WORST COMPANY EVER, DO NOT BOOK, TRANSFER DID NOT SHOW UP We have booked transfer from Pisa Airport to Marina di Bibbon a in Tuscany, Italy with Suntransfers. Total cost was €137.80 which was taken from my card immediately on confirmation. When we arrived there was NO TRANSFER, NO DRIVER, NO CAR. We landed at midnight with two exhausted kids who were promised a private driver waiting on us with their names on it, disappointment is an understatement. I went to live chat and have been advised that they can't get in touch with the driver and we have to get a taxi and pay for it ourselves. I asked them to arrange a local taxi for us and settle for it as there was none at the airport at the time and my request was declined. They said book a taxi and we will refund you. Airport taxi cost €140. One month later I`m still waiting on refund. There was no acknowledgement of their failure to provide service we booked, no apology. I have received email looking for feedback to which I replied and of course it wasn't posted to their website, no follow up either. Every time I call they say there is a backlog and no one can do anything for me. Today Customer Service representative told me he can do nothing, no one can do anything and hanged up on me when I was asking to email Quality Department who deal with refunds and CC me on his response. Company is complete joke and staff is highly unprofessional. Never again will I book with the company or recommend to anyone I know. Stay away, you will get no transfer or refund! I travel all over the world, and this is the worst transfer service I have ever booked in my life. They decided to strand my elderly parents in Barcelona, who were delayed and missed their original connection, requiring double payment to rebook the service for the following day. They had plenty of notice, with the original flight delayed more than 5 hours, and they wouldn't even check the availability of the driver (as they say they will) to accommodate the change to the next day. Horrendous. Not worth it. Book somewhere else. read more

Had a horrible experience with SunTransfers. Booked a roundtrip tranfer service from Cancun to Tulum, once arrived at the Cancun airport they were not there at the reserved time causing panic, once they showed up it was a hassle getting an actual driver because they are just a "middle man". Once in Tulum they could not find our destination. When leaving the destination on our last day, OUR DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP TO PICK US UP! It is so hard to contact them and once you do, it is someone in a different country. We were stranded for 1.5 hours and almost missed our flight. Once we finally could hail a taxi, we were scammed over 800 dollars all because SunTransfers never sent a driver to come get us. Horrible experience!!!! read more

Horrendous experience. Booked return transfer from Barcelona airport to Costa brava. The driver wasn't there when we arrived. I spent 20 mins trying to get a reply on WhatsApp before phoning an agent. While on the phone the driver arrived, over 30 mins late. He was rude and unapologetic. And clearly late for another trip. He took off at speed for the ten minute walk to where he had parked. He could clearly see one of our group, a woman in her 70s, was using a walker and could not keep up. The fittest amongst us couldn't keep up and my husband and mother in law ended up far behind and lost. I asked him to pick them up in the taxi but he refused. He played loud music for the entire 2 hour journey. He drove really erratically, weaving between lanes on the motorway. But it was even worse when we go onto country roads and he started overtaking at every opportunity. It was a horrible transfer and when we got there his rudeness was even worse. He screamed at my 13 year old daughter because she tried to open the door to retrieve her iPad which she forgot she had left in the door storage. He made a big deal about getting it back out. We also asked him to wait for a moment to drop our bags to our holiday house, which we wouldn't have really expected but we have had taxi drivers oblige us before. Again he was rude in his refusal, which there was no need for. We cancelled our return transfer and were very happy with the service we received from another company on the way home. We will never book with sun transfers again. Also good to note they were much more expensive than what we paid for our return journey. I have complained to the company but they take 30 days to reply so I have not had a response yet. read more

AVOID!! DO NOT BOOK WOTH THEM I arrived at San Fran airport yesterday where our flight was delayed and we had to walk a while to get to the baggage claim but our driver never showed at arrivals. We called the customer support team 4 times and they couldn't contact the company??? I don't know how they can't contact a car transfer company within 20 mins of me being on the phone, since it's their main service?? I asked about a refund for the trip and they said they couldn't guarantee one. Now I've just paid them a lot for a return transfer AND I have to pay for an expensive taxi!! I followed up with support (lots of generic replies) and they're giving the company 20 days to respond to my complaint but I've asked what information I can give before I leave san Francisco and they are not being transparent. Worst start to a trip. Save yourself the hassle and book with hoppa or ANYONE else!! Nightmar read more

