Called me everyday about nothing. Then once I had enough & decided to take them out she said she's going to make sure my kindergartener is held back because he stressed her out not because he cannot do the work but because he wouldn't sit down (he's 5) & do not give them outside time at all. I couldn't not write a review. Food allergy issues: They are extremely particular about what they allow you to pack your kid for lunch. My son is allergic to dairy. The school is VERY conscious of nut allergies but did not give two craps about his dairy allergy. I could not pack him virtually any basic snacks like organic vegan "cheezits", organic veggie straws, ketchup packets, etc.. They nitpicked something in his lunchbox on a weekly basis. As if having a preschooler with a food allergy isn't hard enough!! They said it was because they didn't allow foods that were processed in the same facility as nuts but 1- I sent them labels for the foods that show where it says "nut free facility" and 2- if they care so much about being nut free, why didn't they care about my sons allergy?!? Then there were the parties. At Christmas, the ONLY food my child could eat was the snack I signed up to bring. Many of the foods could have easily been made a dairy-free option. Like instead of Doritos, having regular or BBQ lays chips. But the teachers didn't care enough to put in the effort to make the Christmas party inclusive. My son attended private 3yo pre-k at a church and is now in 1st grade. Our experience in pre-k at New Odyssey was by far the worst as far as dealing with his allergies in school goes. His other teachers have been incredible. This place acted inconvenienced and I often felt singled out. Only reason I didn't leave was because nowhere else had a pre-k opening. They allow high schoolers to park in their parking lot. One of them backed into my nanny while she was waiting in the carpool line. Thankfully no kids were in the back seat!! Do you think they banned the teen from parking there?? Nope. The daycare owner didn't even seem to see what the big deal was or understand why I was so upset. She didn't even call me. It took her 2 days to call me back after I called her. It is careless and irresponsible. The other reviewer is right. Jennifer at the front desk has a bad attitude. That seems to be pretty standard among daycare front desk staff though. So, if your child has food allergies or other special needs, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. These people don't go the extra mile.

It is scary leaving your child with complete strangers, entrusting them in their care......New Odyssey understood my worries and never once did I feel like my child was a number. Miss Isabel was the first person I ever left my child with at New Odyssey and I fell in love with her care and with New Odyssey!! Tricia, Jennifer, and Cathy are amazing and have always listened and never judged me for any questions I have asked over the years. I was sad we could never do after care when my son started school, but he still loves to go to New Odyssey in the summer and any chance he can get!! For starters she hires just anyone to work here. There is an older woman with short hair that acts busy but does nothing and puts work on others than doing things herself. My children went here for the summer and will never return because most of the staff is horrible. There is one young girl that wore glasses and and she had a puff at the top of her head (Did not know her name) she was quiet, but she was so sweet with my kids, and they loved her. My kids always talk about her. The Kitchen lady has the worst attitude and my kids always complained about things they heard her saying bad things that kids should not hear. Also the chain daycare's where the children are being taught by young people who have no patience and allow the kids to run through the facilities. The daycare in which my child was able to get lost for an hour and a half due to it being as large as a Childtime type facility where there are too many kids and any child can come up missing. I was livid. Also, they were negligent in knowing if my child was sick so with my child having a history a febrile seizures my child would literally fall out from a fever and hit the ground in those hard floor classes and that was my last straw. My co-worker then told me about Mrs. Dennis's daycare and advised that his twins were being well taken care of and so I met Mrs. Dennis and I haven't ever regretted a day, after almost 6 years of knowing her. She was amazing she knew my child was not feeling well and she never would allow sick kids be in the facility till the fever's were not in their systems. Needless to say, my child never caught a cold or had a seizure at her facility due to her constant cleanliness of the school and as well as her making sure people don't just drop their sick kids off and make the whole school sick. It's amazing how people have issues with her school but the ones that have known her for years and have kids out of school don't get on here to say negative things. People really need to get their facts straight and stop putting negative and false information out on her school. The truth is she is always professional, she is compassionate and one of the most selfless daycare owner's I have ever met. She loves all of the kids in her school and she would give you the shirt off her back if necessary. She is a very humble and giving person and I love her and her family. She has done well by me and many other parents I know. So when I see negative reviews it makes me absolutely disgusted and livid because people are trashy and just let any old trash come out their mouths when they are jealous or envious or even just in a negative space themselves. As for my infant, she is SPOILED by Ms. Tiffany and her Staff; my child gives me the '' I don't want to go home'' look every time at pick up. Her smile lightens up the moment she sees her teachers every morning. From the beginning they have answered all my questions, and helped vanish my anxiety. Coming from a school where my children were not eating breakfast until 10AM on summer school days, to walking into a school where they have FRESH breakfast waiting for the children at 6:50 AM during school and summer days. Teachers don't wear shoes nor do they have any clue as to what is going on. Teachers have stated the owner Mrs. Ham does not respect them, tells them to shut up but due to the pay in the area, they quit and come back or stay because they need a job. When brought to the owner's attention about my child's scratches on their face or my concerns about the teacher not resolving conflict, her response "what is it you want me to do about it" YOUR JOB MAAM!!! Depending on a teacher your child has, your child is more than likely to not have their diaper, pull up, or underwear to change if it has been soiled until the end of day. There have been other parents concerned about why their child has had rashes and has broken out on their bottom, because the lack and or negligence of monitoring the children going to the bathroom. let's not mention, they have cameras, however, none of the cameras work in the classroom. So if you have a concern about your child, the answer is always "oh... I don't know, you have to ask Mrs. Ham" or "I dont know." Also, please be aware the clothes you send with your children are more than likely to end up on another child's body and you would never see the clothes you sent with them. When it comes to the "learning Academy" your child would not learn anything. Once again, it really depends upon the teacher that is assigned to your child if they stay and or last more than three months. Other than that, you are better off, teaching your child at home. Don't believe me, ask some of the moms, and or dads that come out every single morning or every single evening. Enroll your child at your own risk. So much potential but very lackluster.

He attended a Mother's Morning Out last year, and I thought GA Pre-K would really help prepare him for kindergarten next year. I was incredibly impressed with New Odyssey's open door policy to visit the school. They were the only preschool that I visited that did not require an appointment to preview the Pre-K classrooms. After visiting the school and seeing the wonderful Pre-K classrooms, they advised that I bring my son to also visit to see how he liked the school. I greatly appreciated that kind offer. I am thrilled that New Odyssey is the Pre-K program that we chose for our son Jaxon. I am grateful for the incredible care and learning that he is receiving from his teachers Ms. Laurie and Ms. Kelly. They are just perfect! I also appreciate that any time I call to ask a question, that all of their staff from their director to their Asst. director etc. are more than happy to answer any questions that I may have. When I pick my son up each afternoon and ask him how his day was, he literally does a happy dance in my car, LOL!! That makes my heart happy. Thank you so much New Odyssey for giving my little boy a loving, learning experience.
