My wife had THE WORST experience. My 36th birthday party at SPI with family and friends had been planned for months. My wife drove from Weslaco to McAllen on Friday afternoon hours before we are scheduled to leave to SPI for my birthday weekend. She paid for spray tan only for the machine not to work. She left and said she would return at 6pm. Before she drove back to McAllen for a 2nd time, she called to confirm the machine was now operational. Receptionist relayed message that everything was good to go. So my wife drove once again to McAllen for a 2nd time that day in traffic only to arrive and no spray tanning adhesive shoes available!!!! Anyone who spray tans knows without the adhesive shoes your feet will be orange for weeks! She kindly gathered her things and left. DO NOT TAN AT THIS BUSINESS! They didn't even offer her a refund. I'd recommend skipping the Mystic Spray Tan here and going somewhere that has technicians that do a custom spray tan. I followed all the instructions exactly as they were given to me and ended up with a splotchy tan, especially on my stomach. First off, I was misled to believe that the Medium shade would even out my paler stomach with my already tan arms. It was the biggest concern I had, but the person working here assured me it would even out, no problem. It, of course, did not. I still have a fairly pale stomach (Medium was clearly not dark enough, even though that's what was recommended to me), and I still have tan lines on my upper chest. What's worse, the spray did not come out evenly on my stomach. I have a tan/orange line down my chest, then big patches of untouched pale skin on my upper stomach and splotches of tan/orange on my lower stomach. Again, I followed all instructions while in the booth and afterward. I didn't sweat after, and I had shaved and exfoliated before with no creams or lotions. I'm overall very disappointed in the Mystic Spray Tan. Go somewhere with custom spray technicians or buy a cream and do it yourself. read more

I have been here several times and it reminds me of my tanning place back in California. The staff is always nice and friendly, I have not had a bad experience yet. They have tons of rooms so there is no wait. They also have several bed types and sunless tanning available. The thing I appreciate the most is their specials, they do offer the monthly tanning membership but I don't tan that often. I have bought a week of tanning and then later a month of tanning, all at reasonable prices. read more

I've been here at random times, a couple of times in the past few (?) years. Service is always superb, always an abundant quantity of quality products, and I don't have to plan ahead to make an appointment. I have never had to wait. YEA! Reason for the 4-stars? They used to have an awesome european sunless tanning system. It changed my normally pale skin a beautiful brownish bronze color. Today, they provide a mystic tan system. It's fine, but does not leave me nearly as lucsiously dark. As far as price, it's not any less expensive or more expensive than other places I have tried. Favorite tanning salon in the rgv! They always have great specials and post lots of deals on their Instagram (sunnybunztan). Staff is always super friendly and very helpful. I always visit whenever I'm going out of town or have a special occasion coming up. I usually do the spray tan and use the Mystic Tan Booster before and the Hempz lotion after to prolong my color and hydrate my skin. Love love love the Hempz lotion original scent! read more

Ive always wanted to try the tanning beds since Ive had bad experiences with spray tanning. Im super white and don't tan easily. My skin just gets red. So I decided to give this a try. I had a great experience the first time and the worker was so friendly and so nice that I couldn't wait to go back.
