This place is the worst. I cam in with my wife and sons late one night fully intending on buying a pair of Ray Ban's but left with a bag of rage and an extra package of disappointment. The store is tiny and customers block anyone from looking at sunglasses once they find a section they like. The staff are content to just sit back with arms folded and ignore everybody except their fellow employees they are chatting with. They'd be better off helping the customers so people could get in and out and not mill about aimlessly like sheep in a pasture. We had arrived close to closing, which to be fair, always bugs me because I am in retail but I always help customers like that because a helped customer is much more likely to buy and be on their way. Ignoring them just allows them to continue to wander aimlessly. Plus we're in the service business regardless of what time the customer comes in. I guess that's not part of the Sunglasses Hut training manual. Anyway like I said I arrived close to closing but I had narrowed my possibilities down to two pair and it was just a matter of seeing which one I wanted. In my mind I was not leaving there with out some shades. I figured I'd be there nno more than 15 minutes. Apparently though, they see customers looking to spend over $200 on sunglasses as a hassle. When I finally found someone who worked there it was like pulling teeth to get any sort of real help.I asked for a version of a pair I found and she said "why would I want that", as if i should just settle for the first pair I saw. I guess it was my mistake for asking to help me find what I was actually looking for. It was as if she told me they didn't have what I wanted ( which I knew they did but just couldn't find at first) I would leave and then she could go home. When in reality she could have spent the same amount of time and saved me a ton of time by helping me out. I would have been happy, made a purchase, been on my way quicker and been a return customer for sure. When I finally made my selection she brought the display models that dozens and dozens of people had tried on to the checkout counter. When I balked and asked for a new pair because I wasn't paying full price for your display glasses it was as if I'd asked her to whittle the glasses for me on the spot. I was told that they didn't have any more ( of a pair of sunglasses that a sunglasses only place sells) after having looked for 45.2 seconds. Seemed fishy to me. If that is indeed Sunglasses Hut's policy then it's a scam. I don't want your used stock, get me new ones. They really turned what could have been a quick purchase into a drawn out ordeal and it was completely unnecessary. I would avoid this place until they train their staff in how to handle customers regardless of what time they come in.
P.S. I went to their website and ordered them the same night and my pair came with no issues and no hassles.....and they were new! read more