Drivers don't show up It looks like this company just contracts out with drivers in each country, and the drivers are not part of the company. As such the drivers can do pretty much whatever they want like not showing up to pick you up, calling the company and telling them I cannot find the customer in the hotel lobby. This is exactly what happened to my parents during their trip to Istanbul, they waited for 45 min in the hotel lobby, they called the company and they only get a recorded message that tells you go on the chat room online. The reception in the hotel lobby also tried calling that number without vail, and they said sorry there is no driver phone number to call him directly. They do not include the driver's phone number in the voucher, so there is no way to get hold of him. The company sent me an email informing me that the driver was not able to find my parents in the hotel lobby and asked about them in the reception, which is a big lie since they were there at the reception the whole time. the guys at the reception were trying to get hold of the driver the whole time. He probably decided to not show up since the trip is already paid. This company is very unprofessional, use at your own risk. Save yourself some headache and just take Uber or a taxi, there are plenty of them and they're the same price. read more

This company (at least with respect to Cancun) has no cars of its own. It is a third party agent that outsources you ride to another transfer company. When I had an issue with the transfer company, they claimed they couldn't help me because I had booked through Suntransfers and not directly through them. If you want to put yourself in a situation where nobody will be accountable, book through a third party agent and see what happens. Companies should have to put some sort of disclaimer that they won't actually be offering the service. read more

I was very much disappointed with my experience of transfer from/to BKK airport to the city of Bangkok and back. First and foremost, we chose SunTransfers based on multiple raving reviews and recommendations from friends, who used the service in multiple locations. We read reviews of other providers, who perform transfers from/to BKK airport and were aware of the problems which people face there (like the driver would be late, or would not have a sign with the name of the passenger etc.), so we opted to booking SunTransfers, even though they charged us double the price other providers would charge. Still, the last thing we wanted upon early arrival to BKK after a 12h flight is to search for our driver or call the hot line. Unfortunately, upon our arrival to the meeting point, which was clearly specified in the instructions provided to us and which is clearly marked in the airport building, we couldn't find anyone with a sign of our names. We have contacted the information desk, which was not far from the meeting point to cross-check whether we were in the right place, which they confirmed. We asked a nice thai lady to help us and she called the hotline of SunTransfers in Thailand, which appeared to be off on Saturday. Very nice service indeed! After spending about 40 minutes not knowing what to do another lady suggested checking huge lists of names of different passengers for different transfer companies, which we did. To our surprise, we found our name in one of the lists. Funny enough, the name of the transfer company was not "SunTransfers", but something else, so obviously this is outsourced. After that, the "representative" of that transfer company asked us to go out in to heat and wait for 10 min till the car with the number, which he provided to us, would pick us up. What a wonderful service! This is exactly the reason we decided to pay double! When we had to go back home to Europe, the driver from SunTransfers was supposed to meet us with a sign in the lobby of our hotel. We were in the lobby on time, but nobody with a sign of our name was to be found. We contacted the reception desk and the bell boy, asking whether there was somebody searching for us. While we were doing that, some unknown number texted us via WhatsApp, saying that they were our transfer and that they were 15 minutes late. What another nice surprise! So eventually the guy came 35 minutes late. He didn't even get out of the car, but gave us a call, saying that he was at the hotel entrance. No sign, no greeting with in the lobby - nothing. Another nice surprise was that the car was not only dirty, but couldn't even fit 2 medium pieces of luggage! So one of the pieces had to travel in the front seat. We specifically ordered the pick-up early, so that we had enough time to travel to the BKK airport, particularly knowing how bad the traffic can be in Bangkok. So no surprise, we got stuck in traffic jams along the way to BKK. Flying in premium cabin provides its perks, so our airport check-in, passport and security was less than 30 mins, so we made it to our gate on time, but I'm not sure if we would not have had to book new flight tickets should we had opted for economy. I'm not sure whether it's just bad luck in our case and the usual service in Thailand by SunTransfers is as immaculate as described by different reviewers and our friends, or the provider SunTransfers outsources in Thailand is just bad, but we'd opt from using their services in Thailand ever again. read more

