Shohreh maintains timely communication with all parents and staff through an app, giving parents a thorough breakdown of every child's routine. The app Shohreh uses conveniently allows for daily communication, check-ins throughout the day, and safe pick-ups and drop-offs. The daycare is regularly meticulously sanitized and Shohreh's organization of the day care allows each child their own personalized space for belongings. Found this daycare online when we were desperately in need of one for my then 18month old. Mrs. Shohreh gave us a tour of the place and we fell in love. There is a program for every day, the place is super clean and organized. In the last 6 months, my son has become a lot more social, talks more and has learned so many things like colors, animals, shapes and more. Cannot recommend this place enough. Also, I love that we bring our own food because I like to feed my son healthy food. But even with this Mrs. Shohreh always surprises the kids with fruits or snacks that she provides. Last week they made hotdogs for everyone and the week before the kids went on a field trip to the nearby park and had a blast. Also, the daycare uses the Procare app. Which is amazing, they send pictures and videos throughout the day and every activity is documented. Registered my 18 month old Covid baby at this daycare. Naturally my son had some stranger/separation anxiety, but Shoreh and her staff were so uncaring and cold towards him. They actually sent me unsettling videos of him crying while he was looking around for any adult attention, the staff literally walking away from him while recording, trying to make a point that he was "needy". As a new parent going back to work, that's not something you want to see in the middle of the day. Shoreh has "learning time" where infants and toddlers are expected to sit and pay attention through lessons. She told me that my son was disrupting class and (her exact words) "look at the other kids, how quietly they sit" My son did not even last 2 full days here. The third/last day, she called me saying I should come pick him up while telling her staff to "pack up his stuff" Was told that "he is not ready for the daycare environment" Shoreh seems to run this daycare with a business attitude where children are expected to not cry or give anyone a hard time during the initial transition. She was not understanding or reassuring at all. I would give 0 stars if possible. After this terrible experience, I would never recommend this place. I would also advise parents to look at the prior code violations (public information) this place has had. read more

Our son loves Sunshine Day care and we are so grateful to have found Ms Shoreh's daycare. Our son Leo loves going to daycare and playing with his friends and all the extra activities that the kids do at Sunshine Daycare. He loves Mr. Ashton's music class on Wednesdays and another aspect we as parents love is the procare app so we always are updated throughout the day on how he is doing. This daycare also gets the kids ready for kindergarten, and Ms Shoreh does a great job at teaching the kids new topics each and every day. I started both my kids at Sunshine when they were 6 months old. Both of course cried a lot at the beginning, but Shohreh and her team worked with them during the transition period and are doing great now. One of the things I love is they have a dedicated space to run the daycare at the back of their house. I visited some in home daycares and really didn't care for having the daycare run inside of the house where the owners lived. Shohreh keeps it super clean, vacuums daily, shoes kept outside. So lucky to have Shohreh and her team looking after my little ones. I know they will be safe and cared for when I'm away at work. read more

I just read the review from June 24 about the child who was asked to leave after 1 week and I came here to say that this was my same experience! My daughter was dismissed from the daycare because she was not independent enough to be in a daycare setting . She was repeatedly compared to children who did not cry as much and on our last day we were advised that she was not ready for daycare at this time. However, when we took her to a new daycare she had no issues adjusting and has been joyful and happy during pickup, drop off, and all update pictures. This was not our experience with Shoreh and her staff. Our daughter was constantly miserable and did not look happy in the majority of the pictures or videos we saw. At one point we received a video of her falling asleep in a crib standing up as proof that she was disruptive to the class environment right before she was let go. While I am sure Shoreh and her staff are great providers for children who are comfortable going to daycare, from my experience they do not have the patience to handle children with separation anxiety. I would advise looking for a care provider who is more empathetic and can take time to help your child transition. read more

