Kristin and the entire Alice team made the process feel so easy and fun. Kristin especially was unbelievable throughout the entire experience. I would randomly come into town and ask to stop by the venue, and she always welcomed us with open arms. We walked the property countless times discussing layouts and ideas, and she was endlessly patient, helpful, and genuinely excited for us no matter how many times things changed. The venue itself is stunning. The grounds are beautiful, the getting ready spaces are gorgeous, and the entire property feels private and intimate while still having so much room to make the space your own. Since it's such an open-concept venue, it truly allows couples to customize every part of the experience. We used the tree area for cocktail hour, transitioned our ceremony space for special dances, then to the waterfall deck area for dinner, and later in the night the tree became our go to bar right by the dance floor which we put on the lawn beside it. We'd never seen or been to an open-concept wedding but it exceeded expectations. Another difference of The Alice are the cottages. Having our closest family and friends all together from Thursday through Sunday completely transformed the wedding weekend into something so much more meaningful. Guests bonded by the pool, gathered around the fire pit every morning and night - it honestly felt like adult summer camp in the best possible way. Kelly was also incredible throughout the entire weekend. She made everyone feel so welcomed and taken care of, and guests kept telling us how much they loved her. Even outside of the wedding weekend itself, the team went above and beyond. Kristin allowed us to take engagement photos on the property, and Kelly once gave us a full private cottage tour during an unexpected visit just because she was excited to show us around. By the end of this process, we truly felt like family instead of clients. Chef Franco and Nicki came to our vacation rental last night and cooked dinner for 15 of us. They made everything perfect. From menu selection to the day of the party, it was all easy and perfect. Chef Franco showed up on time and brought everything he could possibly need. We picked out a gulf shrimp appetizer, followed by crab cakes. When I tell you these were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten.... I am craving them right now !!! We also had sautéed crab claws, which were plentiful and delicious. At that point, we were all full, but went on to have a Caesar salad, which again was perfection. Throughout this whole eating frenzy, we delighted in watching chef cook every part of the meal. He is not only a phenomenal chef, but so knowledgeable about the area and other parts of Florida. It made for a great dinner conversation. The main course consisted of filet mignon, and a grilled lobster tail. Accompaniments included green beans, and a homemade Mac and cheese. Just watching him make the mac & cheese, the entire room was salivating. Every aspect of the meal was beyond delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection to everyone's personal liking. Finally, we barely had enough room for dessert, but managed to get it down. Dessert was a bourbon bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Again, this was exquisite. I am a bread, pudding, fan, and some may even say, an aficionado, and I can say this was among the best !!!
