The summer of 2017 marks my third year at Hawks Landing and I couldn't be happier!! I have had three horses in my time here which have not only been sound and pulp, but advanced greatly in their training. One of my horses in particular, Oz, had terrible stifle and neurological problems, but Randy, my trainer, helped bring him back to health and develop a training program to keep him fit and comfortable. Randy not only understands horses, but riders too. Three years ago, I came to Hawks Landing to train and compete under Randy in the Junior Hunters, but he understood I wanted more than to just win ribbons. He gave me the opportunities needed to learn how to train horses ranging from jumpers to hunters to green babies, I also learned how to honestly sell horses to the correct rider, and Randy gave me insight into barn management. Overall, Hawks Landing is a simple barn with spacious stalls, many pastures, large arenas, and has the best show team I have ever been on. If I have one negative about Hawks Landing, it would be that I can't pack up the whole barn each fall and move it with me to college in Nebraska. read more