This dishonest company has repeatedly promised to refund our money for a trip canceled due to Covid, but will not. Their live chat is linked only to a bot and the phone number is also a scam- I waited for almost an hour and was informed from the beginning that I was caller #1 in line (ha- the punchline being the "workers" simply never picked up). My repeated e-mails were initially returned with agreements to refund, then a day later each time, I was sent yet another request to accept a voucher instead. When I replied that I could not, they said they would refund, but they never did. This cycle repeated more than once. read more

If you are flying to Cancun ***DO NOT BOOK*** with this company. My friend and myself needed a shuttle from Cancun to Tulum and after reading the reviews we figured this was the company to book with. We were very wrong! Due to the weather and recent choas of cancellations at airports we figured it best to pay the EXTRA money for their gold standard cancellation insurance. Basically ensures that if the airline was delayed, flight altered or cancelled or for any reason travel plans were disrupted we could rebook or get a refund. On arrival to the airport the flight was oversold, leaving is trying to book a new flight. As my friend was trying to rebook flight times I was trying to call this company, their number was not even registered. So I tried an online chat and waited about 15mins in a queue to speak with a human.I was told they could not rebook because we didn't not have a flight number or specific landing time so the agent stated I would be refunded. It took 2 days and multiple chats because they kept saying their "computers and systems went down" so not refund we're able to be processed but I was ensured it was coming. It felt wrong so we rebooked out transportation with another company. I'm so glad we did! After emailing 2 different customer service domains I was finally responded too. This company is trying to state that in order to get refunded I had to cancel 24hours in advance. Which is only the case if you DIDNT purchase the extra insurance. After I stayed that they tried to say because the airline cancelled, the airline will have to reimburse us. Which is also NOT THE CASE, and not part of their terms and conditions. As an active flight attendant I've travelled around the world so this was not my first encounter with a shifty company. If you are in Cancun PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! I'm so grateful I didn't book the round trip and I'm only out the $150 for one way. I will be sharing this story with as many passengers as possible when they ask who the most trustworthy company is to transport with. read more

I booked a transfer from the Madrid aiport to our hotel near the center of the city on Paseo del Prado. Unfortunately, due to a delayed flight, we missed our connection from Paris to Madrid. While I was in Paris, I contacted the company to reschedule our pickup. During a chat with customer service, the response was to the effect that "we're very busy today" and cannot reschedule your pickup. However, we are going to charge you the full price. Is this ridiculous or what? FYI - I am a very frequent business traveler and have had many airport transfers over the years. In every case, if my airline schedule was changed, the pickup time was changed in real time. This company tells me that they cannot reschedule but they are charging me. Luckily, we immediately found a company (again in real time) to pick us up at a much lower cost. This company met us at the airport, gave us a 1 hour wait time, and was holding a placard with our name as soon as we exited the airport security area. I would certainly never book with Suntransfers again - they seem to be more interested in providing no airport transfers but charging people anyways. From my standpoint, that's a great way to turn a profit - don't provide the service but charge people anyways. Wow, if I had such a business with these kind of profit margins, I would be joyous. However, in my case, I will be protesting this charge and will never use this company again. If you wish to have excellent service, use the following company in Spain or Europe: Welcome Pickups (welcomepickups.com). Avoid Suntransfers unless you like to get charged for zero service. read more

Booked Sun Transfers to and from our resort in Puerto Plata. Cabs were on time and got us where we needed to be quickly. Despite a slight language barrier, both drivers were friendly and pointed out highlights and interesting things on our trips. Customer service was also great! I was worried our 3-hour delayed flight would cause my driver to reschedule, but a representative assured me that the driver would be monitoring our flights and would adjust accordingly. And of course booking was cheap- 65.57 Euros round trip for four people. Will definitely consider booking Sun Transfers for my next airport transfer. Note: Be aware that if you're booking from the US (not sure about other countries) you may receive a small foreign transaction fee, as the company is based in Spain. read more

