The quality of the steak was great and it was cooked to perfection. The only gripe I have is that the steak had very little flavor. We make a pilgrimage to Tanks once or twice a summer when the family rolls in from far flung places like Hotlanta, San Fran, and Boston. Some of us get the ribs: perfectly sauced and tender as can be. Others grab a Reuben: lotsa meat, gorgeously greasy (no - I mean that in a GOOD WAY!) and piled high on marble rye. There are other choices. All are good in a home/bar-cooked way that means they are splendidly toothsome and provide great value for money. Decor is laid-back "dive" - but it's not really not a dive, because it is a friendly business where all are welcome and it is not at all sketchy or sleazy or cheap. Prices are solidly affordable. Drinks are well mixed and the pours are generous (but legal). Love this place!

I'll be surprised if the fire commissioner allows crowds of over 75 in that place. And I say that as a former firefighter, it's not a very big place. It is a cash only bar, which can get annoying because if you don't tip after every order, you'd be ignored the next time you want to order. No elbow room at the bar. The stools are very close together. I could see myself going back there, maybe in the daytime when it's slow, but I definitely wouldn't go on a Friday or Saturday night when everyone is out bar hopping

It's very similar to the flavor of a jalapeño popper (without the bacon, cream cheese, or the heat). They have a modest sized parking lot that is a one-way. We sat at the bar and both had sandwiches. I ordered a burger but subbed out the beef patty for a chicken breast. The chicken breast was seasoned and juicy, but it actually made the American cheese on my sandwich a little too slippery. Better than the alternative, though! I would eat here again, but I might try something different next time. The menu wasn't super large, but they had enough apps, sandwiches, and burgers to choose from.
