It's unfortunate that I have to write this review but I feel like I was completely duped. By the reviews I saw online of this company I was impressed at first -5 stars, women owned, and local - I thought "how perfect!" Then the day came for my cleaning and no one showed up at the time they specified. After about 15 minutes, I called and asked where they were and if they were having trouble since no one has arrived yet and the owner just said "oh ya I was about to call you, they're on their way." Right. Another 20 minutes later I get a call from the owner saying they are having trouble finding the place so I give directions and excited they are finally there. NOPE. Another 30 MINUTES passes, total of 1 hr, of waiting for them. I open the door and they just smile like they didn't just show up an hour late and no apology either. 2 people sent and they both worked in each room at the same time. 2.5 hours for a 1 bed 1 bath that really only needed the kitchen and bathroom done seems a bit odd. The place didn't even smell clean when they left and they left dust all over the floor! (Picture attached) The owner never apologized for the complete lack of respect of my time and quite frankly the job done was not worth the money. Great attention to detail, did things I didn't ask or expect (dishes, laundry) the ladies were quick and efficient, I was very pleased with their work and will continue to use their cleaning services in the future. Update: had set up another appt to have my house cleaned, price had changed and I wasn't informed and I paid for a longer period then what my house was cleaned for. ABSOLUTELY love Sunshine House Cleaning Service! $60/hour with 2 incredibly amazing ladies, it is definitely so worth it. This is my second time requesting house cleaning services from Sunshine House Cleaning, and each time they did not disappoint. I message Erika via YELP and she responds the same day. I LOVE how flexible she is with working with my schedule. I have never had an issue with them arriving late, they are on time and ready to go, with a smile on their face. :) I let them know which areas around the house need to be cleaned and the duration of time that I am paying them for. After that, they work SO hard and do SUCH A GREAT JOB. I have done a lot of research on house cleaning services around Ventura, and this one is the most affordable with such great service. Sunshine House Cleaning was great! Was looking for a good cleaning service to come in after another cleaning service did a terrible job, at a new two story home in Agoura Hills, that required a thorough cleaning after renovations. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. She sent out a terrific cleaning crew to go over the entire house again, it took them all day but the house looked amazing. Ericka and her team are wonderful to work with, and the cleaning ladies did a fantastic job. They were thorough, detail oriented, and efficient. They even cleaned the windows! All of my communications with Ericka were via Yelp messaging and she is very quick to respond. I previously used another cleaning service who charged quite a bit more and didn't do nearly as good a job as Sunshine Cleaning service. I've already booked them again. I just had my condo cleaned by Yolanda and Anna. Wow!! These two are amazing! They cleaned areas I never even thought of when I clean on my own. I had a stain in one of my toilets and they were able to clean it away! (I had spent so much time trying on my own) This place is reasonably priced and they do an amazing job. They showed up on time and worked quickly but thoroughly (without milking the clock) and it only took 3 hours (fairly small 2+2 condo) I will definitely be using this service again. I have used them several times. They have been late almost every time. Not just minutes late either... hours late. The manager told me she would give me a $30 discount for their tardiness. Then they charged me $30 more than they usually charge. They do a very mediocre job on cleaning. The last time they came they did not clean my kitchen sink. I will not be using them again. read more

Saw the great Yelps and was excited to try a good trustworthy cleaning crew. First time they cleaned was great. Second time- as others mentioned-very late without any notice. Third time would be their last. Over 45 mins late so I called- they let me know the staff HAD OVERSLEPT but were on the way. When I got home, our TV was turned on the Netflix, our computer was set in spanish, and they had believe it or not stolen our hot tea. I reached out to them to stress my concerns and let them know we will not be using them anymore and never recieved a reply. Hire at your own risk! Very disappointed!! read more

Sunshine Cleaning does an amazing job on my home. They come every week, on-time and do a fantastic job. They even put everything back where it was exactly so I don't have to go through the house after they leave and re-position everything. My hubby and I were out of town for the start of the Thomas Fire. When we got home, which was thankfully still standing, it was filthy from the heavy foot traffic, soot, and dust. The mess was everywhere. I called and asked if they could help on short notice. They were awesome! They showed up the next morning and cleaned the inside while my hubby and I cleaned the damages in our yards (debris, vegetation, burned fences). We all finished in before dark and it was great. The team was incredibly flexible, and as an out-of-town landlord, I appreciate that very much. They were able to clean the apartment and took some of those really difficult spots off from the tub and refrigerator. They were about 30 minutes early, which caused some issues with my schedule, but they understood immediately and courteously. I made an appointment a week out, she texts the morning of to tell me she only accepts online payment, which I don't do. I ask if cash is okay, she tells me she doesn't want her employee to see, hmm. You don't trust them with a sealed envelope of cash but its cool if they come in my house? Or you don't want them to see how much you're charging compared to how little you pay them? Its one or the other. Then she offers to meet me for the cash? You're WAY overcharging and I need to meet you? I have not had a cleaner before and so was unsure of rates, she quotes me $0.19/sq foot and is only sending 1 person, thats $292.60!!! What? I called another company and even with a $25 upcharge for same day service, I still paid only $155 for the same services, thats half of what Sunshine was going to charge and they sent 2 people. Then she tells me before we have even figured out payment, 2 hours before she is supposed to be here, that its rude of me because her worker is already on the way, then ends chat and blocks me. So I had the same experience as a couple of other Yelpers in that they were super late so we ended up cancelling. I booked my first appointment for 11:30am. 20 min past that nothing. So we call to see if they're still coming. They said they'll be here by 12:30pm. I need them done by ~2pm, so they said they can be done cleaning by then (initially was planned for 2 hrs, which makes me wonder how good of a job would it be then...). 12:30 rolls around still not here and so we cancel at this point (course in hindsight should've cancelled when we first called and they'd be an hour late! But thought we've already been waiting half an hour and they had mostly really good reviews....). Very very frustrating. read more

We have used 4 companies to do a deep cleaning of our house in the past and I have never been impressed by their service. That was until Saturday when Erika sent her ladies over, they did a phenomenal job. They moved furniture to clean behind them, wiped dog hair off the wall and wiped down the cabinets in the bathroom. It's been two days and I am still finding places they cleaned. With other companies I usually find spots they missed. I haven't found one yet this time around . I decided to give this place another try, and I have since hired them on for biweekly cleaning. The staff always do a wonderful job, they work their butts off, and my (very messy) home is cleaned for a very fair price. You have the option to leave you key for them, or give them a key to get in if you aren't home. Or you can be at home while the clean too, that is an option as well. Very nice people too. read more

I have now used her for a few months and have thankfully developed into a trusting relationship where she can be at our home if we cannot be, even with short notice. It is helpful for me that she is fluent in English, I had had a bit of a lost in translation issue with some past cleaners.