Shohreh and Sunshine Daycare have been amazing for our family. Our daughter has been there for a little over a year and she loves it. She's learned so much and has made some amazing friends. She started off in the infant class and is now in the toddler class where she gets to learn something new every day. The teachers are so kind and caring and take great care of our daughter. Sunshine Day Care is a blessing for parents, especially new parents. Words can not express how grateful my wife and I are to have found this amazing place. My wife and I visited at least 11 different day cares before falling in love with Sunshine. It only took 45 minutes with Shohreh for my wife to say "this is the place for our Zeliana". Shohreh is a professional in every sense of the word. She keeps the day care in pristine condition at all times (very clean), cleans babies with great frequency, plays and engages with the children, refrains from television, teaches them how to communicate (such as pointing to their month when hungry), and has the children nap together like clock work. Another cool thing is that Shohreh wears her scrubs almost everyday, which is a testament to her dedication to her craft. Our daughter Zeliana recently started pre school and her first week was phenomenal due to the many things she learned from Shohreh at Sunshine. The preschool is amazed as to how well our daughter listens to direction,communicates, and plays with other kids her age. That is all thanks to Shohreh. Thank you sunshine daycare!!! They have been a life saver since April 1, 2023! I was finally ready to transition into working full time again since my daughter was now 3 years old and fully potty trained! I got hired and within a week I was starting and freaking out because all the daycare options I was looking at were $1,400-$1,500 every month for the hours I would need her cared for. Then I found Ms. Shohreh and Sunshine Daycare! From the day we first visited the home based center on Friday, she started full time the following Monday! I was so anxious because I already knew it would take her a little while to not cry her heart out every morning I dropped her off but Ms. Shohreh was so welcoming and understood, the best part is she didn't make me feel guilty or embarrassed! Then there is the curriculum! They have a full day of learning activities and I am provided feedback on what activities my daughter does and does not engage in so I can work one on one with her at home! The team also uses the pro care app which is a GAME CHANGER. The staff update the app every time she Is signed in, eats, uses the restroom, participates in the learning activities, and there are daily photos and videos uploaded everyday!! My daughter started at Sunshine Daycare in August 2023 and it has been great! Shohreh and her team are fabulous! The daycare is safe, spacious, and very clean. The daily routine is very structured and includes learning and art activities, outside fun, as well as an optional weekly music class. They celebrated my daughters birthday and made her feel so special and all holidays are celebrated with fun activities. They all communicate very well and I love that we are kept up to date every day through an app where they upload pictures and videos, and inform us when she eats, naps, when she has her diaper changed, and when she gets picked up. Shohreh is the best! She works with me as a new parent to take care of my son and also provides her professional tips and tricks to get him to feel his best. I was so distressed when I had to go back to work but knowing that Shohreh is taking care of my son while I'm at work puts my mind at ease. It was difficult as a brand new mom to leave my baby to go back to work, but Shohreh and her bright, happy daycare made that transition so much easier. From the moment I stepped in the door I felt at ease - everything was immaculate (no shoes allowed indoors!) and there was soothing music playing and lots of age appropriate toys. This review is not for their services, who knows they may be a good daycare facility. I am an expecting mother calling to get more information about their programming for a baby that will be due next year, and the woman who answered the phone was so off-putting. When asked, she would provide no information about the center because they are "all booked up." She did not even ask when I might be expecting to enroll my child. She did not offer the waitlist because it's apparently so full, they are not adding to it. She instead suggested I get more information about the facility on Facebook. I don't usually write reviews based on mere phone inquiries, but when trusting my child with someone else, it certainly won't be here. We are so grateful to have met Shohreh and that she watches our son Wesley each day. She does a wonderful job and take great care of our baby boy. We met Shohreh about six months ago and were very impressed with her small daycare. The facility is immaculately clean and tidy and Shohreh is a true professional with infant CPR training and certification. Our son is always excited when we drop him off and happy when we pick him up each day. Shohreh goes out of her way to help with our baby's custom meal plan and feeding schedule and she is great about making sure all the kids maintain a regular sleep pattern. My daughter has attended Sunshine Daycare for the past five months and we could not be happier. During that time she has overcome her initial fears to shine at daycare. As an only child, navigating isolation for over a year during the pandemic, it was only natural for my daughter to have a hard time adjusting to daycare again. She would initially cry and refuse to eat or even play with other children. Shohreh is such a knowledgeable professional. She said to me, "I am a mom too, and approach my job thinking about what I would like for my own children." This philosophy is what has made all the difference. Shohreh worked one on one with my daughter to comfort her and make her feel safe and secure. My daughter no longer cries, she enjoys her friends, and eats her food in great company. Sunshin Day Care is the best place for infants and toddlers to grow up, play, and most importantly learn. Shohreh and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly caring. Kids have activities planned throughout the day from reading books, working on learning alphabet/numbers/colors/shapes/etc, drawing, and group activities with so much fun playing with water, making bubbles, and even playing basketball. During this pandemic, Shohreh (business owner) and her staff have worked hard to make sure the kids are safe; they constantly cleaning the daycare, checking kids temperature, providing mask if parents need at the door and implementing policies to make sure our kids are safe. My daugther loves to go there every morning and she enjoys her day to the point she doesn't want to leave when I go to pick her up! She just turned two and she already counts till 15 without mistake in English and also till 10 in another language and that is because of Shohreh and her staff work with them whole day. Shohreh is absolutely wonderful and my daughter is thriving in her care. She treats the children like her own family; she is warm and caring and involved in all aspects of their health and development. She texts pictures throughout the day and updates when there's any question about something my baby needs. Yet even with this amazing personal relationship she runs the facility with a level of professionalism I haven't seen even at the big daycare centers. The facility is immaculate and well-maintained with a dedicated space for the daycare separate from the main residence. She takes hygiene and safety very seriously; even the most germ-conscious parents would be impressed by the level of cleanliness here. There is always soothing and/or engaging music playing, there are established routines for naps and mealtimes, and the space is comfortable and homey. But my very favorite thing about Sunshine Day Care is how happy my daughter is there. Every day when I pick her up I can see her smiling and playing through the window before she sees me. She lights up when Shohreh talks to her and is always happy to go to her. This is the first daycare I've had experience with where I can honestly say I feel completely, unreservedly comfortable leaving my baby in their care. read more
