Wait, what?! I can't give more than 5 stars? Being a…read moreveteran of 13 (yes, thirteen) root canals, I can't believe I just had one. Best experience ever- and who says THAT after a root canal? Totally worth the drive from Huntington Beach ~ Dr Bethers did an amazing job; from local anesthesia that targeted just the right area, to re-treating a 20 year old failed root canal, then explained (drawing on a post it note) the aspects of treatment (and reasons for them) that might be necessary in future. So very glad to have been referred here (by my equally awesome dentist(s) Dr Chase & Jeff Williams of Cedar City. KUDOS all around ~ PS - go in knowing that although they require partial payment on day of service, they WILL bill insurance for you, don't be put off by this, you will be directly reimbursed And the quality of care is totally worth it-

I was referred to Dr. Hunter Housley @ this practice, & was pleasantly surprised during the consultation -- he's calm, very reassuring & knowledgeable. He talked me through what my options were (not great), & then when I agreed to go through w/the procedure, he carefully explained what to expect. My root canals were scheduled 4 days later...& again, I was imagining some horrific, awful experience...which never, ever materialized. It was such a non-event! Granted, having your mouth open for an hour isn't a picnic. But it was totally painless & manageable; nothing like I had imagined. Even better, there was zero pain afterward; none. Dr. H had advised me to take 600 MG of Ibuprofen for any soreness of my gums; I took 400 MG, thinking that I'd be in pain after the numbing wore off...but there was absolutely none. And...the next day, I was biting into my favorite Cosmic Crisp apple; yay! Dr. Housley is terrific at his job; I would highly recommend his care to ANYone needing a similar procedure. Plus, his staff is lovely, cheerful & professional (they called to check up on me the next biz day)...AND they took proactive steps to get the necessary pre-authorization from my insurance carrier to ensure coverage, which was amazing. All in all, this was the most unexpectedly pleasant root canal (IS there such a thing?) I could have wanted. Hoping I'll never need another one...but if so, I won't have nightmares about it. Thank you, Dr. H & Desert Endodontics! You all rock.

I went to Plumb dental a bit back for the reason it advertised as a affordable solution for my…read moredental needs. My first visit was for some urgent care. I had some X-ray done on my teeth and it showed I had an abscessed tooth which I already knew. After numbing me up real good the so called dentist pulled the wrong tooth and was going to send me on my way. After communicating with him the mistake he was going to put me off for a couple of weeks. I was desperate and wasn't going for it so the so called dentist (Workman) agreed to pull the correct one (excruciating pain) so all was well except I guess the loss of a perfectly good tooth. (Sarcasm) So I figured they would make it right in the follow up visit. Well the follow up visit was just a consultation+ they wanted a $1000.00 retainer I guess you would call it. I still had in mind affordable/ not! Come to find out it was a $50,000 job they wanted to do. I told them that wasn't going to happen and they re- worked there figures and came up with $30,000. I was going to go ahead until I did some homework and found out they were way overcharging for what they were going to do. When I tried to back out they kept my $1000 and good tooth they pulled. I feel I should get a refund and the lose of a perfectly good tooth. I am considering legal action and would just hope they would do what is right and refund my $1000 + $500 or so for the lose of my good tooth and and the money they charged me for mistakenly pulling it. Warning! Don't trust your teeth or your pocket book with this so called affordable dental practice.

My wife and son had gone to them a year before and they were in network. When I called to see what had happened I was told that they no longer accepted that insurance, but when I asked why I wasn't told that when I went in the response was "yeah we should have checked that. Sorry for the inconvenience." As I continued to try and see if there was something we could do due to the mistake on their end all I ever got in response was "sorry for the mistake." Very unhelpful and unprofessional.

My previous dental history: I have had straight and healthy teeth. Some grinding wear due to bruxism (I have had since childhood, but wear a mouth soft guard to prevent damage at night, and I have worn it since adolesence). I have always seen a dentist 1-2 times a year since childhood for preventative care. When I was a child and teen I had 3 cavities, which have been filled, but other than that, an otherwise healthy dental history. No wisdom teeth present, etc. No pain or issues. My Review of my visit: Pros -the office staff were friendly and professional. The office was clean and welcoming. Dr. Julie Buchanan was friendly. Cons - was told by Dr. Buchanan that I needed full veneers. Was told that I should have all of my previous fillings taken out and replaced, because they were "old and may fall out sometime". The quote was thousands $$$$$$. I have never had another dentist request that I receive veneers and replace of all my fillings. They have always told me my teeth were healthy. They asked when I wanted to set up a time to do that. I did not set that up and did not come back. After my appointment with Dr. Buchanan I received 2nd opinions. I was told none of those procedures would be necessary. I continue to see a dentist 1-2 times per year for regular preventative care. Fast forward 6-8 years. I did not get veneers and did not replacing my old fillings. No pain and I am healthy. Fillings are still there and causing zero issues. I am told I have healthy and straight teeth. Felt like I was being sold something $$$$ I didn't need.
