and in a timely manner. Patrick has always been very responsive to questions and any concerns. I saved enough money that as an added bonus, I had Patrick install the "Sense" monitoring system so we can see exactly what appliances are using electricity and how much. So basically, if you are serious about getting a solar system....stop wasting your time looking around.....I have already done all the research and Sovereign Solar should be your first and only call.

We decided to go with Sovereign Solar; based on how comfortable we were with Patrick's (the owner) knowledge base, and experience in the industry. They also had all the other options that the national companies have, including, access to high quality equipment, and financing options, but with a local presence in this area for several years. Patrick has proven to be dedicated to his customers, by always responding to our texts and phone calls without hesitation. In addition, Sovereign Solar USA and their employees worked with us to meet an installation date before the end of the year, with only a couple of months to do so. This not only included the actual installation, but also getting our Electrical Company's application processed. This was done without losing quality workmanship in the process. The installers Nick and Kyle also impressed us with their work ethic, knowledge, and customer service. Sovereign Solar USA is truly customer service oriented, and has worked beyond what was expected.

Terrible Experience - System Still Not Working and No Communication…read moreWe hired Lifetime Solar to install our solar system in June 2025, and months later it's still not working. In September, we found out the installation wasn't done according to the approved design plans, and no permit was ever posted or obtained -- which is a big problem both legally and contractually. We've tried reaching out multiple times by phone and text, and no one will call us back. It feels like once they got paid, they disappeared. At this point, we've had to send a formal demand letter asking them to fix the installation properly, get the required permits and approvals, and make the system operational within 15 days -- or we'll have no choice but to terminate the contract and take legal action. This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Avoid this company unless you want to deal with unfinished work, missing permits, and zero customer service.

Signed contract in October hoping to get done by the end of Dec. and claim the federal rebate. Panels installed early November then nothing. I call the office and get no return calls. Then I hear from Drew from Lifeline Solar telling he'd be over seeing this project. Im the one calling him on updates only to here the same old story. Now its Feb. 2026 wondering if ill ever get this system on line. My patience with company is running out fast. Guess i need to start thinking of legal out. Payment are to start in May 2026. After reading all the comments I will seek legal assistance on this issue.

The amount of money I spent on the installation of my solar system has been a really bad…read moreexperience. The project manager, Haresh, has been hard to reach for answers to my questions. And most of the time, I have to call several times before to picks up or replies. The workmanship of the installation is less than optimal. I am surprised that it passed inspection. The large conduit that penetrates the outside wall of my house has not been caulked or sealed to keep water or weather out, so a mold problem does not start. None of the PVC conduits were cemented at the joints. they were just dry fitted. How can a project manager let that happen??? Well, my guess, he was never at the job site! Additionally, there was 2 missing cartridge fuses, they alleged that I took them out. How dare they accuse me of taking them! Why would I do that? Oh, by the way, I was in NY at the time of the install. I tried to get support from the company, and it proved to be most difficult. MY SUGGESTION - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

1-Star Review: My Experience With Astrawatt Solar…read more I'm a big supporter of solar energy, and I still recommend going solar -- just not with Astrawatt. I signed a contract with Astrawatt in late 2024 to install solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall. Unfortunately, I ran into issues at almost every stage: communication delays, product availability problems, installation mistakes, and poor coordination with Evergy. Astrawatt provided projected energy-savings estimates as part of their proposal. After six months, I noticed no change in my energy bill. I reached out to multiple people at the company, including my sales rep, Rhody, and the owner, Alex. A technician finally came out and discovered that my system's energy-export capability had never been enabled. Once they turned it on, the system began performing as promised. However, during those first six months, my system was capped and unable to produce the savings it should have. Alex acknowledged the mistake and even calculated the energy production I missed, telling me I would be reimbursed within days. Two months later, after many follow-ups, communication from Alex, Rhody, and others at Astrawatt has stopped. Based on my experience, the company has not taken responsibility for the error or followed through on what they told me. I truly wish I had chosen a different installer, and I recommend anyone considering Astrawatt think carefully before signing a contract. Happy to discuss my experience with Astrawatt or answer any questions prospective Solar customers might have. Adampeete@yahoo.com
