Highly recommend Sunslayer, with 30 years of experience definitely knows what their stuff when it comes to tint!!

The service tech was professional and respectful and provided an excelent product to use on our sliding glass doors. Since our house has sliders front and back we chose a tough mirror finish tint so that others couldn't see al the way through our house while the blinds were open. I must also say it is entetaining to watch the birds around our house hover at the slider to check themselves out. Good work, fair price. the tinting also provides addedd protection to provent the window from shatering if struck. read more

I was back home on vacation with my new truck and wanted to get my windows tinted. I have a 2015 Ram 2500 quad cab, split rear window. Rick explained tint options to me and educated me on tint in general. He uses exclusively Llumar tint which carries a legit warranty. He removed some cheap aftermarket tint off the two front windows and wrapped my truck in 15% with a sun strip. Price was fair and he was done right on time which was perfect. Truck turned out awesome and I am stoked. I would recommend his shop to anyone in the San Diego county area looking to get the benefits that tint has. Thanks Rick. Cheers Joel read more

I finally heard from the owner four days after he was supposed to show up. He told me his three-year-old came down with COVID-19. I accept this and therefore will increase my rating to average. I wish I could've seen if he truly was the best in San Diego but that's not gonna happen now read more

Rick is a craftsman in the real sense of the word: he knows his trade, he takes his time, and he gets it right. The proof is all there in the yelp photos: every one of those vehicle pictures were taken by Rick himself (he took pics of my car just moments after finishing the job). Now how many tint guys do you know who are confident enough to present their work to public scrutiny like that? Sunslayer /is/ a bit pricier than other places, but hell you get what you pay for. read more

I brought my 13 wrx hatchback and he was able to take it in and gave me a good deal. As others have said, Rick has 24+ years of tinting experience. This gentleman know his stuff. He is very meticulous, took his time, and showed it through his work. He is a long time supporter of the military and will cater to your needs. Please avoid those car audio shops on coast hwy that price there tints at $89. You get what you pay for. Here at Sunslayer, he uses top quality tint from Llumar. Those shops as i have been told will have you coming back because of the poor quality material. So do your self a favor, if the best tint, life time warranty and the only professional in north county to install it for you give Rick a call now, you don't have to look no further. Thanks Rick! -Dennis read more

Unbelievable! Super creepy guy. Made several appointments and he blew me off, when I finally went to the shop I heard him yelling at someone and decided to leave. A bunch of sketchy people in the shop where he was tinting, not a safe place to take your wife or kids car... read more

Rick is a true professional and craftsman. He knows his trade of window tinting like the back of his hand. With over 20 years of window tinting experience you have nothing to worry about when it comes to a quality job and finish. Rick truly cares about his customers and values their business, not only does he explain all his products and answers your questions in a way that you can understand but he offers your exactly what your asking for and doesn't try to over sell you. I highly recommend Rick if you're struggling with finding a business to do your tinting. read more

Not a big fan of shady business deals. Does not car about final products, timeline was way off due to whatever goes on outside of he business. Won't recommend to anyone I care about I am not sure why yelp won't let my review stay up there. Yelp is supposed to be about the good and the bad, about honesty. So please let the post stick because the community needs to know that this man is not honest and not good to his community. read more

Check it out this was the most easiest decision i made when it came to getting my car tinted. Seems like these days these companies are too expensive or too lazy to do the work. I just needed the back window of my mercedes done most of you who own Mercedes you put cheap tint on the minute you start turning you rear window defroster within a few months it bubbles up. Well he uses only the best tint and offers warranty on the tint. I found a few shops on yelp and they wanted to charge me upwards of $250 to do one window and they were using 3m the cheapest stuff on the market. This guy was honest and affordable. He told it like it was and was very knowledgeable of the material he was using. I have always had my windows tinted and at a young age learned the difference between 3m and llumar tint. I have had both and what he was saying validated what i was told in the past. Lets get to the service itself the guy was friendly. He squeezed me in between appointments and did a stellar job. He knocked it out quick right in front of me. I guess thats what you get when you have a professional do something. The guy was like an artist he laid the film down before i knew it it was cut perfectly he prepped the back window and had on the window just as fast. When he was done the window looked great and like other places didnt leave a mess all over the back of my car. He cleaned up after himself wiping down any wet spots and took his time to clean the outside of the back window so you can see how clean of a job he did. He walked you through the inspection told me what to look for if for some reason the tint didnt take or any other type mishaps that might occur. He reassured me to bring it back if something does happen. I write reviews because im really happy with services or enjoyed the things i have purchased. There really is no grey area in my post. 5 stars to me means i am really stoked on this place if you get a 1 well you have completely lost my business. Give this guy a 5 star and i will forever direct people to him. Thank you and i will be in contact soon to get my truck windows tinted also fyi he is by appointment only most quality places are read more

Rick tinted our Lexus, did a fantastic job! Really personable guy, went out of his way to explain the tints, & the process. Job was completed at the time he told us. Highly recommend SunSlayer if you want a quality tint job. Great supporter of the military. Don't bother with going to anyone else. He's top notch! read more

Rick is the rockstar of tinting. I went in to have a couple windows tinted on my Element and he was so personable & his work is unbelievably top notch. On top of that we hung out while he was working and became fast friends. I remember him working on base years ago and am now priveleged to have SunSlayer right next to my pad. Will always go for my tinting needs for sure. Thanx David read more

