First time ever selling gold. I came here because of the good Yelp reviews compared to other gold…read moresellers. It's a jungle out there with gold reviews. I don't venture into Hollywood all that often these days and honestly, the traffic in the area is less than ideal. When I got to the establishment they had heavy duty barred doors that I need to buzz into. Sorta like entering the area from Men In Black 1 with all the security, minus the aliens. Wait? Anyways, the guy I dealt with, likely the owner, was really chill. He gave me more than I thought I would get for a single earring. My wife lost her other earring and we had no need for 1 earring. All in all, if I ever needed to sell gold again I wouldn't even research another place. This is the place I'd go to. In this instance Yelp served me well and guided me to this place and I'd say it's a good place with good value. I did the math for what spot gold was and the price given to me was fairly close to spot gold, given that most places will do 70-90% of spot gold price.

I brought him an 18k gold and diamond necklace I bought for $600 yrs ago from reputable dealer, but he claimed only the clasp was real gold & only gave me $300 for the diamonds. I brought them small jewelry components of silver which they spilled on the floor & didn't include in the weight. I brought them beautiful rings with precious stones and assistant in back room smashed the stones to only include the gold, not the value of the rings. Was much more honest when old owner Dennis was there.

I did not want to go to the route of pawn shops as they generally give low ball offers. Was really in need of an absolute professional to feel confident in selling. I was lucky enough to come upon Revere in my research and saw all the positive feedback. I called and was accommodated with a same day appointment. I have had experiences in the past with locating a proper jeweler to work with when selling and has always felt I came up short with low ball offers or just rushed appraisals. That was not the case at all when I went in for my appointment. Steve was absolutely patient, knowledgeable, thorough, and explained everything so clearly which was very refreshing and helpful. He provided full transparency on the decision when it came to what the offer was he presented to me. I was able to happily sell the bracelet and walk away with a more than fair and appropriate amount. Will definitely be my go to moving forward when next time I have other jewelry to sell. Thank you Steve!
