My fiancé who is an intermediate skier went to buy boots there because of the famous Jack Rafferty…read more Jack pulled a boot that was the same size as my fiancé's rental boots which fit well. Jack then decided there was nothing more to do, not even heating the shell which was supposed to be molded, and sold the boots which DID NOT FIT. He made ZERO effort to fit the boots. The boots ended up cutting off my fiancé's circulation. I was a racer, I know boots should be tight, but they should not make your feet go numb and certainly not for leisure. Fortunately, Aspen sports did the right thing and took the boots back. However, Jack's ego is far too big. He might be a great boot fitter but I guess he decides to whom he wants to be a good fitter. Will never go there again. We should have listened to the ski instructors and ski patrol who do not think highly of Jack. He only cares about his pros. Go elsewhere!

They also gave us advice about the different routes, even though it might have meant us renting from their Aspen store. They told us about the option to do one way rentals to Aspen and leave at their Aspen location, which is what we decided to do! They gave us full disclosure on the fact that there would be a section (about a mile long) that would be uphill and a very curvy and steep downhill by the airport. We all survived and my husband and 9-year old turned theirs in and retrieved them after lunch for more riding. The other two bikes were turned in before shopping! Would highly recommend to all, especially for families!

Plus, the gear I rented looked warped and not maintained (ie boot bindings hanging off).

The rest were tourists looking at merch, but really just hanging out to have a warm drink and to sit somewhere. Nothing fancy, but maybe that's all this place needs to be.

So we shopped a couple times at Aspen X back during a multi day visit to Snowmass in March, 2024…read more My wife ended up purchasing a pair of women's softshell ski pants and we each also got a beautiful merino wool skiing base layer. Overall, prices were a bit on the high side, but the quality of items in the store seemed really good. There was also a nice selection of higher end Aspen branded clothing perfect for souvenirs along with some designer items. Where things really impressed us however is that upon laundering my wife's pants for the first time a few weeks later (once we were sure we were done skiing for the year), a zipper pull failed on them in such a way that one of the side pockets was pretty much rendered impossible to use. I reached out to the store via email and they offered me a full refund upon shipping the pants back to them, no questions asked. Yes, we were disappointed the pants failed, but at the same time I greatly appreciate the fact that they stood by the quality of their clothes this way. In this day and age you often are literally just screwed if something like this happens. You cannot go wrong shopping here.
