Ulu and tumeric sourdough loaf
Brooke V.

Second week in a row ordering from these guys. Can't believe I only learned of them now!! All ingredients are locally sourced.....we ordered the ulu (breadfruit and tumeric) sourdough bread today and it's pretty much all gone as well as a jalapeño cheddar croissant...last week we got croissants, chocolate croissant and monkey bread. High quality, good prices, kind people. Support local

Totally worth the drive but watch out for school release time. Cars just sit in the lane of traffic waiting to pick there kids up. You CAN go around them but you have to be careful. School got out at 1:30 when we were there. All of that said, it is worth the trip!! The baked good are so moist and delicious! I'm so glad we stumbled upon this treasure!!

This was delicious! My sister found this online and ordered before we got to the island. The pick up spot was easy to find and all the pastries were delicious. Difficult to pick a favorite! I'd recommend ordering, looks like they only do 1 or 2 days a week but it's definitely worth it!

The Japanese milk bread was soooo soo good and I made some good dessert and toast with it after I got home! The cookie I got was huggeeeee and had a very natural taste to it. The monkey bread was good as well. The only thing that was meh was the macadamia nut roll I got which I was slight disappointed, but I also ate it after 3 days because I got too much bread so maybe it was really just my own fault, so eating it fresh is highly recommended! The stand was super cute and they also gave out free avocados there which was great! I personally ordered ahead online for pickup to make sure I got everything I wanted, but I think even if you don't order ahead, they still have items that you can purchase directly there :)

Omggg...gooey, sweet goodness! Love this cute roadside bakery. We went here on a whim, and it did not disappoint! I got the mac nut cinnamon rolls. They are huge and delicious. Come here and support this local Hawaiian shop!

They don't have the actually location any more but they do a pop up roadside stand on Wed and Friday, 2-5 pm, that you can also preorder for. I went there for the first time yesterday and tried the jalapeño cheese croissant and the ulu sourdough bread, both we excellent. I particularly loved the taste and soft texture of the sourdough bread. They also do pizzas on every second and forth Friday of the month. It's a husband and wife who bake everything and they are definitely great at what they do. Check them out if you are in Holualoa and checkout their website and preorder ahead of time if there is something you really want to try. You won't be disappointed

Sourdough wheat was delicious. They can slice their bread for you. Perfect for avacado toast for breakfast.

Wow! We went on a Saturday morning ie 8 am and some of the flavored donuts were already sold out…read more The service was awesome. It is behind the 76 gas station food court area. There is parking and there are plenty of tables to sit & enjoy. There are signs indicating where the food court area is located. It is nice and ample to eat your Malasada or donut. Prices are from $5 to $6 each. We had the Ube 10/10 and Creme Brulee 10/10. I will definitely return.

I stopped by here earlier today with my father for a morning treat. We found Paradise Bakery Hawaii…read moreon Yelp while I was looking for a bakery near Kailua-Kona. This spot is located in a food court area and was actually the only place open when we arrived. Since it is a stall, there is not too much to say other than there were two people working and a large display case filled with donuts, with malasadas in the back. After looking things over I asked if they had a lilikoi circle donut. They did not, but they recommended a strawberry glazed donut with lilikoi filling and I went with that. It came out nicely decorated with a pink glaze and a small dab of cream on top with a butterfly. When I bit into it I was happy with the flavor. The donut itself was light and fluffy and the strawberry glaze was solid. The real standout though was the lilikoi filling, which had that great balance of sharpness and sweetness and paired really well with the donut. My dad ordered a coconut malasada and said it was really good as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. They had a big selection of donuts, I enjoyed mine, and I would like to try their malasadas next time.

Cute bakery and cafe during our visit to the Big Island…read more It was a pretty long line to the door when we got there around 9am. When we got to the front, it looked like the regular croissants were already out but it seemed like the breakfast croissant was still available so it was an easy choice for us to choose this since pictures online looked good as well as the customer demolishing the sandwich from his seat across the room. We also ordered a passion fruit tart and Strawberry cinnamon roll for food and got a latte as well as a morning Kona coffee shake for myself. We asked for our drinks to go but there was a small mix-up since the receipt stated both "For Here" and "To go". Apologies!! as we know it may have caused some frustration during the busy morning rush. Overall, I enjoyed this place would love to return to just enjoy the big open space and more of their food and drink options.

Spacious bakery and cafe on the Big Island. Limited parking so be prepared to look for street…read moreparking and there was a pretty long line right after it opened so it took about 45 minutes from lining up to getting our order. I ordered an iced mac nut latte and a lilikoi pastry. Unfortunately there wasn't any mac nut syrup in either of the lattes we ordered, but the pastry was delicious. It is a very religious cafe- lots of Christian themed merch, decor and even the wifi password. I'm sure it's a great place for religious related meet-ups but it may be the most religious forward bakery/cafe I've ever been to.
