I…read moretalked to Mike and he said that instead of putting my car on the rack to check the tires, which would cost money, I should instead just put some air in the tires and check the pressure. I gave him money for the air pump and he had one of his guys check the pressure for me. He explained that I had too much air in the tires and that may have been the problem all along but that if my sensors went off again I should bring it back. He was so helpful and saved me money, which he easily could have taken from me. Instead he was very honest and helpful so if I ever need to have my car serviced, I will definitely bring it there.

It is on a busy intersection so be very careful getting into the gas station and leaving. The intersection is known for accidents. I did not go inside to the clerk but it was a clean on the outside as one gas station can get. They do have a Mobil Service Station in case your car is in need of servicing. Overall if I am in the area and my car is in need for gas. I will pop in and let my car have a drink.

My claim is not that the quality of the fuel is bad, but that the fuel that I selelcted was not the fuel that was in the resevoir at the pumping station. If you reviewed your records, then you would see that I have ALWAYS selelcted 93 grade and on July 8th my vehicle became disabled because DIESEL was in my tank. My repair shop reported DIESEL in the tank. NOT 93. Therefore the 93 grade resevoir at the BP Station located at 871 Melrose had DIESEL fuel in it. This situation has irreperably destroyed my feelings about BP as an Organization overall. Instead of you recognizing the error and making your custiomer whole, BP as an Organization overall has taken the position that I knowingly purchased DIESEL Fuel and ruined my new vehicle. BP has taken the position that the customer and the repair shop are wrong and that is a disgrace. I am looking foreward to this matter being escalated to a higher level where the details of my claim are seriously reviewed and I am FULLY REIMBURSED for my purchase of the Deisel as well as the cost of the repair. Please be aware that BP has now lost yet another customer as I know that this is NOT the first time that BP has had this situation occur. I will never purchase anything from any BP station anywhere in the world ever again. Furthermore, I will be sure shed light on the mistreatment of myself as well as other former BP customers as it relates to BP the Organization stealing from and causing damage to customers property. I can't believe how cheap it was the last couple times I went here. I was shocked and delighted to find this Speedway station which has probably the cheapest gas prices imaginable in New York City. It was just 2.79 when everything else was well over $3. It was the same price as New Jersey and cheaper than Buffalo Binghamton Scranton you name it. Pretty remarkable really. I didn't have any problems getting gas and I'm surprised it wasn't more busy than it was. Pretty close to all the sexy areas of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, not far from Flushing and Ridgewood and Sunnyside and Astoria.

The trash cans overflowed and the grounds were littered with crap from other people's car washing and the state of their hoses was disgusting. Using them would most likely put dirt INTO your car. He did not want to put those dirty hoses in his car So we left. We drove around until we passed by Amoco and noticed the car wash area. When we arrived an Amoco employee was servicing the Car Wash. [Probably spot maintenance] We checked the hoses and they were in good condition. They are $1 and only take quarters. The vaccuum was quite strong and runs for about 3 minutes. The lot was clean and the trash cans weren't overflowing. I recommend his location for self service car washing I spent about 90 mins cleaning the interior of the car.

The machines function well and the overall station is clean and well lit. The staff is usually friendly, if you must pay with cash, but if paying by card you don't really need them. The configuration of the entrances make entering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time. It is tucked away into a circular, often desolate, drive that leads to an intersection between St Nicholas Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. However, since it is in a corner, this should not be a huge issue. It is rarely full, in my experience, but the wait time is little to none during the late afternoon/early evening times. However, this may be due to the location. Overall, I am glad that this station is here for my, and the community's, use.

Three days ago, when I stopped by to get gas, I scanned BJ's card and selected regular, but I noticed that the pump was charging me for premium gas. I tried to get the attendant(in his glass room) to help solve the problem or at least explain what was going on. He stared at me several times and then just turned his face away. I stopped pumping and went over to him to ask why I was being charged for premium instead of what I selected, and why there was no paper in the pump (as usual). He was extremely rude and adversarial, yelling from inside his booth that I should file a complaint with management. When I asked him--again--why the pumps NEVER have paper, he told me to look up the management's number and speak to them myself. He even refused to give me his name. I will not be giving them any more business. Even though the price is a bit lower, the operation and customer service are horrible.

Also, people who pay cash park at a pump, go to the attendant to give him money, walk back to the pump, gas up, then walk back to the attendant to get their change, the walk back to their car. Another cause of long lines. There should be cash only and credit/debit card only pumps.
