The children's play area is fairly well maintained. I can imagine my future children playing here!

3 1/2 Stars Sunrise Park has more to offer than just tennis courts. It has a baseball/softball field with bleachers, basketball courts, a full size soccer field with lighting, a children's playground complete with numerous apparatus and a number of park benches, picnic tables and barbeques too. Lots of grass everywhere and decently maintained and green. It is a fairly large park compared to the dozen or so other parks in the City of Rohnert Park. I like to ride my bike around the perimeter of the park and sometimes inside it too. Sunrise is just a few blocks from my house, so it is very convenient. Last year one of my massage trade buddies set up a massage spot for us on the lawn, near some trees, and she gave me a wonderful therapeutic massage at Sunrise Park. Nice, huh? True that the tennis courts and other parts of the park are in some relative state of disrepair. But then so are the city streets and many other city services due to lack of money. No city in any state is exempt from budget challenges and having to cut costs in Parks & Recreation is usually first. I'm just glad I have a nearby park to go to . . . and to enjoy! Review 0101

Sunrise Park Tennis Courts
Alex M.

There are 4 public tennis courts at this location. The have lights. See attached picture for buttons to turn them on. As of summer 2009 I don't recommend these courts at all. The surface is cracked and the ball can bounce funny. I guess the only benefit to these courts is that they're rarely used (likely because they're in such bad shape), so you can get a match in, if all other courts in the area are taken at the moment.

Pickleball clinics are awesome! People are so nice and welcoming to beginners! Everyone is allowed to play at all levels.

We just celebrated our mom's 95th birthday party for 70 guests. We live out of the country so we…read morereally needed a venue that could take care of everything for us. Annabel and her team did just that. The place is beautiful ( we did it outdoors). They even provided a golf cart to help transport our senior guests from the parking lot to the site. Our mom wanted a specific hawaiian menu and the chef did a magnificent job interpreting her wishes. Needless to say, the food was delicious and plentiful. We went for the wine and beer package ; a wide selection of very good quality and abundant. Even the lemonade was a hit. The set up, as well as the linen, chairs, china etc were top notch. Last but not least, the staff was helpful, friendly, clean cut and very professional. Even the manager came out to congratulate the birthday girl and gave her a leí which gave it a personal touch. After reviewing several venues and caterers, the price was competitive. All in all, it made our lives easier, exceed our expectations and our guests loved it. Highly recommended.

From inquiry to the end of the event we received nothing but high quality, friendly, and professional service. Annabel, Chris, Peyton, and everyone we interacted with were incredibly helpful and we felt like we were in the best hands. Working with this team made a challenging time feel a bit easier and allowed us to really celebrate our loved one. We started with a website inquiry and were able to take a tour shortly after. The event space has lots of windows that look over the golf course. They provide tables, chairs, linens, outdoor space, a lovely built in bar, memorial table, and a water, tea, and lemonade beverage station. We hosted a group of around 100 and fit very comfortably. They were able to set up a stage with podium and microphone. They also had 2 tvs that we were able to display a slideshow on. Prior to the event we were able to set up a food tasting and loved every dish we tried. During the event we received endless compliments of how lovely the space, food, and staff were. We would highly recommend the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club for any event.

Alrighty, I have read a lot of the reviews and understand a lot of where everyone is coming from…read morewith the not so pleasant members. This being said everyone has something different they are expecting/needing out of this facility. For me: I'm generally really happy with my experience. I haven't had an unpleasant experience staff. At all. I was actually sitting out in the lobby last week and over heard a conversation of a staff member who went far out of her way to get a walk in person a tour. Maybe it was luck that she managed to make it happen but she did. I'm a single mom. I run my own business and I can't really afford child care right now. Having a toddler is a lot when you don't have a lot of people in your corner for support. Being able to have two hours of child care while I do self care in peace is huge for me and if that looks like me sipping the complimentary coffee while I sit on the couch and think of thoughtful words to write this then that's what it is. It's also me taking a shower and getting to call client's back after my workout before I go full force into mom mode. Yes the obstacles are little annoying, like having to try and get pool reservations or paying a dollar for my cup if I forget one ( I never do. I actually always have a back up cup in my car so maybe everyone should do that. Idk I'm a coffee connoisseur, I never have an excuse to not have a cup of coffee) I enjoy running outside so I didn't mind the remodel of cardio and my workout is mostly Pilates self train so I don't have any issues with not enough weights or classes filling up or whatever else may be a problem for others. I don't use the lap pool so I don't run into any issues with the temperature. Shout out to the childcare staff during the week days. They see my daughter the most and she loves them and I love them. Thank you for being here for us!!! The only reason I didn't do a 5 star: First: Bathrooms really need updating. For the price you pay here and the image are creating one of the most sanitary and visual aesthetics places is I look at is a bathroom/locker room. Sub par for sure. I really Hope next remodel is this area. Second: The start up fees are outrageous. The only reason I followed through with doing This gym is because of location it's the closest gym that has childcare available unfortunately. It's kind of frustrating you have to schedule childcare, my other gym did not require that but it is what it is. I make it work. You can't have it all right?

The locker rooms are riddled with lockers that don't lock. The water fountains don't work. The bathroom sinks have no hot water and such low water pressure you can't even wash your hands. Things never get fixed. Treadmills down for several months. Saunas and steam rooms down for months at a time. Complaints are ineffective and downright useless. Hot tubs always have murky cloudy water. The floor surfaces in the men's locker room are extremely slippery, and conducive to falls and broken bones. The bench in the men's Handicap shower is literally falling out of the wall and needs to be propped up with another bench to keep from slamming down and shattering a knee cap. If you dare to sit on it, it could easily fall out of the wall causing a broken back or spinal injury. The steam room is ripe, dirty, and NEVER hot enough. And they keep raising the rates If you're thinking of joining, forget it. Things are bad and just keep getting worse. Working out is supposed to be energizing and uplifting. Instead, I usually leave angrily because this place is so poorly managed. I hope they change for the better soon, but probably will not happen.
