Terrific service and a great range with all the majors and high-class label designs available. My assistant knew her stuff (even an integral knowledge of Persol styles). She even offered to go to the QVB store to get a pair of Persol sunglasses for me to try on that they didn't have. Keep up the good work - well worth a visit if you need a pair of quality sunnies. I wouldn't of gone in if it weren't for my wife's curiosity. But once we were inside, it wasn't too much out of my interest. Funkis has a noticeably Scandinavian influence in their clothing range, shoes (more like clogs), eyeglasses, jewellery, organic shaped tableware and supplying a brand like Marimekko (I know about this brand because we received their funky kitchenware as wedding presents). The store was sparse, filled with light and the homewares colour coded against the wall. That got my wife's attention as she loves colourful, well designed homewares. Everything was reasonably priced too. There also was a dinner table set out early with christmas decor and another table with nice organic jewellery pieces on it. There was even a little patio out the back where you can sit and try on shoes (as the friendly sales assistant suggests) as well as a bookshelf near the doorway with a range of wallpaper which had cool designs. George Skoufis is the only optometrist that has sourced and found both sunglasses and specs that I can wear in public and look cool. I can't and won't go anywhere else. They have collections from uncommon Australian and overseas based eyewear designers, so you will most likely walk out with eyewear that no one else in Sydney will have. You won't find Prada, Chanel or Gucci here. The staff there really make an effort to make sure you find the perfect pair and have a great sense of style!
