Not where anyone wants to be but if you are ask for Monica beautiful person

Well with everything going on in this world why not be prepared. I had the pleasure of working with Monica she is a sweetheart. She is well informed on all aspects of your needs. She was very helpful to myself in concerns for my parents. Thank God I still have them but my father has been very good in making sure none of his kids have to deal with any arrangements when the time comes. I know this too shall pass but never can be too prepared. I truly thank Sunset for all their assistance all employees so helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Photo of company website.

After a year and a half there is still no plaque on my mother-in-law's resting place. When asked, there was no explanation as to what could have happened or how this was overlooked-Just a rude and defensive counselor saying there was nothing he could do about it. If you have a loved one there and you live out of town, have someone check on your loved one to ensure this company does what is promised. Follow-through is obviously NOT a priority. The counselor (Pete) that we spoke to was rude and not empathetic to our feelings and concern. The exact opposite of a what counselor should be. Customer service was terrible with the exception of the sweet girl at the front desk. Irony...see photo from their website.

Trying to keep up

A MONTH ago I contacted this funeral home with time to spare making arrangements. We are flying family in from all over the country and now we are down to crunch time and I'm being avoided when I call. We started with over 2 months to spare I sat and made plans and wanted to add to the original plan... My 1st visit went fine. Although the guy entered the wrong cc number. He never called! I just happened to have called him! The plans the family made were simple but the sales man was not friendly, not helpful, only a bad sales technique. I had to run to keep up with the guy showing me the pavilion and the his sales speak. There is a plaque that has been ordered for well over 2 1/2 weeks and I can't get a receipt or anyone to return my call with a delivery GUESS for an eta even. The 1st visit I was told I could arrange a memorial the family has planned. While I was there I was told I could NOT have just a plaque and I HAD to leave my brothers ashes with SAUL to be placed at an unknown time and date during the week because he didn't want the workers to have overtime. Seriously? Why can I get a simple receipt? Why must I leave my brother with the funeral home period?! Why can't you return a call? Why can't I get an update on an eta of a plaque placed? If these were not my brother's wishes I'd be going elsewhere. I wanted to add to this review. The lack of concern is frightening! Still not even a reply to an email. After we went ahead and had the memorial at this cemetery we've had flowers returned because of this blunder! I'm writing to share my thoughts and my feelings on the services Sunset provided our family. Disappointed are the very nicest words I can find. I will not ever recommend the SERVICE you provide. In all actuality, you shouldn't even claim compassion. Right from the beginning, you treated my family as 2-bit low life. You had no idea the people that were to attend but I can assure you they are familiar to many. I assume because we were not interested in your cookie cutter services that things did not matter. You should consider remove Ing the statement you claim to not everyone is the same and we have the ability to plan to our liking. I was treated as a dumb old lady getting her car fixed at a gangster's chop shop on my 1st visit to make arrangements. And it only slightly got better on 2 phone calls and I sincerely believe it was due to the yelp review that I removed once you promised to make mistakes right. It took a week or more to even get a call back AFTER paying in full. Our family made a decision that you said you would correct only to be told 3 different prices for the same service. Our request never changed. We never asked for discounts or tried the haggle. We simply asked for a pavilion rental and a plaque. You then posted again the WRONG name on the plaque and not even a table for use in the pavilion. We ourselves had to mark out a live persons name and write in my deceased brothers name in front of 50 people! We had guests turn and leave at the front gate because the "party" name was not the name of my brother. When I called the office you felt it easier to call and blow up my phone during our ceremony than to quickly come bring the things wed paid for. You were put on silent. So you then try to show up 30 mins well into our memorial service with tables and water. Warm water! Keep your table! How disrespectful can you be?

My maternal great-grandparents. "Edith" came through my Sweep app four times in rapid succession.

