Initially I was a bit wary at the prospect of even starting therapy, but when I finally decided to take the plunge I was treated with a prompt and informative email; from the very beginning, she was responsive and attentive to my needs. She recommended an over the phone consult and paired it with a questionnaire for me to fill out in order to get a sense of who I was/am as a person. Those two small gestures allowed me to feel comfortable, and gave me a solid sense of who I was going to be spending 1:1 time with for my sessions. Since the first interactions going forward it has been a rewarding experience. I've gained definitely gained perspective and insights from my time spent with her- she's challenged me, provided me with out of session tasks, recommended supplemental readings, as well as offering ideas of personal projects to further my insights into what I want and how that's possible. I reassured my client that psychiatrists don't judge or abandon clients when these things happen. I will never ever refer Dr. Kiriakos to anyone ever.

My wife came back from an appointment and told me how rude and mean she was and wants to find a new doctor. I don't know what is happening with the doc. But my neighbor who originally referred us to her, we ran into each other the other day, and she said she is afraid to see her because she isn't the same person the last year, last time she saw her the dr. got mad because she wasn't taking the vitamins she sold at the office, she raised her voice at her and made her feel like a bad child. The neighbor is seeing another doctor and gave us their info. I thought we were loosing our minds or personal to just my wife and me, no it isn't. Dr. Moshfeghi has become very impatient and frankly borderline uncomfortable to be around. Now we have to find another doctor. Sad very sad !
