I mentioned it to Linda, who told me I should have come back. After the 90-minute treatment, Angela patiently explained the process and its importance to me. As a man, I was initially hesitant because I don't have a skincare routine, so facials weren't a top priority for me. My skin is quite sensitive, so I was very skeptical when she suggested I start using skincare products. But she understood my situation and created a super simple daily skincare routine for me, requiring only three products. I've been using the Japanese cleanser, toner, and lotion for a week now and have received many compliments--redness has lessened, and my skin is more hydrated. wow.. I cant believe I'm creating a yelp account just to give them a bad review. Bui I have to. My friend I came here to get our gel mani and regular pedi because of their great reviews on yelp. We asked how much they charge before we start, the lady said $40 per person, which is fine. First disappointment : Next day couple of my gel nail chipped. Second disappointed after we're done she charged us $40 (the amount we signed for ) on our credit card per person and we tip her in CASH. She asked if we wanted a copy, but we said no becuase of their great review and the lady seems nice, I dont think she will charge us again after we walk out the door. BUT I WAS SOOO WRONG!!!. Today I check my credit card bill they charged me $48???!!?? WTH ???What kind of place is this??? I will not come back and will not let my friends come here again. Its not the money its the dishonest and service that I'm upset about. read more

Thanks Yelp for the heads up. I'm not too familiar with San Francisco, so when my friend asked me where I wanted to get my mani pedi done, I looked it up on Yelp. My goodness I was blown away!!! I always get the gel (shellac) done and I have never seen a nail salon with that many colors. I kid you NOT, there were over 160 gel colors and they were all great brands: Gelish, OPI, and Shellac. We didn't make an appointment prior to coming so when they said it would be about a 15 minute wait, I didn't mind at all. It actually took me 20 minutes to pick my color and I changed my mind twice. I don't remember her name, but she was very sweet, offered me tea/water and ended my mani+pedi with a warm lotion massage. Prices are very reasonable and most importantly, everything is clean!!! I will make an effort to come back to the city and re-live that experience again. read more

After making an appt in advance and arriving early, we were seated in the chair. They told us one of the massage chairs was broken but sat us there anyway despite other open chairs. I sat for 20m with my feet in a garden bucket with a plastic bag full of water in it waiting for someone to start. My partner got a pedicure as I waited which was one of the worst I've seen. Barely buffed. Nails totally crooked and sharp where the clippers cut the nail. Didn't file or shape. The salon itself is pretty disgusting too. Super dirty, disorganized, and no sense of calm or spa like energy as a nice nail salon would have. Guess you get what you pay for... I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

Hooray for Sunset Nails!!! They just opened down the block from my house and I love, love, love, getting my nails done there. First of all, their prices are totally affordable (mani and pedi for $25). Second, the salon is clean and you can see that all equipment is sanitized or thrown away after every use (no germy whirlpool spas). Third, the friendly ladies do a great job everytime, complete with warm lotion massage, and hot towel wrap. Fourth, they have tons and tons of OPI, Essie, Shellac, and Gelish colors to choose from... unbelievable selection. And last, it's located right next to Starbucks, so I can sip my latte while I get pampered...... =) read more

Heard you really need an appointment. I showed up at 10 am when they open, and ladies were already in the chairs. Regardless, Tina was quick to accommodate me. All guests I saw there seemed to be repeat clients who were happy to be there. Once I sat in that amazing massage chair and saw how many options of gel manicure colors there were, I was stoked! Tina was very friendly, and I really enjoyed chatting with her as she worked my nails. I really enjoyed myself there. The ladies there are efficient and friendly. I got a regular mani pedi here last week for a wedding and it's still on! Looking good! .. I was disappointed with my experience at Sunset Nails. I paid $85 for an acrylic gel refill with a French tip, which ended up costing over $100 with the tip. The white tips on several nails were poorly done, leaving them looking shadowed. I politely mentioned this to the technician, and while she kindly redid them, the result was still unsatisfactory. I spent an hour and a half there, missed my yoga class, and left feeling disappointed with my nails. Even though the nail tech was nice, I don't think the quality was worth the price. read more

If you go to Salon Belle Linda, ask for Tia! I've been coming here for years, and she's seriously…read morethe best. She's a true artist! Just show her a picture of what you want, and she'll make it happen. She's so talented, patient, respectful, and professional. Her attention to detail is amazing, and her prices are very reasonable. My nails last so long, and I always get compliments! I honestly want to gatekeep her, but she deserves the recognition. Love her work! Highly recommend Tia!
