I've had two really bad customer service experiences here.
Once I prepaid cash for gas and the attendant got angry and passive aggressive for some reason. I asked if there was something wrong. She said "I handed her the money in a disrespectful way." What? I literally put the money on the counter and that's it.
Today I went in and read a sign that masks are mandatory. When I get to the checkout, the cashier isn't wearing a mask or face shield and there is no plexiglass divider. I ask if he has a mask and he says "no I have a doctor's note." He then told me "you're not supposed to ask people if they have mask's, we have protocols."
Giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he was truthful about the doctor's note, he could still wear a face shield or have a divider between him and the customer. And to suggest I shouldn't ask people to wear a mask indoors is completely against current wisdom. read more
