It was July 4th weekend, so all campgrounds in the area were full. Check-in online states 4 pm and checkout is 2 pm. We checked in with the camp host first, and bought a bundle of logs for $6. Then we headed over to our campsite and set up camp. Our site was right next to the lake boat launch area so it was nice to walk over there and enjoy the waters. There are women/men pit toilets. They were pretty clean and didn't smell bad, I even thought they smelled liked cinnamon apple when we got there lol. But then it got stinky as the weekend went on from the usage. Overall, I would come back and camp here again. It has awesome views of South Sister and Mt Batchelor!

First tee starter was helpful and gave us tips since it was our first time. Played with 2 locals. Course maintenance: all areas were very well maintained, tee boxes, fairways, greens. Layout: fun and engaging with a variety of different length holes- par 5's were challenging, so were par 3's. Loved the tree lined fairways except when I hit into them. lol. Best part- pace of play advice from starter 2:06 for 9 holes! Marshall came by 2-3 x each nine and thanked our group for keeping up. Ended up playing in 4 flat with every tee time booked on a Sunday. Solid recommendation.

I think that the city probably stocks the pond - it was very cute to see kids successfully fishing before the wedding. Because of the amazingly beautiful weather, we were able to have the actual ceremony outside on the shores of the lake - however, even if it had been rainy it would have been lovely to have the wedding indoors in the delightful space. It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Aspen Hall was built specifically for weddings. It is a hall that would seat about 150 people fairly comfortably. It has an industrial kitchen and is surrounded on one side by a spacious porch with plenty of tables for sitting, mingling, and hangin'. There was plenty of parking for a smallish wedding but for a larger wedding you might want to consider alternatives. I highly recommend this space to anyone looking for event/wedding space in Bend.

A fitness center, swimming center, playground, and a tennis court. The squirrels here are absurdly fat, clearly living luxurious in Bend. This is one of the nicest parks in Bend. It's simple, welcoming, and just feels good to be in. Five out of five stars!

I was impressed by the number of grass sports fields and facilities and was particularly pleased that it included a large off-leash dog park. At this location there is also a BMX park, playground and a few covered areas for picnics. It is a couple miles from restaurants and other businesses, so make sure you bring everything you need with you. I didn't see any seasonal or permanent concession stands, so you definitely need to plan ahead.

Such a fun splash pad!…read more Tons of parking on Friday 7/5 at 1:10pm. But 95% of the spots aren't shaded. Real flushing bathrooms, water fountains available. Our kiddos (aged 3.5 to 6.5) loved the splash pad. We let them use our tupperware from our picnic to catch the water or cover the spigots, and they loved doing that. Most of the kids playing in the water ended up being temporary friends. Besides the splash pad, there is also a music section (with a xylophone) and some fancy swings. All very sun-exposed. There are several grass areas in the shade. There's also a shaded picnic table area, about 6 picnic tables.
