Made inquiry on Yelp for carpet steam cleaning, and this company contacted us almost immediately and were able to schedule a cleaner within a day or two. Cleaner called an hour before arrival, reviewed the site and discussed the price. Initial steam cleaning for the living room/dining room and hallway was one price. Additional shampoo, sanitizing, deodorizing, etc treatment was an additional price. We agreed to have everything done. Cleaner brought up his equipment and finished the project in less than two hours. Happy with results of our clean, almost like new carpet. Two days after drying, we noticed stains we hadn't seen before or during the cleaning process. Called back, sent photos and they said rescheduled within the week for a return. Midweek they called with a definite return trip. Cleaner re-cleaned the area. Very satisfied with the results! Saved us a lot of time!

Getting a time and date that could work for my schedule was easy as they make themselves available quickly and even offer weekend visits. The site visit was scheduled and they followed up with me a few hours before confirming that they'd arrive a few minutes early and to check if that was ok. Yes, not late- but EARLY. A pretty rare experience for any service provider. The actual testing was thorough and easy. From a visual inspection and moisture testing tool to the high-tech inspection tool that sees moisture and heat through walls all the way to the air sampling Tal was efficient and explanatory. He specifically sampled each area that we were concerned about and was done in about 25 minutes. I was told that lab results and analysis could take a few days and we were all set. In only two days I got the official report back and confirmed I understood the analysis with an email exchange with Tal. It was great to learn everything was completely safe and no abnormal mold was present! Overall NYMS was an excellent experience and highly recommended. To save a little bit take advantage of the Yelp deal they have offered too!

The renovation and tiling done at that time was excellent. Here I am 16 years later with the shower wall's grout, tub caulking and window sill sealant in such bad shape I never wanted guests! My friend recommended Eugene, a master of this sought after skill. The work he did was precise and the results are excellent. He did more sealant near my kitchen faucet as well. Making the appointment was very easy and Eugene arrived right on time. He works alone and is so concentrated on the task. A few days later, the grout behind kitchen faucet cracked and he was back in a flash. He also took the time to check on the whole project. Also suggested a simple squeegee to use after showering to prevent soap build up. I have showed my neighbors his work and sent his credentials to our building management team and co-op board. As the other reviewers state, he really is a tile savant. The work effort and knowledge can't be beat. My cost was $1480, totally on point with other providers in our building who did poor work. Every single penny was worth it! His work is a game changer!

They caught things in the kitchen that I would've never thought to document for the claim and explained the process in a way that actually made sense. There were multiple moments where I probably would've accepted less from insurance if they hadn't stepped in. The kitchen now looks better than it did before the damage happened, but honestly the biggest value was having people who knew how to navigate both the restoration side and the insurance side at the same time. That combination is rare. Most companies either know construction or know claims. NYTDR seemed to understand both equally well, which made the entire process way smoother than I expected.

I am not writing about the experience I had had with Anton as a whole. My complaint is with the…read morePublic Adjuster Larry M. As an adjuster he gets you the money from the insurance company that will cover your losses. But as a person of relaying information to you from the insurance company, he is a disaster . Had a fit in the Kitchen in Jan. 1021. Has a lot of smoke damage in which most of the contents of the house were emptied into a pod in the driveway. The pod needed a permit in which it was Larry's job as a Public Adjuster to advise the home owner to apply for a permit with the town. Larry M. did not do this. Blamed everyone for not acquiring the permit. Subsaquintly I was issued a summons on the pod which I fortunately had dismissed. The real resulting problem came right after this. I had to start repairing and replacing damaged items from the fire. With most of my belongings in the pod, it would have been a simple task. Had to replace carpeting with hard wood floors and to paint the entire house. The Insurance company adjuster told Larry M. that, because there were no permits issued on the pod, that the contents either had to be removed and placed into storage, or removed and placed into two rooms of my house. That is not how this wend down. I was told by Larry M. I had to get permits for the work to be completed on the house, which is a big lie, because there was no structural damage, and no plumbing or electrical work. Larry M. also stated to me that the contents had to be placed back into the house. I had no choice with the information relayed to me by Larry M. but to put the contents back into the 2 rooms. NEVER let Larry M. relay information to you. Get it directly from the horses mouth. This cost me months in which I could not start repairs. Now the contents has to be taken out by a contracted mover and placed into storage. The insurance company knows the truth as to what transpired and is paying for the removal and storage while the repairs are being done. Pictures of wall to wall boxes and furniture should be visible. I DO NOT recommend Larry M. to anyone attempting to hire a public adjuster from Anton Adjusting.

