This is the worst salon I have ever been to. I attempted to contact the owner directly to let her know about the way we were treated, but I believe the nail tech gave me false information on how to contact her, so now I have to post here. Here you go, Trinity. I made an appointment for me and my mom to get pedicures (on her birthday, 4/19). We walked in and the female nail tech (there were two other male techs in the salon) looked at us and then looked back down at the toes she was working on and said: "What do you want?" (In the rudest way possible). Honestly, it was so rude. Is this how your treat your customers who are coming in for a relaxing day at a salon? I responded and said we had an appointment, etc etc. and her response to us (again without even looking up at us), "well, go choose your color". I understand if all techs are busy and are working while greeting new customers, but this was no friendly greeting, it was just rude. As we made our way to the back where the nail polish color was located, we started to notice that the floor was dirty and there were boxes piled all over the place in and around the nail polish color. We had to move the boxes ourselves to get a look at all the colors. Once we choose a color, the female tech put our feet in water and then proceeded to tell us that two other nail techs had called out that day and so they were short- handed and would start us soon. Immediately, I thought this was a lie. It's a small salon and the chances of two people calling out on the same day? Seems suspicious.. but we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Because she put our feet in water, I assumed it would be a short wait. As soon as the female tech finished the pedicure she was working on I thought she was going to start on us, but she didn't! She started another lady who asked for a gel manicure. I looked over at both the male techs and they hadn't even begun painting their clients feet/nails- they were in prep mode. This was going to be at least a 20 minute wait for someone to start my mom and at least 30 before someone started me. And did I mention, our feet were in water! You're going to let your customers feet soak in water for 20 minutes without working on them!!?! I immediately cancelled our appointment and decided to leave. The female tech started arguing with us and at the point I decided I wanted to make a complaint. She then started arguing with me about that and I had to demand the contact information for the owner. If I was an owner, I would want to know about the state of my salon and how customers were being treated. She wouldn't give me the owners name and gave me a phone number which I think was either fake, or her own. I left a voice mail for the owner, but never got a call back, so if it was the owner's phone number, they didn't care enough to call back. Red flag. It was my mothers birthday, and all we wanted was a relaxing day getting our nails done. Instead we got an argumentative nail tech who doesn't know anything about customer service. If you have two techs call out, give your customers the courtesy and call them to let them know, or change their appointment. Ladies and gents, just go somewhere else. This place doesn't deserve your money, and it wasn't clean... We suggest World Nails- they took us immediately after we walked out of Sunset Nails. We had a great time because of their customer service and relaxing environment. Clean! read more

I really want to give this place 5 stars, however after my last visit I unfortunately am giving 2 stars. I went in just for a basic fill, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she told me that she's going to have to take off my nails and completely redo them. I know nothing about how the nail process works so I took her advice and allowed her to take off the nails I already had on and start from scratch. I personally don't care for super long nails, but the picture I showed her the nails were long. I ultimately wanted the color and design of the picture not the length, however she talked me into trying the long nails and if I didn't like them I could just come back in and get them shortened. When I tell you that she was talented I'm not lying, she's good at what she does. I was impressed and very happy with the nails. While I was checking out/paying a friend of mine had stopped in and I was distracted by talking to her. I paid and left and when I got home I noticed that she had charged me $110 I was floored. I'm pretty shy so when it comes to confrontation I'm just not that great at it, however I needed to know why I was charged $110. When I called up and explained she started to get really really rude. This is what I was charged for. *Removal of old nails * Fullset * Art (1 finger) * And extra because I went with the long nails. She said "More time, more product. I get that it was going to be a bit more but $110 is insane. I feel like I was swindled and SCAMMED into that because she knew I didn't know any better. She wasn't transparent with me about the extra charge for the removal and the extra charge because I ultimately took HER advice about the long nails. If I had known I was going to be charged extra cause of the length I'd if never taken her advice. Colleen was RUDE and yelled at me to SHUT UP. She wouldn't listen to what I had to say. I told her I felt scammed into all of this. She offered me a $15 credit for my next visit that I unfortunately won't be using because I won't be going back in there. I'm so disappointed because they are all so talented in that place and that is a rare find. Please be careful taking the advice. I later found out that my nails didn't have to be completely redone and that I was indeed taken advantage of!!!!!!!!! So frustrating. I WAS 100% SCAMMED!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

