Thankfully my girlfriend and I found Michael at Lahaina Sunglass Company. We where greeted immediately with Aloha and given the professional quick run down on the store and products. Great selection. Fantastic advise. I told Michael how I was looking for some wrap arounds. He put me onto the Maui Jim's Local Kine's in matte black and green blue lens. Absolutely perfect combo. Never have I owned a pair of shades so light that fit so good. Doesn't even feel like I am wearing glasses when they're on. The polarized lens cuts right through the water glare. My gal got herself another set of Maui Jim's Baby Beaches. She tried on several other pairs. She has a narrow head so it's hard to find wraps that don't stick out far from her temples. After deciding on the baby beaches michael was super cool to help adjust her nose pads and arms to fit her perfectly. Both pairs of shades came with the new foldable boxes that are clutch to throw in my pocket with the cloth. No more "crunching" my shades! Thank you Michael and Lahaina Sunglass Company!

Everyone in that location was beyond nice.. While I was vacationing, I purchased a purse, a wallet and sunglasses. It was more affordable than back in California as the low tax rate made a big difference. Will definitely revisit when I'm back on the island.

But the coffee shops and shave ice spots? Can't get enough of those! And happy hours :) It's open air, so be aware of that weather wise. I also love getting henna here. One cool perk is that the henna spot offers 50% off a refresh the day before you head home. There are plenty of touristy shops to pick up souvenirs for family and friends. My husband likes their Travis Mathew because you can find hawaii theme stuff. The ABC Store here is pretty big so it can also get really busy (crowded) ... you might have better luck checking out an ABC of the other locations nearby. But it's also a quick place to get parking verified, if needed. All the restaurants will do it, and henna shops too! Overall, a clean place to walk around, snack, shop a little (or not!), and just enjoy being in Maui.

I stepped into Lahaina Sunglass Boutique and told Stephanie what I was looking for. She showed me a few sunglass style and lens options, and while I was deciding, she was able to help another couple choose a new pair as well. To my surprise, Stephanie told me it was possible that my new sunglasses would arrive in store before I flew back home the following week! I wasn't optimistic but took her cell phone number just in case! Before I left, Stephanie offered me a choice of a Maui Jim hat or tee shirt! Nice! Six days later, got a text from Stephanie that my glasses had arrived! I was able to enjoy my last three days with perfect vision Maui Jim sunglasses! Thank you Stephanie for the great customer service and expertise!

I wanted to buy a nice pair of sunglasses for the longest time…read more I was debating which sunglasses store I should go to, and finally decided that I would just check this store out instead of the chain store Sunglass Hut. I walked into the boutique around 9. There was one man sitting at the counter and he genuinely greeted my friend and I. As I looked through the sunglasses, Josh took out each pair I wanted to try on. He wasn't pushy, but he was knowledgable about sunglasses and answered my question about which kind of glasses would suit my face better. I have never owned designer sunglasses, and I think Josh was part of the reason why I decided to get myself some luxury. He knows sunglasses like the back of his hand and made me feel it was a good buy. Plus, the store had sale on select styles!

Lucky for us it was $35 off polarized sunglasses and only 4% sales tax in Hawaii. It was such a great deal that Hubby also bought a pair of Oakley polarized sunglasses. As we left the store, we say "bye thank you" and he walks to the area we were at, checking to see if everything was there or if we stole anything, which of course we did not. Then he runs after my brother asking if he can see the shades he walked in with. We tell him "no that's his" and he still goes up to him and snatches it out of his hands and inspected the sunglasses to see if we stole it. All he said after was "cool" and walks back in.