I booked and paid for a Suntransfers taxi to collect us on arrival at Corfu airport. I'd been trying to contact Suntransfers all day to let them know our flight was delayed but it was impossible to get through to anyone, just Suntransfers appalling 'live chat', which is just a bot spitting out phrases. We arrived an hour and a half late but the Suntransfers booking voucher was clear they monitor flight arrivals. However, when we arrived, there was no driver. We checked the arrival point, we wandered around all the outside, checked inside (Corfu airport is small) and no driver. After 15 minutes, we gave up and got another taxi. This would have been bad enough, but Suntransfers point blank refused to refund me! They pretended the driver was there all along (he wasn't - Suntransfers rang me when I was 15 minutes into my journey in the other taxi to say he'd arrived) and then said they would only refund me if I could prove the driver wasn't there! Suntransfers is unreliable and can't even acknowledge and do the right thing when they cocked up. read more

Horrible business and customer service. I'm at airport now on way to Rome (arriving tomorrow) but my connecting flight to JFK was cancelled by Delta and I had to change airline and flight time. I'm now arriving 1 hour and 15 minutes later than planned. I called the company to let them know and a very rude person basically told me I'm screwed and would have to make a new booking and pay for it. Are you kidding me? He says the connecting flight from JFK to Rome is still on time so that's all they care about. I would never book with this place ever based on such a ridiculous, unfriendly policy. Be warned and dont trust their Gold protection that says you can cancel if a flight is cancelled. Absolute crooks. I hope the $58 euros they stole from me is going to be worth the negative reviews I will be leaving on every review platform I can find. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I had used them in the past and it was great, this time the worst. American Airlines cancelled our flight, I let them know as soon as we knew it cancelled. I purchased their insurance which turns out only covers if you cancel the transfer before your flights scheduled departure time. So because American Airlines delayed and then canceled the flight I can't get a refund because it was after the original scheduled departure..... not sure I understand how that's my fault but they told me to try claiming it on a different insurance to see if they would pay instead. Once we finally arrive I spoke with them the day before departure to make sure everything was good to go for a transfer from the hotel to the airport. After some talking they got it all taken care of. Fast forward to the next day 1 PM time for departure no one shows up. I reach out they forgot to dispatch a driver, they finally arrive at 1:30 in a small Kia car which I had reserved a private minivan because we had three passengers with five bags. Our luggage didn't fit in the bag we had to carry it ourselves in the car. Once on the road he asked us three times if we were going to American Airlines and still proceeded to drop us off at Delta. I sent an email reaching out asking for a refund for both portions as you left us stranded for a half hour we almost had to take a taxi and we were running to our gate. I was refunded $13 of what cost me almost 100$ when it was all said and done, that's what they think is a fair refund..... don't ever use them!!! read more

This sounded like a great service, but their reservation web site is killing me. I tried to reserve a taxi for the next morning. First I entered all my info in the web site. At the last screen I t didn't let me reserve and asked for late booking code because it was less than 24h away. Then I chatted to a support agent and gave him all my info. Then I went back to the web site and had to enter all my info plus late booking code again. Then the web site didn't accept the late booking code. Then I chatted with another support agent. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. EVER. UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE PULLED OVER BY BARCELONA POLICE ON YOUR VACATION... AND THEN HAVE YOUR PASSPORT TAKEN AWAY. My family and I (Total 4 passengers) were picked up at Barcelona airport on Tuesday 8/11/15. On the way to the hotel in Barcelona city, we were stopped by the police. Apparently the car and the driver were NOT licensed to transport customers in Barcelona. The police demanded that we hand over our passports. It was a difficult situation as the driver did NOT speak English and the policemen did NOT speak English. We were scared and did not know what to do. We were about two blocks away from our hotel so I called the hotel and the hotel manager walked over to help translate. The police told us that we were part of an illegal operation and documents were filed. Because we were stopped by police for nearly one hour for questioning it was obviously a very bad start to the vacation. The driver, as he did not speak English, could not offer any explanations. Nor did he even offer an apology for our time and emotional distress (passport taken away in a foreign country? Having police yell in your face?). This company's unprofessionalism is nothing short of despicable. I shudder to think how many other customers have had this happen to them. read more

On time, great customer service, friendly. Used them for pick up at the Milan airport and Rome airport drop off.

