Great staff, day pass absolutely worth it. Beach clean, convenient restaurant on site, and very reasonable price. Shout out to Josh and his crew for being so friendly and courteous. Definitely will come back and stay the night. Great location as well. This resort is very family-oriented.

We got day passes and enjoyed our time at the beach and at the pool. They set up beach chairs each day and it was very relaxing to sit in the beach and read. Everything was very and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. With our day passes we got $60 in dining credits and enjoyed a burger and fish tacos from the bar. They have lots of planned activities throughout the day- perfect for kids. This resort is very family friendly, so if you're looking for an adults only experience, I would try someplace else- or just spend most of your time on the beach like we did.

Had a great day pass to sundial. Staff were friendly, pool was nice, found some nice shells on the beach. Music was not too loud which was nice, overall great experience. Plenty of parking on site

We had our daycation passes and finally were able to use them today. The 1st day of January 2025. What a crowded place. With the people who are staying there for vacations along with locals using their daycation passes it wasn't very relaxing. Having to fight for a chair to sit or fighting for a chair at the Turtle Tiki Bar/restaurant was unbelievable. A very generous man from Michigan offered us two of his chairs Once we got chairs I had a woman who kept telling me that her husband was going to need my chair. I got tired of that so when my hubby and I decided to leave we saw a couple of ladies waiting for chairs so we gave them ours. We did enjoy sharing their beach burger meal with a couple of cokes . The main area front desk etc was unmanned and people were lost trying to find someone to help them. Overall some of the guests were very rude. The staff were kind but were very difficult to find. We may return again during off season months and try again.

Great experience at the Sundial for the Daycation Pass. We paid just $100 for two of us and received $60 in food/drinks credits. Very good activities for adults and families: tie-dye shirts, bingo, pool activity, volleyball, etc. Lunch was delicious and a great variety of drinks. The pool was a perfect temperature. Make sure you bring towels - the only bad thing is that they charge $15 per towel. Definitely don't want to do that. You can bring a water bottle and get yourself refills at the water station. Atmosphere was very friendly. Everyone who was working was fantastic the whole day!!! Definitely going back

Wonderful experience on a mom/daughter trip. Super attentive and kind staff, beautiful (& seemingly new) room, wonderful amenities. The gym was stellar, the rec shack team was very helpful, and the bikes were great. We ate at nearly every restaurant on site and it was all tremendous - especially the sushi!

We've visited Sanibel island twice now. We stayed at Point Santo last time, in 2018. This year, over July 4th week in 2022, we stayed at Sundial. I prefer Sundial; it has a lot going for it. It was reasonably priced, and I hear it's the largest resort on Sanibel Island. The restaurants were great, and we spent a ton of time on the beach. The resort is nicely maintained, and you could tell they put a lot of effort into maintenance and general upkeep. However, there are a few downsides. Sundial is starting to show its age. The rooms lack electrical outlets, and it definitely feels very 1970's-ish at times. Oh, and the ... bathroom. Oh man. The bathroom in our main bedroom was EXTREMELY small - out of proportion small compared to the overall generous size of our condo. I could barely fit inside, let alone change clothes or shower. I halfway expected Superman to come bursting out of this 'phone booth' bathroom with an "S" on his chest. But, like me, Clark would also have to turn completely sideways to fit his shoulders through the doorway of this latrine. The micro bathroom is also hotter than the sunny side of the planet Mercury, with no air conditioning or ventilation of any kind. If you have any extended .. business .. in there, be sure to let a family member know to check on you every 15 minutes, lest you stroke-out from the heat and lack of oxygen. Other than that, I don't really have any major complaints. Did I mention the bathroom was crazy tiny?

It is about 3.5 stars for this resort. We have the Florida Residence discount during our weekend stay. The full price is a bit expensive including the resort fees. This is a inclusive resort. It has bicycle, kayaking, paddle board, umbrella and chairs and more. One thing for sure they can help on pleasant stay is to load and unload the equipment to the sea. Their kayak is heavy to move. They are not light weight. Tower is available on the counter. The room and compound is nice. We have a one bedroom suite. The room has tv, kitchen, sofa bed and more. Room is clean to our knowledge. Our room includes the breakfast. We took the kayak to the sea and see a lot of fish. The also have bike for the 26 mike bike path in the island. There are several tennis court with world class clay court. There are several swimming pool in the compound. The beach access is nice with wash down the sand. It is private beach and you don't see the public use.