I HIGHLY recommend Funeral Caring USA…read more We have used Funeral Caring's services twice. Both were for relatives in another state. We could not have asked for more professionalism and support during these trying times. My husband and I, afterwards, set up pre-need services for ourselves to ease the burden on our children when the time comes. We were able to sit down and plan out OUR wishes and needs, 12 plus years ahead of time (and counting), when emotions are not running high and time pressures are on... Another bonus, the price is covered with their pre-paid program, no matter how much time goes by. Other friends and family have also taken advantage of their pre-need services to reduce the stress on their loved ones on our recommendation. It does give you peace of mind.

We met with Richard at the Bandera location, and he was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. After notifying them of our mothers passing, we spoke with Nancy Powell, who was our funeral director. From the point of notification, every conversation with her was full of rudeness, a lack of empathy and compassion and lies. She takes no accountability for her actions and when I confronted her on some lies she told, it was just shrugs and an "Oh well", and crossed arms. She didn't even have the courtesy of showing up to our mom's funeral, not that I wanted her there. I've already made it very clear to Nancy that she is an unlikable person. I dont know how or why she interacts with the public when she makes it clear that she doesn't like people or her job. If she is assigned to your funeral, I would strongly recommend going to another company

He passed at 6 years of age and we took him his favorite flowers and the cars he liked. These cars were the size of a matchbox. We placed a bouquet of yellow and blue flowers and we had to zip tie them together because we didn't want them to fly away. We went today and they took all his cars and for some stupid reason they took all his yellow flowers and left his blue flowers. They cut the zip ties and threw the zip ties on his grave. They discarded everything with absolutely no care. It was already a devastating loss in our lives and for them to treat my grandsons graveside like trash is ridiculous and utterly disgusting. We were planning on removing everything this Friday the 6th because they posted the next flower pick up was scheduled for March 10th through the 12th. They jumped the gun and they should have had the decency to wait a few more days and this disgusting gesture would've never happened. Very dissaapointed and sad. He was highly responsive and flexible with all of our requests and kept us updated throughout. I can't say enough about the quality of work he provided us. The ceremony was beautiful, and overall we felt like our loved one was honored considering the short amount of time that everything was completed. They took care of the slideshow that was shown during the service, they also took care of the playlist of songs, and they took care of the programs that were handed out. Norma was also helpful in making sure the food was stocked and displayed along with ensuring our guests needs were taken care of. The bathrooms were clean, the whole building seemed to be clean, and it didn't seem like that detail was overlooked which was highly appreciated after viewing other funeral homes. The lighting was good, and we felt like the staff was good overall as well. There was also a private family room attached to the main service room if anyone needed a break or wanted to use it for a kids room. This place was full service from what I could tell. The only part that I wasn't extremely satisfied with was towards the very end where it felt like we were a little rushed out. We did book for an extra hour to ensure this didn't happen, but things happen and we understand that part wasn't understood my some of the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone based on the services provided that we received.

My father was cremated and a Veteran whos remains were buried at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Mr. Bass was my initial point of contact and was very caring and kind as he assisted with my pre-need arrangement plan for my Father, who was 94 years of age. While speaking to Mr. Bass, I realized that I too would have to cross this bridge so it was best to start my own pre-need. When the time came to use my Father's pre-need arrangement plan, shortly after acquiring it, my family was met with the kindest, most caring person we could have asked for: Kassi Quintanilla. She welcomed my family, on the day of his death, with patience and understanding of this tragic event although it we knew the time would arrive. Kassi, followed the procedures dotting all i's and crossing all t's. She worked with the cemetery to ensuring my Dad would have the honors he deserved and followed up almost daily to check on me and my needs. From the very beginning, I knew that the Lord had sent this angel (Kassi) to watch over me while I navigated this difficult process. Picking up my Dad's ashes was truly a tough task but the staff was there to support me. Most of my Family have been buried with the services of Meadowlawn over the course of many years. But I have never had the level of care during any of our processes as I have had with Kassi and I am so appreciative. Even after the services, Kassi followed up just to say she was thinking of me and my family and wanted to wish us well. Well done "Meadowlawn" for seeing in Kassi Quintanilla, a gift that will continue to give me sweet memories for a lifetime. Kassi, Mr. Bass and the young lady to escorted me to the car for my Dad's final ride with me, Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and may God keep you, Always