Rik did an awesome job on my wife's car! I was worried because it is over a year old and I'm sure not perfect to work with after being used a while, but it turned out wonderfully! As a seasoned yelper, I always look through several reviews before choosing who our family does service with. It helps that Rik is very close by to our business, but I certainly would not have used him if he hadn't had great reviews. As a business owner myself I appreciated his approach with explaining his product line, affordable pricing, the lifetime warranty, and the fact that he is an authorized installer told me that whatever happens he'll stand behind the product. Its getting rare to find people that are true quality tradesmen. Rik is one of these people. He knows his stuff and backs it up 100%. I have no doubt we'll be referring him to several friends and customers! Quality, Price, timing, and a pleasure to work with! read more

I'm a prior service Marine and now enlisted in the Army as Military Police, so when discussing a service that should have went smoothly, this definitely was not one of this instances. The first thing was the increase of price that was already agreed upon which was $100.00, second the tint that was applied started to deteriorate two months from the date of the application. When asked why the price increased he raised his voice at my wife and started to go off, for all enlisted members who know the anger that took place after that for that to happen and you not be present words just can't describe......don't ever go to this place for service for any reason and spend your money somewhere else where respect to your significant other will be given... read more

I've had 10 vehicles tinted over the course of the past 9 years at 3 different shops. I used Sunslayer for my most recent purchase, a 2012 Challenger R/T. He did an excellent job, the window lines are perfectly cut, and the pricing was very decent. The only reason it wasn't a full five-star review was because I had to scrub off water overspray around the windows, which dried white on my black interior. Other than that, I'd recommend the place. Nice guy, too. read more

Called them up and received a next day appointment. We discussed what tint would look best on my car and got a quote. He's perfect. Made every window crisp. You can tell he's been doing it for 27 years. Really friendly down to earth guy. It's legit. Took 3 hours to finish, he took his time and made sure the little corner windows were perfect. Very impressed. read more

Good quality work, Rick is really straight forward and actually cares about what the finish product looks like.

I am not a car person. I just hate burning my buns off on hot car seats in the summer. So when it came to getting my new car windows tinted, I looked up the best place around and it was clearly Sunslayer. Now Rick is someone who loves cars. And he clearly cares about making sure the customer knows what he plans to do and how...he even put a little sign on my indoor window so I didnt forget and roll it down ....I definitely would have ruined the new tinting. I wish I had another car to go and get tinted but I guess I will need to wait another 5 years before I can go see Rick again! read more

I have been shopping around to get my windows tinted and most places seem to have outrageous prices except when I called Sunslayer and spoke to Rick last week to get my camper shell and back panel windows tinted. Although it was short notice he was very prompt about getting me in and helping me with the tint job. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the tint and how the process worked. I highly recommend coming to his location on coast highway. He did an amazing job and will be bringing in my other vehicles for him to hook them up also! Thanks Rick!!! read more

Outstanding service. I've been here twice so far and I got an appt the day I called him. Rick is a very friendly guy and does exceptional work. I have my 2017 Nissan fully tinted from him, even the windshield and a year later, it still looks great! His shop is very clean and the work is done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great car tint at a awesome price! I will be coming back with my other car as well. read more

Excellent workmanship, superior quality materials, and customer service that goes above and beyond! After receiving several estimates of all pricing levels for the same job, and not feeling confident with the quality of materials and workmanship of the low cost competitors, I decided to move forward with Sunslayer. They are not the cheapest, nor are they the most expensive, but in the end, the knowledge of the installer, product material reviews and labor and material guarantees meant more to me and gave me the value I was looking for overall. Highly recommended to those who want a quality job, with real guarantees that the tint will not need to be redone in a few years. Thanks Rick and Sunslayer for a job well done! read more

Go to another place! Had the 2 front windows and the windshield tinted. Horrible, garbage. He even did the front passenger side twice with the same results. For 350 bucks I expect more. I brought in my niece's car to be tinted, for a birthday gift wasn't really sure what to expect... by 15 to 20 minutes there speaking with Rick I was ready to have Sunslayer tint the windows. I would like to give a big thanks to Rick for taking the time out to explain, answer questions, and inform me with the law regulations of tinted windows. Rick is a master of window tinting as well as taking the customer's concerns to the next level! Thanks for making my gift a great one. read more

I found Rick's shop, Sunslayer, on Yelp, and was amazed at all the 5 star reviews. Now I can see why he gets all 5 stars. I took my Honda Accord in for some new tint on the front driver and passenger windows. He got me in right away. Did a fantastic job! My old tint was peeling away, and I could barely see out of the windows. What a difference now! Would highly recommend Sunslayer to anyone in the SD area. Quality tint material at a quality price. Thanks Rick for making my baby look pretty again :) read more

Got windows done with Rick, all came out good except for one small corner in one of the windows. Rick redid the tint on that one window free of charge. Came out great and even had him do my sunroof. It was my first time there and Rick was so nice easy to talk to and did a great job on my tint!!

So, I'd say I'm a pretty frugal shopper. & I know good quality when I see it! That being said, I did a lot of shopping around online and on yelp for the best place in tinting for the best price. Sunslayer may not be the cheapest in town, but you definitely get what you pay for!! You're paying for an exceptional product that's backed by a lifetime guarantee & can be utilized at any licensed LLumar Dealer in the Country & Canada. Rick is the owner @ Sunslayer Window Tinting and does all of the tinting that comes to his business. Basically, because he wants to give the best quality work out there. The saying goes, "If you want something done right, then you must do it yourself." And he did just that! Rick hooked up my GTI with the 15% LLumar. I couldn't be more satisfied with the work & his professionalism. The dude knows his sh*t! ) Point of the story is...Don't waist time shopping around for the best price. Just take your car to the best in the craft, Sunslayer Window Tinting. read more

I firmly believe that you get what you pay for, and with Rick at Sunslayer Window Tinting you pay for an exceptional product (backed by a lifetime guarantee that can be utilized at any licensed LLumar Dealer) applied with the utmost care and diligence.