Brian walked us through our policy and explained to us in details what is covered and how to approach the insurance company. We discovered that we were under insured and to rebuild our restaurant, we need double what our policy would pay out. Fortunately, with Brian's help, we managed to squeeze an additional 50% more from insurance; which reduces the amount by thousands of dollars to rebuild! Brian also offered to help analyze the insurance coverage for our other stores so we will not be caught under insured again - for Free. What great service!! They restored the old floors beautifully and achieved an excellent match with the existing wood flooring. Despite mixed flooring, they did an excellent job making the floor feel seamless and intentional throughout the apartment. Everyone I worked with was patient and professional throughout the process. Melissa was incredibly helpful with all of the co-op paperwork, which I especially appreciated since this was my first co-op renovation. Angelo was on time for the estimate and helped me work through different options and narrow down the right LVT samples. Dave was outstanding from early talks to managing the day-to-day work - he was communicative, responsive, and always willing to answer questions. He also helped select a stain that blended beautifully with the existing floors. All of the work crews were punctual, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Throughout the project, everyone at Spagnoli was incredibly accommodating and always took the time to address questions and concerns, making the renovation process much less stressful. We needed our area rug cleaned due to stains and water damage. Our rug is very very large (31x17ft!) and I wasn't sure who to contact. I found Sunlight online and called Haim to make an appointment for him to review the rug to give us a quote. He arrived at our apartment when he said he was going to and explained the cleaning process and pricing. Although the price was more than we had anticipated spending I trusted Haim's assessment of our rug and thought they would do a good job. They took the rug that day and started the cleaning process. Due to the size of the rug it took over a week to complete. Haim was very responsive and kept me updated, even sending pictures of the progress. Overall I was very impressed with Haim and Sunlight. He was knowledgeable and open about the cleaning process and any limitations they might have in cleaning it. They showed up when they said they would. Haim was available via phone and text. He explained everything really well and produced an outcome that we were very happy with. Our rug is very clean and the stains are significantly lighter. Haim re-upholstered two sofas and a chair for me. Working with him was fantastic and the results are phenomenal. I met with Haim in advance at my apartment and we discussed the scope of work. He was very detail-oriented, paid close attention to the stitching and design to make the pieces to my exact specification. He was also very easy to work with regarding modifications I wanted to make to the pieces such as changing the cushioning design to make it more modern, changing from feather to foam, and offering honest advice on the design, fabric, cushioning, and stain protection. Haim was very responsive and accommodating throughout the process and delivered the furniture back in a very timely manner. The furniture looks brand new, actually it's even better than when it was originally purchased. I felt his price was fair and reasonable, especially considering all the detail work he put into the pieces. I highly recommend the services of Sunlight. I had canvassed around to have my shag carpet cleaned and decided to contract their services (last August) because they were the easiest to deal with, were professional from the onset, reasonably priced, and used pet and environmental-friendly products. Haim showed me the condition of my shag carpet, explained why steaming alone will not do the job and what process they will do to clean it, which I appreciated because I like to know what I'm paying for and why. I'm happy to say that they did a good job cleaning my shag carpet and that they delivered it within a reasonable time. In addition, after my carpet was delivered, I messaged Haim weeks later to ask his advise on how to maintain my carpet, and he was kind enough to provide recommendations. As I started a project to paint my apartment, it occurred to me that my aging and somewhat damaged oriental rugs were in dire need of sprucing up. Based on reviews in Yelp of various companies, I chose to call Sunlight. Haim came very quickly and suggested both repair and cleaning. He picked up the five carpets