When I walked up to the door I could already smell what ever was coming out of the bathroom. Condiments on the sandwich perfectly spread and the correct amount. The time from order to inception was perfect. The coffee and coffee bar in perfect condition. Very orderly and clean. You come to Stringer's, because of the name, the guarantee they are open and super gas prices. That said, it's a nifty little shop: 4 pumps, a little bar and sort of an antiquated system of paying for gas with a card, by first handing card, then signing a receipt! It's kind of old-Western COOL! It's a narrow shop; but pleasant and always open. Minutes later, we saw an employee driving it in from the road. When we asked why someone was taking our car off the lot, the manager became defensive and actually yelled at us. Later, a second manager admitted the employee had taken our car to run a personal errand to Home Depot, which is completely unacceptable. They tried offering a free oil change, but we refused and got a refund. The second manager tried to justify saying it was an "honest mistake" and that they do this all the time and showed no remorse. I was pretty shocked at some of the reviews because I have had a totally different experience. I typically go here for gas because in the Woodbridge area outside of Costco or Sams it is definitely the cheapest (if you pay cash) and I have never had an issue with the "quality" of the gas. The worst is the drivers who do NOT follow the arrows because they cannot wait 5 minute for a pump on their side of the car. I have gone ALL hours of the day and ALL days of the week and am always met with a friendly face and had positive exchanges. I have an old VW that had had the check engine light on for years, took it to the dealership/other garages, just poured money into it and the issue was never solved. Randomly took it to to Coastal. Singh (I think) provided transportation for me since there isn't really a waiting area and I don't live that far and whatever magic they did the issue was fixed and I thought for a great price compared to what I had paid to try to get it fixed in the past. The light came on one time shortly after took it back he gave me some advice and has not happened since (been a couple years now). Having this experience I have recommended the Coastal because it is not initially the place I would think to go. Have taken the cars there for inspection and emissions as well. Issue starts when you turn the old trusty dusty VW so I take it in. Same staff assists me with transportation, gives me an estimate, and fixes the front axles same day (shows me them so I know there was a legit need even though I knew there was a need), and it was about $500 cheaper than another estimate I received. I have driven the car long distances since and it feels like I am driving a younger car again! I have been nothing but impressed (and that can be challenging for me) with both the garage side and gas side.