FAILED TO PICK ME UP!! Upon arrival I followed the instructions given (stating that driver would be in front if a cafe in a specified terminal). Far from home, no language skill and exhausted I called after a long wait and was told the driver "drove by". Suggested they update their meeting point directive and spent obscene money on a cab. Called daily to confirm return to avoid more issues. 7am pick up for my 7pm flight was "only time available". So I was rest at 6 46, waiting as directed. Never showed up. Was told they thought I wanted to set up a private transfer due to time issue. Was given refund (*in word only. Not on my card as of now). What a wonderful service! My husband, 9 month old daughter, sister and I flew to Paris. The last time I was in Paris 6 yrs ago my taxi got into a minor accident on the way to our hotel and couldn't even find our hotel! It was horrible! I decided to go with a car service this time and let me tell you - it was well worth it and was actually less expensive than taking a cab! When we arrived in Paris the driver was waiting directly outside of the baggage claim with a sign that clearly had my name. He took one of the carts of luggage to help us get out to the car. In August 2018, I booked and paid for a transfer from Bologna to the airport for January 1 2019. They sent me a confirmation and a voucher and charged my credit card. Their voucher says there's no need to reconfirm the reservation. Don't believe that! I always reconfirm and as is my custom, I reached out to Suntransfers customer service about 10 days out to check on my paid reservation. Finding how to contact their customer service took some digging, and at first I received just an automated "we'll get back to you" response. After several days they finally responded that they could NOT provide the transfer due to a big event in Bologna. (In the early morning)! So after 5 months of holding my money and they promising a confirmed transfer, I had no ride to the airport on early New Years Day when cabs are hard to get. Worse, I really doubt they would have informed me and I'd be waiting for a ride that would never come! Fortunately my son-in-law booked me a transfer with Viator. They reconfirmed and showed up as promised! Apparently, not deterred by that big "event". So, If you do use Suntransfers, be sure to reconfirm with Customers Service because you may find yourself without a ride. Me, I will not be booking with them again. By the way, only after I called them out on holding my money for 5 months, did they offer me a 10% discount on a future service along with my refund. No offer to actually get me a transfer. Nope. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ALMOST MADE US MISS OUR FLIGHT AND THAT WOULD HAVE RUINED OUR TRIP. If I could give no stars I would. We used Sun Transfers in Spain 3 times. The first time in Madrid they showed up to the airport an hour late. We were exhausted from a 10 hour flight and just wanted to get to our hotel. We looked for the driver in the arrivals area as the instructions said to do and he was no where to be found. There were plenty of other drivers waiting there with other people's names on signs but not ours. Finally after 3 calls to Sun Transfers and after an hour of waiting, our driver showed up. We used Sun Transfers again when we arrived in Barcelona. Again there was no driver with a sign with our name on it in the arrivals area. This time the driver showed up after a 15 minute wait and 1 phone call to the company. Not ideal, but not terrible. I guess the third time is a charm. The worst experience we had was when we were leaving Barcelona and booked SunTransfers to take us to the airport. We were in the hotel lobby and ready to go at 8:30 as directed by the company. They said to call them if the driver was 5 minutes late so I did. They said they needed to call the driver and they would call me back. After waiting 10 minutes without a call back I called them again. They told me that the driver was delayed and they could not guarantee that he could get us to the airport on time so we should take taxis. They told me to email them the taxi receipts and they would issue me a refund. The refund is still pending - we'll see if they actually follow through and issue it. We barely made it to the airport on time because taxis were scarce that morning. We were traveling with a group of 8 and had we missed our flight, rebooking 8 people would have been very difficult if not impossible. Sun Transfers almost ruined our trip. Do not use them. They are not reliable. In fact, I'm not even sure they are a real company. read more

They provided a good reliable service for a good price. No complaints about their service andI reccommend using them.