immediately so that there was no risk of their being damaged while the painting was ongoing. And this morning -- five weeks later -- he returned them just hours after the painters left (he stored them after they were cleaned and repaired so that they would not be in the way during painting). The colors are vivid again, the fringes are repaired and the side binding has never looked better. Haim is pleasant to work with, accommodating of schedules and does quality work. Honestly, I don't think words can do Haim and his company justice - this is by far the best business, rug cleaning and customer service you will EVER get. My rugs come back looking new (and they are oriental rugs!). The rugs looks so good in fact that the rest of my family is thinking of transporting their rugs to NYC to have them cleaned by Sunlight. You can truly see the difference and it lasts! Haim treats every customer like they are first priority and explains everything; you can really see his experience/knowledge which is unlike any other. Sunlight Fine Rug Care did an excellent job not only cleaning my regular and oriental rugs, but also restoring a beautiful antique handwoven tapestry Kilim rug that had been damaged because of a moth infestation. When Haim came to inspect my rugs and saw the moth damage, he recommended that all my rugs should be cleaned and moth proofed to make sure that no moth eggs or lava remained. I was devastated by some of the damage, but he assured me that his artisans who do the oriental rug restoration would be able to make the repairs to the Kilim. The restoration result was excellent, as was the cleaning of all eight rugs which ranged from antique oriental rugs to regular tufted area rugs. We used Sunlight to clean our two good Oriental rugs as well as our wall to wall carpets, two sofas and an armchair. Haim and his staff are very personable and refreshingly reliable and we were quite happy with the work. The rug underpads that Haim recommended were significantly better quality as well as cheaper than the thin, flimsy underpads we had been sold by the previous rug cleaner, one that is well known in NYC, but has recently disappointed us greatly. I had water damage from the apartment above me. I called Sunlight on the recommendation of a friend who did work for her as well. They came quickly. My rugs were soaked and a mess. He gave us a very reasonable estimate, which was lower than other estimates. So we hired him. He then proceeded to do much more work than required and charged us much, much more than he had promised. I recently contacted Sunlight Fine Rugcare and Restoration as a client which I have working with had rugs from a couple different homes which needed to be cleaned. The level of service offered throughout the process was excellent. Haim and his team went over and beyond to ensure we were more than satisfied customers. They were wonderful. A day after I called, they came to my home to give me a free estimate. My kilim rug needed cleaning and repairing. They were able to take the rug right away. The repairs and cleaning resulted in a like-new vibrant rug. I actually called them based on an Angie's list rating. I am so glad I did! Sunlight did an amazing job at cleaning, repairing and restoring my nearly 100 year old Kerman Persian rug. The rug had not been cleaned in at least 60 years and besides the normal dirt from all those years of use had pet urine stains throughout. We are thrilled with how the rug came out - the colors are vibrant, the texture supple, and it looks like the valuable antique rug that it is. I highly recommend Sunlight. read more

Haim and the rest of the folks at Sunlight breathed new life into my rugs! As well as honest about the state of my rugs- my big rug was discolored by the sun from its years in my previous apartment. They said that they could do their best but it wouldn't be perfect. And there was no pressure when I chose not to move forward with that rug. (plus they got rid of it for me- which was a huge relief.) Then I got back the rug I had them clean- this little oriental number that has been in my mom's family since who knows when (but that was probably the last time it was cleaned in any way that didn't involve a carpet beater or a broom.) My mom and I were shocked at the colors it turned out were in the rug. My only regret? That I didn't take a "before" photo.

Men who came for rug pick up were great with the furniture during removal, studied the stains, gave us a return time, and carefully rolled up rug.We made a call to check status 1 week later. Plans were made for return. Entire rug nicely cleaned, fringe is beautiful, and only worst spot of staining on rug, which works into pattern, remains.
