Kung Pao Chicken: 2/10 Small pieces of chicken mostly fried so very little chicken this dish had a good amount of flavor because it was sweet. Chicken and shrimp fried rice: 1/10 Rice was so mushy quality and freshness is just not there. On one side they have the ordering area with a beverage cooler, a display case, and hats for sale with their logo. The other side has seating and can probably fit around 30 to 40 people. For lunch on this day I went with the chicken pesto panini while my father went with a hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut. The menu described my sandwich as chicken breast, sun dried tomato, toasted pine nuts, provolone, and pesto spread, and my father's simply as sauerkraut and mustard. It was busy when we were there, so it took about 10 minutes to order and another 15 minutes for the food to come out. Since we ordered separately, my food came out first and even though I planned to wait, I had enough time to eat it while waiting for my dad's. The chicken pesto panini ended up being quite good. The chicken was moist and flavorful and there was more than enough cheese. The sun dried tomatoes added a nice pop of flavor, although I wish there had been more. My favorite part was the pesto spread and pine nuts, especially the garlicky flavor from the pesto. My dad also thought his hot dog was good. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my sandwich and my dad enjoyed his hot dog, so I would be interested in trying more of the menu.

After shopping with family, we stopped here. They have been here lots of times, for me, my first time. They came here specifically for the icee floats. For me, it was all about the ice cream. The store is very clean and they had several friendly, young staff working behind the counter. I had such a hard time deciding which flavors I wanted. I love Dave's because they have so many local flavors. They even have sugar-free ice cream in a couple of basic flavors. The young lady even offered if I wanted to sample any. I finally decided on a scoop of kulolo ice cream and a scoop of toasted macadamia nut. Both of these I had never tried. It was awesome. There are some benches just outside the store so we planted ourselves on one of them and enjoyed our snacks. Glad that Kaunakakai has this snack shop, a place that deserves repeat business. Not bad. $50 worth of food but was 4 meals for me and never ate the fries. But that's why Gas cheapest in the state...your savings goes towards most expensive food in the state.
