I don't usually have a lot of fish and chips, let alone, tried many places so please take that into consideration when reading this review :) I spoke with Tim & Jesse over the phone and they were really friendly and accommodating! They don't usually take reservations ahead of the date but rather, they take it day of. However, since we were coming out of town, Tim made an exception for us! Thanks a bunch Tim! :D We ordered the Atlantic Cod and Deep Fried Mac and Cheese. Both were really tasty! I found the Deep Fried Mac and Cheese especially addictive (since they were in cute triangle bite-sized pieces, crispy on the outside and still cheesy and creamy on the inside) before we left to return to Toronto, we grabbed one for the road! We also tried the mozzarella sticks which were awesome when you had them freshly made and the cheesy-ness and stretchy-ness just added to the experience! And no, frozen versions from the supermarkets aren't the same DUH! It will definitely be a place I will go to whenever I visit Owen Sound and I highly recommend all to try this place out! The cod and halibut was good but they had Alaskan white fish which I thought was amazing. This is the only place that I know can get this fish. This is a must try. The prices are reasonable. The chips and the sweet potato fries were really good too. We also ordered the shrimp platter. It presented well but nothing special. They ran out of the crab cakes so we will try that another time. Will definitely come back for the Alaskan white fish.

To my surprise, the place was very busy. This shown how good it is. The service was attentive and efficient, while the food was tasty and priced right. The egg Benedict has been one of the best I had so far with a very well made sauce. My wife ordered the daily special Lasagna, and it was very well made as well. What great was that the lasagna seems made to order. It came out hot with crispy top and melting cheese inside. If I ever pass by to this place on Highway 10, I will definitely have a good meal there.

The mushroom sauce on top was a nice addition to the overall taste. The schnitzel came with a generous and delicious helping of root vegetables and mashed potatoes. It isn't related to the other "Landing" restaurants that are around Toronto. There is a patio that looks out onto the marina. It's very lovely but we were afraid of bugs so we stayed inside. We noticed that another group that was originally outside moved in after it got dark. You can catch the sunset here though, very scenic! Inside they have normal tables and ones with loungey leather chairs. You tend to sink into the latter so it makes it a little harder to eat unless you're sitting right at the edge of the table. These would be great if you're just having a drink. Service was good. The waitress checked in on us a few times and our waters were always topped off. The food was the part that fell a bit short. The maple pork medallions were the best thing at the table. I ordered a pound of wings which is supposed to be an appetizer but was quite filling for me. Interestingly enough, I had wings earlier that day and this 1 pound of wings had more wings than the other place, so at least you got a lot more in quantity. In terms of quality, I had a garlic parmesean sauce. The bottom of the dish was almost all oil - I have to assume that this is from the parm oil. It almost looked like butter but didn't taste like it. The wings were pretty dry inside and out. I also found a tiny tiny fly mixed in with the cheese. Not sure if it was from the patio door being opened so frequently. My friend was also disappointed in the chicken pasta. It was pretty bland and she had to salt it a lot to no avail. We wanted to try the dessert to see if the meal could be salvaged. We ordered the caramel chocolate cake. This cake had a hint of soap taste to me. My friends liked it though. If you want something a little different than a chain restaurant, this wasn't bad. It wasn't as nice as other hotel restaurants but it was fine for a utility meal.

I only had ice cream (Salty Caramel) and fries here, so I can't fully speak to the food but what I did have was delicious. I saw nothing but hardworking, friendly and fun-loving staff during my visit and will definitely be back to try their breakfast the next time I'm in town. Restrooms are also labeled for "Guys, Dolls & Family" so that's super cute. Give this adorable little place a try!

I was not a fan of the beef but the chicken was delicious. My salad had lettuce tomato carrots onion and cucumbers and my naan bread was served warm. It was a large portion and prepared well. The coleslaw was horrible. Very bitter. And brown. Not a colour I think of for coleslaw. Not sure if something was wrong with it or not. Service is friendly and fast. The place was nice and quiet. This may be ok for just adults, but overall does not compare to other restaurants we frequent. Overall, we found it very expensive. Two orders of fish and chips and one order of chicken fingers, two soft drinks, came to over $60 when we were done. Due to the high prices, limited selection, and not being kid friendly at all (in a location where families would frequent baffles me), only two stars.

Everything is great quality especially the hashbrowns. For dinner we had a clubhouse in Salsbury steak. The Caesar salad is great because it has real bacon in it. The place isn't fancy, it is a diner but the food is fantastic. Very cheerful service. Giving it five stars because it's everything you expect from a diner and the prices are good.
