This was my first time shopping and I didn't explore the entire store. I was going in for vitamin B12 and iron supplements and the vitamin section is right up front to the left as soon as you enter the shop. I also made sure to visit the candy aisle for Justin's peanut butter cups. I am a fan of Sprouts and Natural Grocers and Sunflower Shoppe is very similar to Natural Grocers. They did not have the brand of Omega 3 that I buy but they did have the exact brand of iron and one of my B12 brands. I like what Sunflower Shoppe offers and would certainly shop here again. read more

I had gone in to buy Calcium capsules and Fish Oil capsules. I got up to the counter and the lady that was checking me out, said, Oops, I charged you for 2 of the calcium. she said she fixed it. the calcium was 13.99 and the fish oil was on sale for $37.00. I got home and about 45 minutes later I was looking at my 2 receipts and I was charged for 2 calciums, when I had only bought one. I called up there and happened to get the lady that had checked me out. one receipt was for the 2 calcium's and the other receipt was for the fish oil. why did I get 2 receipts which should have been 1 receipt. the lady on the phone who checked me out told me I bought 2 calcium's, I told her I had not. she said, oh sometimes the register does that. asked me to come up and she would fix it. I paid by credit card. told her this was a big inconvenience for me. later she called and told me she could credit my credit card by phone and she did. this person either does not know what she is doing or ????? read more

I always wanted to check out this place. I was surprised there was a Nutrition section where there was someone there to help answer your questions. I was amazed on how much vitamins they offer there. Woah! From Greens to B12 to Shampoo to Chap stick and many more different items. I specifically came here to get some Almond Breeze but walked out with 3 bags of goodies. They carry my favorite Coconut Milk Creamer. They offer a lot of gluten free items. There produce section is really small. I was also surprised they carried PB2 even the chocolate PB2. They have a bulk section which is pretty small but they have want I need. They offer fresh ground flaxseed here which is hard to find. I am pretty sure this place is much more expensive than others but they also have a card where you can save each time. Another tag to add to my key chain but hey if I can save $$ why not?! read more

I've decided to update my review on this Sunflower Shoppe, because I've been back a few times since and I think they have a lot to offer, even if they are a bit pricey. And obviously it's pricier than a typical grocery store because everything in here is unquestionably organic. Plus, they've got folks working here who are actually informed when it comes to any questions you might have about nutrition, vitamins, food-allergies, different diets, skincare and beauty products, and so on. This Sunflower Shoppe is always extremely clean and well organized, and I appreciate that all of their aisles are clearly labeled and easy to navigate. You'll find a good variety of most typical health-food, allergy-free-specific, and organic brands, and while their produce section is pretty darn small, you know that these fruits, veggies, roots, and herbs are in season, fresh, most-likely local, and definitely organic. Can't go wrong! I love that this store sends out plenty of coupons in the mail and online - they really do have some great deals fairly often. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten $1 off coupons for different gluten-free foods that I often buy, like sandwich bread. Also, they carry an awesome essential oil collection that is always fun to browse, and always have different botanical lotions and shampoos/conditioners that I'm tempted to buy. I typically only stop by here when I need a thing or two; I don't come for a full-on shopping trip. Although if I had more money, I totally would! Whoa, move over Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Natural Grocers! Sunflower Shoppe is better stocked and better priced on certain products. I was looking for several superfoods that are in a recipe book and had found a few at the aforementioned grocery stores, but they all had one and not the other or the prices were crazy expensive! I found 3 of the superfood powders I was missing along with all of the others that I had already bought from various places and they were all competitively priced (i.e. the same price as Amazon). I'm talking about maqui berry (hard to find), camu camu, maca, spirulina, cacao, mulberries, etc. This is the only store I've ever seen all of these items at once. I liked being able to pick up the superfood powders locally versus ordering them online because I could see the expiration dates. Besides my new obsession of superfood powders, Sunflower Shoppe has an extensive inventory of vitamins, protein powders, teas, and other health foods. I've been to Sunflower Shoppe a few times and the associates are very nice. However, I've never been asked if I needed help while shopping. This is fine with me because I enjoy wandering around, exploring what these types of stores have. This store isn't open on Sundays. read more

I don't know of many full on health food stores, but I do know about the Sunflower Shoppe. This was my first time at this location. I used to live closer to the location in Fort Worth, on Camp Bowie, and since moving away from that area, I just don't have the need to shop at a dedicated health food store. But every once in a while I do need something that's hard to find (or maybe just more variety) and the Sunflower Shoppe always comes to mind first. The people who work here are friendly and helpful, so if you are not sure about something, just ask. I love me some sunflower shoppe. I get all of my essential oils from here and I go and explore EVERY time I go in (which is why I forget to check in) and find something new and exciting to tide me over until next time. Every 1st Tuesday of the month is "Super Tuesday" and you get 10% off your purchase. I try to reserve my visits until then so I can see the savings:) Also if you become a member of their rewards program (it's totes free) you always get a little discount! So happy I don't have to travel to timbucktoo now to get my healthy on. They don't have every.single.thing that say a whole foods or sprouts would have, but it's close and I love how nice and friendly everyone is. Plus they remain open from 9am-9pm and that helped me out when I needed some Eucalyptus oil for my sweet boys cough the other night. read more

As far as health food shops go, this one is ok. The staff is nice, the selection is good. I find the store hard to navigate though, the aisles are too cramped for people to be coming and going, so there is a lot of awkward dancing about each other. One big thing that keeps me as a loyal customer is their deals, the Sunflower Shopper's card is free, really hassle-free and I always get a discount! This is nice because Spouts carries the same supplements but for slightly higher prices and less opportunities for discounts. While the folks at Sunflower Shoppe have always been helpful and kind, I was appalled to find on my visit the other day that Covid measures are NOT being followed. Evidently the staff at this "WELLNESS MARKET" is unaware that face shields worn without a mask ARE NOT EFFECTIVE against the spread of Covid 19. Most of the staff on the floor was wearing only the face shield. I'd expect a lot better from a shop dedicated to wellness, as this pandemic rages on. read more

Great family-owned business. They have any supplement or natural product you valued ever need, and if they don't have it, they are really great about ordering it. I only come here for the essential oils and local honey. Their honey is pure, raw, and extremely local, Their essential oils are well priced and always have a great inventory to choose from. And since they asked via email what my favorite essential oils are I don't have any specific favorite but I do own the 4 ounces of peppermint, lavender, and eucalyptus. I love the sunflower shoppe! I order my cold brew coffee from them and it always comes in timely. Even when I space out and order at the last minute. What I love the most is how yall take care our needs with such a great professionalism from each associate extremely knowledgeable and the most important of all politeness and respectful. This is what I'd called great customer service always ready to help. I ve never have any complaint in the past, I have the pleasure to know most of the employees till Monday November 8th 2020 at 1:15pm, when I had an altercation with Mr. "Joe" the manager? I have been in customer service myself for the airlines industry for 20+ years dealing with not very happy customers but I have never seen this unacceptable behavior from someone in management. Ive dealt very poorly by your store manager Mr. "Joe". The reason of my complaint is irrelevant compared to Mr Joe's behavior, the customer service was so bad in fact that I felt it was worthy of this complaint. I feel that you the owner(s) should address his poor attitude as soon as possible. As a customer, I do not feel that Mr Joe is a good fit for that position being so many talented people that would go beyond expectations for this valuable company's vision and goals.