Very clean & sanitary, very professional. Great selection of nail polish colors and services. We were greeted and helped immediately, even though the wait was 15 minutes, they had us sit at the massage pedicure chairs and soak. The foot bath has a plastic protective cover and they use new tools for every person. A deluxe pedicure is on the pricey side ($40) but they had a deal going on. The woman didn't spend a lot of time cleaning my toenails or massage/scrub/hot stone. I felt like she kinda rushed though it. The nail polish job wasn't great, kinda messy. I had her put acrylic nails on my two big toes and they were very sloppily done. Overall, if you're cool with a basic mediocre pedi and aren't picky, this place is tolerable. read more

I was a consistent customer at this particular nail salon. First off, the owner and and husband often engaged in inappropriate conversation regarding race saying how they were judged here in St. George by most of the people living here because of the fact that the owners are an interracial relationship. It was often offensive, and uncomfortable. Secondly, I had to cancel my appointment one day, called to do so, and I was told I couldn't make an appointment for the next day, and hung up on by the brother of the owner. When I do something to pamper myself and relax, I expect professionalism, and a friendly environment that doesn't often leave customers feeling uncomfortable. I am very disappointed in this nail salon. I have decided after being hung up in that was the last straw . They need to treat customers better, and leave the offensive talk outside of their business. I hope the owner can read this, and make some changes. They will lose customers if this continues. I won't go back ever. This is just a sad attempt to run a business. read more

If you're reading this, you're going to want to stick around until the end because it gets that good. I've been seeing Min at sunset nails for almost a year now, I'm extremely particular about who I let do my nails so I only see him. There's a handful of women that work there, but there's one woman that is the youngest of them that will be the star of this review. She's typically the one answering the phones to book appointments. She's extremely brash and uninviting, funny enough is that a new friend of mine had been there before and thought the same thing about the same woman. I would bet every penny I ever make in my life that there are countless others that would agree. The level of unprofessionalism is the highest I've ever seen. Not only is the entire salon dirty, but then they have an actual psychopath answering their phones too. I continued going there due to being so particular about my nails and my particular nail tech being the only one I've found that makes me happy so far. Mind you, I'm easy..... I like black stiletto nails that are symmetrical, but apparently that's A LOT to ask for these days it seems. Anyways.. The last time I got my nails done, I booked an appointment WITH MIN as I always do. This day, they were understaffed, overbooked, and asked if a woman could do my toes. I said sure. She did a pretty good job! But I wasn't satisfied with the shape so I asked if Min could file them for me before I left. He was busy with another customer and so the woman that usually books all the appointments (she's also a nail tech) sat down to file my toes. I could already tell she was doing what I didn't want and so I stopped her before she caused an issue that couldn't be fixed. I told her I preferred for Min to file them for me, that it was nothing against her personally. She was DEEPLY offended and proceeded to throw a fit like a child, mumbling under her breath and walking away....as if I had just done or said something grossly offensive. She walks past me and says "I was just trying to help" with an attitude and I said "I know that and I tried to say it nicely that it isn't YOU it's ME! I made an appointment with MIN so I wanted Min to do my nails....period." She literally ended up leaving the salon because she was that upset..... it was SO AWKWARD. I left after paying and then ended up having to come back 5-10 mins later because one of my nails literally just popped off, the entire thing. Min was no longer there, and neither was the psycho. I told them I wanted Min to come back to fix my nail please or I'd like a refund. He came back to fix it. Fast forward a few weeks... it's time for a fill. I just called and the call isn't going through? I keep calling and it just says it's disconnected? I'm confused. I grab my spouses phone and call, it connects...... that's odd, isn't it? Makes me think.... Min had answered! Thankfully. I made an appointment and then I told him that it's odd that I can no longer call them from my personal cell phone and that maybe it was the psycho that blocked my number from calling the salon anymore. He kinda laughed it off and said really hmm I don't know?! I said well I can't call you from my cell phone anymore so it's just weird. I shrugged it off and figured whatever... dreading my nail appointment tomorrow now! Not 2 minutes later, I get a call back!...from the psycho herself. She tells me I'm not welcome back to the salon again. I'm genuinely confused how I've been loyal customer for almost a year, and simply because I didn't want her to file my nails when my appointment was with someone else, I'm now no longer welcome to the salon? You're the most unprofessional person I've ever met. Please seek help! For anyone wanting to hear the phone call for yourself, I recorded almost the whole conversation when she called my phone back. I have been trying to find a nail salon in the St George area for years. This is one of the few places open on a Sunday and I needed to get an acrylic fill. The last place I went to while they did a decent job, rushed through the process. The people at Sunset Nails and Spa were very kind to me and the gentleman who did my nails was able to perfectly recreate the picture I brought into them. The only reasons I gave 4 stars over 5 is because of the price. The FILL cost me 50 dollars. That was a steep price for a fill and I can typically get away with a full set for that price. "Don't judge the book by its cover" Not a fancy looking shop. This store provides exceptional service and are all very friendly! Best time to go is during the week. The staff has more time to spend with each customer. I went in to have a facial wax and deluxe pedicure. My guy did a great job taking care to treat my bad calluses and dry skin. He does an awesome massage. Last time I was in after my pedicure was done I had to wait about 10 minutes for the wax station. Sent that 10 minutes being treated to a free neck massage. Amazing stress relief, followed by a thorough facial wax for the cost of upper lip and eyebrows. This is my place. Don't go anywhere else! read more