I traveled extensively and I had a variety of experiences airport transportation. Suntransfers is the worst by far. To begin with, they did not show up at CDG airport to pick up my family. They had all the info, they confirmed the booking by email 2 weeks before travel and re-confirmed 48 h before. They did not show up. After a total number of 4 phone calls and 1h wait, we were told to take a cab. A day before the return flight, I called to cancel the return drive because I did not hear from them as promised and I did not want to miss the flight back. They said that they do only 48h cancellations and they do no exceptions. I asked to at least have a text message when the driver is on the way. I should mention that I paid additional fees for texting and for gold protection (insult to injury!) The return trip was an improvement, in that the driver did show up, albeit 10 min late and without texting. What made this an abysmal experience is not that the driver did not show up and did not text. Things happen. The way the situation was handled afterwards however was a perfect display of devotion to bureaucracy and no thought given to fair service. I am told that there is an investigation (they do not believe me that we were stranded in the airport? are they already imposing financial penalties on a driver?) and in 20 days I will be contacted. No mention if they even consider a refund. Despite my very gold protection and a record of desperate phone calls and emails that prove that I did not recieve what I paid for. After a total of six phone calls and ten emails, I am convinced that Suntransfers philosophy does not include consideration for the customer. If the local drivers are OK, things go smoothly, but if something goes wrong, they do nothing to help or make up for inconveniences. They fall back on a convoluted bureaucratic process that is all about them and not about the customer. read more

Upon my collection from kiev airport I was greeted by the driver and quickly taken to my hotel in the city . My return flight was cancelled the day before I was due to be picked up by sun transfers so I called them to inform them and reschedule my collection from the hotel to the airport. I spoke to customer service and informed them of my flight cancellation and asked them to reschedule my collection the following day for a later time. I was then informed that they would not reschedule my booking and what I had paid on my original booking was non refundable and that I would have to pay again in full and make another booking if I wanted to reschedule my taxi back to the airport. Unfortunately, we booked and changed the pickup, we emailed and called the day before and they still managed to get it wrong. To make matters worse they were 15 minutes away and refused to come and pick us up, we have a 2-year-old and we had booked car seat for her. the fact we had a small child made no difference to them. I must have asked nearly a dozen times if they would still be picking us up, they just kept telling me it was my fault - which it clearly was not. I have given them several opportunities to reimburse our additional costs/refund us which they have refused I could and would never trust this company, I would rather pay a little more for a reliable company and if you have children and need child seats then this is probably an important consideration for you. Had they have come back for us I would not even post this, mistakes do happen, it is how you deal with them that makes the difference leaving people stranded with a small child is inappropriate in my view. read more

Its when something goes wrong that you really learn about a company. They driver wasn't there, after 10 mins of hell of people trying to sell me taxi service, I finally found a number for them, its not in their reservations, and the local number didnt work. Had to call the US, and they did pick up and I chatted with support who wanted information about where I was (as if I am an expert in Santiago Airport!!) . Guy with no english and no sun transfer sign did appear after I spent even more time wandering through the mayhem of arrivals to take me a van, not a car as I had booked. I did get to my destination. Sun transfers reply to all the above, sorry, but our terms and conditions state we did nothing wrong. I wont be using them again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We confirmed our pick up 3 times. My daughters and I waited out in the dark at 4:00am for our driver, who NEVER showed. When I called the number on the ticket the customer service rep told me he didn't know what had happened and to just flag down a taxi - not so easy at 4am. It has been over a week and I am still waiting on a response and REFUND from the company. DO NOT USE THIS company. We traveled to 5 countries and never had an issue until we signed up for this transfer company on the last day of our trip. It looks like we are not the only ones who had drivers no show given the reviews noted below. Don't make the same mistake. Ubers are cheaper and clearly more reliable. read more
