We followed all the recommendations for our dog with tests upon tests upon tests and treatments for his lyme disease for 3 years. At the age of 11 we questioned if it was necessary to put him through another round of antibiotics, (6 pills a day), and were told that they wanted his numbers to be lower so we continued with the treatment. When it came right down to needing her when our dog was in distress, the Vet stated, "well, it doesn't seem like an emergency". Gordie had lost the function in his back legs and we didn't know why. She advised to give him more anti-inflammatories and see how that works. We spent the next several hours trying to keep him calm and hoping that he would improve. That didn't happen and we ultimately had to put him down. If the Vet would of had any compassion for our dog she would of advised that we could bring him in and given him a moment of her time. We now have the last moments of his life burned in our minds as horrific images that with any morsel of compassion could of spared our dog from the pain and misery as well as what we had to do that evening. After 5 days had passed, we received a call from the receptionist at the clinic to see how he was doing. We had to go through it all over again on the phone with a total stranger. She asked if we had taken him to an emergency Vet to be seen, we advised that we were not going to allow him to suffer any longer and had to put him down. There was no call from the Vet or a Vet tech to check on him, we really thought that they had his best interests in mind, that couldn't be any farther from the truth! We do not recommend or have any good feelings for the Vets at the Huron Veterinary Clinic, through it all neither of them had a moment for Gordie when he needed them the most. And it is very clear from any follow up from a Veterinarian that he was just a dollar sign at the end of the day.

Our dogs appear happy to see her and her staff. I believe you will be hard pressed to find more reasonable prices, and in my opinion, you can't beat their service. During Covid times, staff comes out to your car to grab your pet. I don't believe customers are allowed inside the building. Rogers city and the surrounding communities should consider themselves very fortunate to have Huron veterinary clinic in their area. And so, I am excited to have introduced yelp to this business, and happy to be their first Yelp review :-)

The vet took a few minutes out to go do some research and came back with a plan for Lexie. She was careful to explain that she didn't want to override our vet's treatment for Lexie, and provided us with printed info on the new med that we could take back for a discussion with our SC vet. The entire staff was kind, friendly, and efficient. Altogether we spent an hour with the doc and our bill was surprisingly low. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and professional. They took great care of us and it was obvious that they care about animals.

Unfortunately, we needed to return at then end of the summer as our dog suddenly took a sharp turn towards the worse. Options were presented to us with grace, empathy and detail. Every person who came in contact with us at the clinic was caring for us and our dog. We needed to put our dog to rest and as everyone knows this is a difficult choice and of the utmost grief. However every step of the way, the empathy, professionalism and compassion of this staff was always present. it was as though they were part of our dogs family throughout her life, and they were going through the same grief and pain. Thank you to everyone at the clinic. You are all special people, and I would recommend anyone to this clinic as they truly care about you and your pet.

Underdtandably, services changed a bit. However, Covid isn't the issue any longer. It is the take over of the clinics by the "high dollar rollers". These folks now run the show and if you are not among the rich and famous, your pet is going to suffer greatly. Monetarily, I am not flush for funds, sorry about that, but should my pet now suffer the ravages of this deep pocket atmosphere? Maybe we can develope a Medicaid club for pets? If there is anyone out there who may add funds to a pet's care, let us know. Ray, is suffering and this vet has turned a deaf ear to his needs until I come up with at least $995 - $1200 for possible care. Yes, I've offered even $250 to examine his prolapse, no luck here though. Yes, the June 21, 2024 review says it all now. Hope these employees sleep well while the world of animals joins the failing compassion of our health care systems, both human and animals included. The Burgei Family of Roscommon

You Are In GOOD HANDS with this Veterinary Clinic!!!…read more For seven years my Golden Retriever has had terrible scabbing and skin conditions in the Summertime. Two other Veterinarians kept prescribing Prednisone and immune system booster shots, I've been told "It's from Swimming, Food allergies, deficient immune system etc etc etc" My Mechanic told me of Roscommon Veterinary Clinc. He said they were the most through Vet he had been to. Ruger had his worst year this year and I was beside myself seeking answers for my Best Friend. The Doc took Scab samples and found a secondary skin infection. Then prescribed an Antibiotic and Apequil with a medicated shampoo. Two days later my Dog was a Happy Camper again and Fur is growing back in nicely just in time for Winter. I highly recommend you brings your Best Friend to this Veterinarian! Steve Moser

Anyway we came in to the vet due to her not feeling well the past 2 days, she had an incident with a dog where she had gotten bit in her lower abdomen. She told me she had an abscess that it was not that much of a concern. She took her temp and she was at 106 Wich is life threatening. She took no immediate action to help her. I also told her that she hasn't ate or drank anything in the past two days and they did nothing. No Ivs to renourish her nothing. She was clearly dehydrated due to the heat this week. But they didn't care. All they wanted is money they took exrays of her and a catogram I believe (scan of the lungs). I heard nova crying in the room with them as they were laughing. She came back with a little blood it looked like on a towel they had drained a little bit of the fluid in the abscess to see what it was. But all that did was make it bigger. They prescribed antibiotics for me to take home. They never said that she was in immediate danger. She died in my arms that night, there was nothing I could do I tried giving her CPR for a half an hour. The nearest vet was an hour and a half away and I was too late. I went In the next day obviously furious, the receptionist brought out the practice manager whatever that is. She brought me to a back room away from clients so they wouldn't know how poor of a job they did. I told told her everything that transpired the day prior. And told her that the doc had failed her. She proceeded to say and argue with me that it was not their fault and it wasn't their problem. " She could of died from something else, not related to the injury" No I'm pretty sure I knew if my cat was healthy or not before the incident you dumb fuck. She then proceeded to say you know this how "because of your vet degree" No sympathy at all for nova or accountability PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY AND THATS IT. PEOPLE ARE USELESS