We looked at a few different resorts for our dream wedding and vacation venue for May 2022. The Sundial's well-manicured landscaping and resort amenities stood out to us right away. We had a wonderful time on our weddingcation making memories with our families in paradise. The Sundial has a salon and spa that we used for bridal party hair and makeup. Everyone was so wonderful and we loved how our looks turned out. It was very convenient not to have to drive somewhere else to get those cosmetic services done on the big day. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised on how smoothly our big day went as far as timeline and the overall atmosphere of the event. We wanted a small intimate wedding in paradise with our closest family members and we felt very satisfied. The weather was beautiful and the Florida plants and ocean added an unmistakable charm to the event. The resort staff was very attentive and helped everything go smoothly, the tear down process at the end seemed to happen in a flash they made it so easy!! They even drove my new husband and I back to our room in a golf cart so we wouldn't have to walk after our reception. The resort had a few memorable amenities like free bike and beach towel rentals. The biggest plus for me was the beach chairs they set out every day, it's so nice not to have to lug your own chair back and forth!!! Highly recommend the Turtle Tiki bar, the drinks were strong and the nachos made a perfect afternoon beach snack. We stayed in a recently renovated room and it was a great experience. Everything was very clean and we loved the view of the ocean. Our bathrooms had light-up mirrors that were really neat. The elevators in every building were also a nice touch for a relatives that have trouble climbing up the stairs. If you're looking for a wedding venue or a place to make memories with your loved ones the Sundial is an excellent choice!

Wow...where to begin. We stayed at Sundial resort the last week of August and had an incredible experience all around. The pool was clean, large, and had a great poolside service. You can rent paddle-boards for FREE and kayaks which was the highlight of our trip to Sanibel Island. The rooms were HUGE and bigger than some apartments. They had a full kitchen, patio, living room, two bathrooms, and more. The view was incredible and the beach was unlike anything I've ever seen. They also work closely with Sanibel Golf Carts which was a great experience and easy process to get around the island. We had a facial one day and the spa was clean, the facial was incredible (have I said incredible enough lol it was just THAT good), and the staff was so kind. We also took advantage of the breakfast in the morning that had the best cheddar scalloped potatoes I've had in a long time and the view overlooked the pool out to the ocean. We also had dinner at Shima and the staff was great, food was tasty, and it was overall a great time. We flew in from California and can't wait to plan our next vacation at Sundial. It will be a yearly family trip now!!

I stayed here for two nights with my family and we had an awesome time. The front desk woman who checked us in was lovely and very helpful. Their covid protocols were great, all staff wore masks and food service wore gloves as well. Our room was HUGE. We had everything we needed, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, towels whenever we asked, toiletries, access to bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. There were multiple pools and just a couple steps away from the beach. On the beach we saw dolphins twice, lots of shells and starfish. The bartenders were very helpful and fast. We also ate down at the bar a couple times and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the jerk chicken sandwich and sundial burger. The hotel shop had everything we would need so we barely left the resort and they don't price gouge like other resort shops. The one thing I would recommend bringing(I'm sure they have it, but I didn't ask) is bug spray. I did get bit by some sand fleas, but it's totally understandable since we were on the beach at night time. This place is great to stay with your family and getaway.

I think this is the best resort on the whole Sanibel Island. It is beach side and has so many activities for the people staying there or just visiting from outside( we visited it for couple drinks and beach side activities). They have a pretty cool pool with small private cabanas where you can sit and enjoy the time. They offer a lot of amenities to their customers including: -Jacuzzi -Full Service Spa & Hair Salon -Cabanas -Beach Chairs, Towels, and Beach Umbrellas -Onsite Bicycles, Kayaks and Paddleboards -Water Sports Options -HydroGrid Tennis Courts -Beach Volleyball Court -Five heated Swimming Pools They have a pretty big restaurant and we loved the bar outside. Good music on the beach side with lovely drinks and bonfire was a breathtaking experience. Crowd was really nice and its pretty good for relaxing.

