The market is in the center of everything on Sat. Mornings. There are probably about 20 local vendors here including ones with local jewelry, art, pet products, produce, kettle corn, and jam, and honey to name a few. Afterwards or before hand, stroll the shops and grab some coffee. It makes for a nice chill easy going, easy breezy Saturday Morning!

Parking was easy, free, and conveniently located to all the festivities which is a huge plus. This is also one of the few local markets where I've actually seen a large selection of fresh produce and and farm goods available. It was refreshing to see so many people bring their market bags on wheels, wagons, etc. ready to purchase fresh fruits & veggies and support our local farmers. Beautiful watermelons, tomatoes, papaya, lettuces, corn, peppers, zucchini, and more. There's a good mix of vendors ranging from jewelry and handcrafted goods to food trucks and specialty food items. We got mango coladas, mango flower with tajin, breakfast tacos, and of course, kettle corn. Huge plus that there is the downtown splash pad for all the kids to play right in the middle of all the action. It was a HOT one and this was a great way for my little guy to cool off and burn some energy while we sat and enjoyed our food. If you have kids, I highly suggest they wear their swimsuits and bring some towels to dry off.

Pricing can be a little on the higher side, but I think that has a lot to do with the area. A great place for a Sunday morning stroll to pick up some local produce and things for the week to come Super casual parking can be tough at times, but if you go early enough, you can get in and out before it gets too crowded. I would say out of all the farmers markets I have been to this one seems to get the most crowded around 10 AM.

We considered buying a loaf of bread but decided to pass this time. My son ordered a coconut drink served inside a pineapple, which was a fun experience. The ironic part is that he's mildly allergic to pineapple, so he only drank the coconut water while my husband happily ate the pineapple itself! It gave us a laugh, and I reminded my son that next time it's perfectly okay to ask if the drink can be served another way or to mention his allergy before ordering. Overall, this is a charming little market that fits the character of the town. It's a great place to wander, browse, listen to music, and enjoy the local atmosphere. I don't know how many times I would need to go here but it was a fun stop for us. It was very sunny out so make sure you wear a hat or take a walk by the water where there are trees and benches.

Too bad the town loses a lot of its charm because outsiders bring a bad vibe in.

With its close proximity to the University of Central Florida (UCF), not to mention all the housing developments in the area, this should appeal to a large market, however on the Sunday that I was here, there were a scattering of vendors and only one of the vendors was actually selling produce. Still, it was not bad. Some of the vendors were selling some cool stuff and the crowd was not bad. One enterprising tent had one of the girls playing and singing in the Hope's of bringing people to their tent. I like the concept of a farmers market, a place to purchase local produce and artisan items. I just wish that this particular one had more produce vendors. Perhaps I came on an off day. This place is extremely convenient for me, so I will go back and check it out. To give you an idea where it is in the Waterford Lakes Town Centre, it is between the food area and say the Coopers Hawk restaurant. Parking, as you would imagine in a large market, is not a problem. They are there every Sinday from 11:00 to 4:00.

I love walking around, checking out the booths, and finding new local treasures. One of my absolute musts now is a matcha drink from Honey Nitro + Cold Brew. I had never tried matcha before, but a friend recommended their version with vanilla or lavender, and oh my gosh, it was creamy, smooth, and totally addictive. I seriously didn't know I could love matcha this much! Pappa Thai's summer rolls are another go-to. They're fresh, flavorful, and honestly hit the spot every single time. Light but filling and perfect for walking around with. And I can't forget Proud Pickles, they're such a fun little stand, and I'm absolutely obsessed with their items. Sweet, tangy, spicy, you name it, they've got it. I'm giving 4 stars only because I wish there were a few more vendors but I understand Gainesville is a small town. But honestly, it's still such a lovely experience and totally worth checking out if you're in the area.
