I went in for a root canal. I was told the cost and then half way through I was told that it was too far gone to get a root canal and that we would have to do something else. Because I was not comfortable making an uninformed dental choice without someone to talk to me about cost and options while my mouth was propped open I asked to talk it over with my mother. He then told me that because we had waited so long for my mother to arrive he would no longer be able to extract the tooth. But he still charged me the same amount as he would have for the root canal. My parents and another friend of ours all had similar problems with the other dentist saying that there was a tooth that would have to be taken out. When they went to other dentists they were told it was fine and not as bad as he had said. In general their practices make me think that they get you in for emergency work only to force you to make an immediate decision so that you will have to come back for followup work.

This is the most unprofessional dental office I have ever been to…read more Dr Kimbrough diagnosed a tooth as needing an extraction.. I had a root canal with his dad 3 yrs ago on this tooth. I understand some root canals fail and you lose the tooth but this is not the case .I received a second opinion and DDS said that there is nothing wrong with this tooth it needs a buildup and crown .which I thought I had when I had the initial treatment with Kimbrough Sr. I was referred out to another DDS and they did not send xrays. I called to expedite the xrays as my appt was about to start and was met with such rude and unprofessional behavior Dana /Abby threatened to withhold said xray because she said that I owed them a bill that I NEVER recieved . Wow. I have paid this office over 2k for one tooth in the past . I was hurt and saddened that I was treated like this.. Dr Donathon's lack of concern and incompetence is astounding !! He couldn't help, so I called DrNick Yiannios and he solved the problem . Dr Nick has done a lot of research on this type of problem and co authored papers with physicians . He has a u-tube channel to view some cases of his, view the map of countries where people come from to get help. Your chances of getting a solution are high, he really likes a challenge.
