I was put on safe, level appropriate (and extremely nice!) horses and I have never been remotely uncomfortable. I take 2 lessons a week and they have done a wonderful job of getting me back in riding shape both physically and mentally. My daughter was riding twice a week and loving the barn, new friends and the two ponies she was riding. The trainer started pressuring me right away to lease a horse and I wasn't interested until she had at least six months of lessons. They bought in a pony and wanted me to see it...it was really old and overweight...I really couldn't believe it!!! They asked me for THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS a year to lease this horrible looking pony....I actually did laugh as it was so ridiculous...A half lease anywhere costs 250.00 a month at ANY barn. I have been an equestrian for thirty years...they just didn't know it. We arrived at our next lesson and a seventeen hand horse that was way to advanced for a beginner was given to my daughter...I questioned what was going on and was coldly told that the ponies would not be available any further to us as we did not want to lease!!!! My daughter was in the very small arena and they bought in an out of control horse that was bucking and rearing to lunge...with my nine year old in the ring just ten feet away....I entered quickly and took my daughter down and left Kinvarra for good. It was the most dangerous , negligent ...on purpose bunch of crap I have ever seen at a barn. These people are con artists and if they don't get what they want they will put your child in danger.

Started out with Bonnie...great trainer who helps the students stay focused and serious during their lesson. Her patience with the younger riders is spot on. She's so supportive of her students and has taught our daughter a ton. The summer camps she leads are tons of fun and a great learning experience for the riders. As of lately our daughter has also been training with Carmine as well. She really is such a skilled trainer and her demeanor is so professional and focused and supportive. What I love about Carmine's approach is at the end of each lesson she spends 5 minutes talking with us about our daughters lesson...why she did well...and what can be worked on. You can tell Carmine takes great pride in teaching the riders. We absolutely love this place. Great horses and trainers with a strong focus on safety in a friendly family like environment for your equestrian to ride!!!!

Home to birds and animals, millipedes abound. People are quite few, the land is kind of boring, but hey, it's nature. The highway nearby is easily heard inside, that's kind of a shame. I wish there were more unpaved paths and tree cover. Fall is still lovely. Thanks for a nice walk. Who knows if we will be back. And now my poem ends.

Cindi and her staff closely monitor each horse for soundness, wellness, and nutrition, and boarders are a friendly community looking out for the welfare of other boarders' horses. Horses are turned out daily except in severe weather. Cindi is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and actively involved in the welfare of each horse. I have boarded horses for over 40 years. Frontenac Farm is by far the best.

Ever since I've been riding with Ashley I love it, I think Ashley is an amazing trainer,…read moreunfortunately, the first Barn I rode at with her I had to stop because I had really bad anxiety but the one thing I loved was how patient she was with me even those days when I couldn't ride the horse because of my anxiety. which I think makes for a fantastic trainer because not every trainer has patience like that. then about a year later I picked up riding again with her and I'm still riding to this day. I love her because of how she gives you writing techniques and she puts you on the perfect horse, no matter if you're just picking up riding or you're beginning that even nicer thing I love about her and not every trainer does is you can choose between English or western whatever you feel most comfortable with. Like some lessons with her I read Western and the next one I ride English which I think is just amazing, another thing is no matter what you want to learn she can do it no matter if you want to do jumping or more Western! And I love that she lets you do most of the work, like tacking up and brushing your horse Instead of the trainer doing it which I think is fantastic and she's also right there if you need help but I've been riding for quite a while so I kind of mastered up tacking up by myself, but I think no matter if you're jumping back into riding or if you're a beginner I would go with her. and $50 an hour is like perfect because out of that lesson, you learn so much I'm not even kidding If you go to her Barn in West Chicago it's more of an open Farm so you mostly ride outside but there's different areas to ride in so it kind of makes it more fun instead of riding in the same area.

My grandfather purchased a lesson card with her, and we finished that one. We proceeded to purchase another one. I was strictly English and doing jumps, etc. one day for my lesson, she put me on a skiddish western horse. I had no idea what I was doing. I only walked. That was my "lesson". She proceeded to up and leave the barn I bought my lesson card at, so I contacted her about getting my money back. She blamed Covid-19 as to why she couldn't refund. I kept asking for my money, she said she could finish out the lesson card where she's at, but no refund. I said no and will keep trying for refund. I purchased a horse, and she got in contact with me and told me she had two more refunds to fulfill before refunding mine. She posted on her page that she got a trailer, I messaged her saying why can she buy a trailer but not refund me? She said one of her clients bought it for her. That is not true, she bought it herself. Months pass, nothing. She proceeded to block me on everything, and still haven't seen my money. Horrible person, horrible business. Save your time and money.
