Very good (small) Chinese takeout in Stoughton. I've only tried a couple of things here so far, so I'll need to try more in order to give a solid 5 stars. But everything I've tried has been excellent. The kitchen is very clean, and the food is fresh. I just ordered the beef and broccoli chow foon with oyster sauce (chow foon with broccoli? why not?!!). It's delicious, and the beef is lean, but in proper chunks (not shaved!), and the broccoli is crispy and perfectly cooked. Fresh wide Cantonese chow foon noodles--and it's enormous (enough for 2 meals, for $13 including tax? Wow!)
On my first visit, the spring rolls were perfectly crispy, without dripping in grease. Also, the hot and sour soup was NOT inundated with corn starch (a common problem...) and had plenty of tofu, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and (essential for real hot and sour soup) tied lily flowers to add to the sour from the vinegar. I also tried their rangoons, which were very good (included small pieces of chive--a nice touch) and again, were not greasy. This is really good American Chinese food, and I will be interested to try some of the more Chinese items on their menu, such as their dumplings. If they're homemade jiao with good quality filling and thin wrappers, I'll up this review to 5 stars! read more