My nail technician was very rough and very fast. I had asked for my "dipped nails" to be filled. As he filed down the dipped part he would file my cuticles and the sides of my fingers with the electric file. It was so painful . If I complained somehow it was my fault. Also as he shaped my nail he would shape them lopsided. When I asked him to fix them he would then hand file the nail and the sides of my fingers and the shape still looked terrible. The sides of my fingers were so raw by the end. I had 2 finger tips get infected due to the lack of skin on the ends and sides of my fingers. I will never return to this establishment read more

Oh boy. What an awful experience.....twice. Both times I've had a manicure with dipped nails, then gel nails. The dipped looked horrific as if it was the manicurist's first time. Second experience, I felt I was a chore that needed to be swept away. My manicurist never looked or spoke to me, (it was clear she was a manager or owner, trying to manage while doing my nails.) My friend, who was getting her mani at the same time, was finished almost 15 minutes after I was. My friend commented in front of her manicurist on the lack of quality. Luckily he saw the half-assed job and helped finish it off. In the end, my nails looked okay. But then, a week later my gel-nails started to peel off!!! This floored me! Scheduled a pedicure while I was visiting Saint George and was beyond disappointed. I asked for The Classic pedicure at $32. The entire pedicure lasted seventeen minutes. I get pedicures at least once a month and have never experienced anything like this. There was no soap in the bowl, no massage, no lotion. I left with dry skin hanging from my toes and lumpy, uneven polish. They were friendly, but did not wear gloves and the place isn't clean. Hope this isn't the norm in Saint George. read more

I had a mani-pedi at the newly remodeled shop this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ownership has recently changed and they've give the salon a total facelift. The shop is clean and the staff is super friendly. My pedi was done by Calvin and nails by his wife (I apologize I don't remember her name.) Both did a great job and I'm very happy with the color they chose for me (rose pink No. 60.) I would highly recommend Sunset Nails (previously Nails Inc.) two doors from the UPS store. I went here a week ago. The actual service was exactly what you would expect from a salon at this price point. The customer service on the other hand was ATROCIOUS. And when we complained (our gel nails chippped the next day) one of their customers actually THREATENED us. The manager sat there the whole time smirking and watching the tv behind our heads. I've been using this nail salon since they opened. They do a decent job, but I always pay a price for it! They constantly injure me. I wasn't there ten minutes yesterday before my finger was bleeding. I'm still healing cuts under the edge of my nails from two weeks ago. They use the files like heavy duty saws. Since they reuse files, I worry about getting AIDS from the blood of other injured clients. It's just not very sanitary and the salon is very dirty. When I pulled back after being hurt, I mentioned that I had arthritis in my fingers and they were very painful. The nail tech blamed me for the injury! I won't be going back. read more

so i went in yesterday got my jails done by a guy that had tattoos, my right thumb nail had broke off so i needed that replaced, it didnt got get replaced, my left thumb that he filled has very thick spots on the sides that he did not file down at all. he was doing the manicure very fast and at points during my manicure he kept looking up and got the side of my finger with the drill not once but TWICE! painful! so both of my thumb nails are now very noticeabley different lengths and the gel polish on my left middle finger bubble at the end and now has chipped off completely leaving a large hole. All of my nails are not the same shape nor length, they are wavey and not a smooth shape. The manager has been contacted and we were told that we would be getting a refund for the pedicure. We still haven't received this refund and would like this to be fixed. We just called and asked about the refund again and she just started yelling at me on the phone. Worst place ever!!!! read more
