The process of picking lenses was easy. The young lady I worked with, her name was Jessica. She was so pleasant and so kind. My lenses were done within an hour. I went into cohens last week for my glasses and I was greeted by a very sweet high energy pretty young girl named Erika, she took so much time with me. Not once did she get overwhelmed or upset that I was taking so much time deciding what frames to purchase. Long story short I spent $1600 on glasses and absolutely love them. Erika took her time and also picked out the best looking frames that suit me. I get so many compliments on them. I will forever look for her when I need glasses. I live an hour away! On the United Healthcare website, LensCrafters and one of the doctors from this practice are listed as in-network. I proceeded to book my appointment on the LensCrafters website and arrived on time. The LensCrafters staff directed me to the office where the doctor conducted my eye exam and contact lens fitting. The entire process was smooth. However, upon reaching the front desk to pay my deductible, I was informed that my insurance was not in-network. This was surprising, as before my appointment, the guys that I checked in with had asked if I had any questions and I asked is United Healthcare Vision accepted and he said yes. I presented him with a printout of my insurance policy, which clearly stated that contact lens fitting was covered for in-network providers. Despite this, the staff refused to bill my insurance, claiming that it did not cover contact lens fitting. Consequently, I had to pay for the service myself, even though my policy explicitly states that it covers contact lens fitting for in-network providers. I strongly advise against visiting this provider. They need to update the portal on the United Healthcare website and remove this provider if it's not in network, although it says it is.
