One had a decent amount of brown from the start and when questioned, the owner said it would eventually bloom its green color. He said if it doesn't, that he would replace it. Well, I wish that was the case as the owner never returned phone calls and in the rare opportunity he did, he would lie. During one of those times, he shared that the salt from the winter roads probably contributed to it's fate. When I said, "Well, it's the second one in from the road, how would it not effect the other tree?" He joked that "it's like people, some die and some don't." ......I'm still not laughing. When I left a clearly upsetting voicemail, it took over a week for him to TEXT my husband that it has been a busy couple of weeks due to the delays the rainy weather has caused for his other jobs. In the same text, he said he would be over to replace it the next day. Never showed up. Never called. I bet you can guess how that ended up. Yes, I still have a dead ficus aligning my driveway. We are very understanding people that understand things happen. BUT, as a business you need to COMMUNICATE. DO NOT blatantly lie and tell us it will get done on a specific day when you don't show up or even have the decency to call. His truck had also passed our house more than ONCE this week for his other job. If you want alive trees, great customer service, and all-around reliability, look elsewhere. Can you tell which one is the dead one? I know it's tough- good luck.

We got the stone pillars pictures after he showed us some in his displays on the wonderful property where AWG is located. So many beautiful fountains plus a large selection of Koi and water plants. He enticed us further by showing us a fire feature that was and option with the fountain we got. We did the install on our own and he was incredible with walking us through it step by step. He was there when we had small or big questions and was so friendly. He takes the time to leave his customers satisfied and happy which is the hallmark of a great businessman. If you're looking for a place to visit to see the splendor he has set up or to get a fountain I cannot say enough about this place and it's owner.

Coming from Southern California with a culinary background, I'll admit my expectations can sometimes be modest when dining outside well-known food scenes. Elizabeth's Farmhouse didn't just exceed them--it blew them away. My wife and I arrived in Putnam looking for a quick bite and found this charming, approximately 50-seat restaurant with no wait. I ordered an Oktoberfest from a local brewery, while my wife chose an Old Fashioned. She ordered the Farmhouse Meatloaf Wrap, I chose the burger, and we shared the German Onion Soup. The German Onion Soup was outstanding. The onions were caramelized to a beautiful deep amber, with rich umami, subtle garlic and shallot, and a wonderfully developed beef broth. The crostini, topped with perfectly melted Gruyère, brought everything together. Every component was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. Then came the burger--and this was no ordinary burger. Cooked to a flawless medium-rare, it featured thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon, crispy red onions, aged sharp white cheddar, ancho chili barbecue sauce, and a perfectly seasoned Niman Ranch all-beef patty on a soft brioche bun. Every bite delivered an incredible balance of smoky, savory, sweet, and spicy flavors. Nothing overpowered anything else. Without question, this was one of the best burgers I've ever had. My wife's Farmhouse Meatloaf Wrap was equally impressive, featuring tender meatloaf, creamy mashed potatoes, aged white cheddar, and house-made chipotle mayonnaise. Rich, hearty comfort food elevated through thoughtful preparation and excellent execution. Even the fresh-cut fries deserve recognition. Cooked beautifully and served with house-made ketchup that reminded me of an Italian nonna's homemade marinara. When even the simplest condiment receives that much attention, you know you're dining somewhere special. By the end of our meal, both plates were completely clean. As someone with a culinary background, I appreciate the difference between food that is simply prepared and food crafted with genuine passion. Elizabeth's Farmhouse is a shining example of the latter. To the chef and everyone behind the scenes: your passion for food does not go unnoticed. You've created something truly special in Putnam, Connecticut. I rarely write restaurant reviews, but this experience absolutely deserved one. Five stars, without hesitation. The interior is cozy and tight; but very cute and nice. Like its name; it's like a farmhouse decor. The outside architecture is all black and it may look closed but it is the restaurant :) ! A good restaurant to try out !!!