Parking is abundant, that includes covered and uncovered parking areas. The pool area is very nice as well with a screened in bar area for drinks, and a hot tub off to the side as well. They also have gas grills available for people that would like to eat in, they aren't the best grills ever but easily get the job done. The resort has 3 "paths" to walk down to the beach which is about a mile and half from the light house. Also the resort office has umbrellas available to rent, a small reading library, and movies available as well. Some things I'm not overly crazy about but they don't really ruin the experience is that the hot tub is way too hot to enjoy if you are there during the summer months. I could see in the winter time it being refreshing but during the summer months they should turn the temperature down on the water. While the resort does have free wifi, the coverage is not very good. Most of the walking paths are gravel so if you are going barefoot you had better toughen up them feet. Overall staying here is a very enjoyable experience and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay while on the island.

We, as Hilton Grand Vacation (HGV) members, can travel freely and stay at numerous properties around the country and the world. Hurricane House works with HGV to allow HGV members to use some of its "condos" when the actual owners choose not to use them. That is how we ended up at Hurricane House during the first few days of September 2021. There are 15 units at Hurricane House and we were given one of the two story units (#6). We were aware that this is an older property but Hilton is pretty good about only offering its members quality accommodations. OK....the good first: Check in was a breeze and the exterior of the property was well maintained. Parking was plentiful and close. Each unit has one spot reserved in the first floor covered garage. First impression upon entering was very good. The first floor was a hallway, great room and kitchen. Furniture was comfortable and "beach themed" and very adequate. First floor flooring is all tile. The kitchen is a bit cramped (two people at a time) but well stocked with all you would need to prepare meals. Appliances are modern and very clean. Upstairs has two very large bedrooms with King beds. The "master" is larger with a totally adequate bathroom and lots of closet space. The smaller king bedroom has an extra sleeping space near the window. Upstairs carpeting is quality "waffle" material that is nice looking and easy on the feet. Both bathrooms have skylights that are a nice touch. Everything upstairs was easy on the eyes, clean and nicely decorated. A stacked compact washer and dryer is upstairs in a closet and works quite well. The pool area was small but nicely kept. Pool water was clean but not crystal clean. There were lots of chairs, tables, lounges and two jacuzzies but we didn't use them. The wood walkway to the beach is well maintained and has a shower, sink with running water (not sure what for) and a knee-level water sprayer to de-sand your feet upon returning. The property has a number of "sand chairs" you can take out to the beach and return when you are done. We didn't use the gas grills but there were, I think, three of them that were clean and ready for use. The beach behind the property is not very wide but the sand is clean. No seaweed events while we were there. Bring flip-flops as the sand can get very hot and the beach has many areas with sharp, crunchy areas of shells of all sizes. Now the bad: Both king mattresses were (for us) way too soft; and for me, at least, it affected my sleep. I cannot remember staying in a hotel or vacation property with mattresses this soft. The A/C thermostat is at the bottom of the stairs and cools the downstairs fine. Upstairs was warm. We cranked it down to 70 to try to cool the upstairs at night but it was still too warm for me. As the outside air temperature cooled, by early morning the bedrooms were comfortable. The refrigerator had no ice maker or even ice trays. An obvious inconvenience. For the guys, the most serious problem was the TV. We had planned to watch a number of NCAA football games. Both bedrooms have TVs but we did not use them. All TVs have DVD players (but not Blu-Ray). The living room has an LG flat screen TV of about 40 inches. The TV was older but fine; the cable service is just awful. There was no High Definition (720 or 1080p) service at all. And many people do not realize that Standard Definition (480p) TV looks worse on an HDTV than on an old CRT TV. There were no instructions on what the channel lineup was or how to find it (we eventually did). The TV and the Infinity cable box remotes were odd, old and difficult to figure out. All in all a very old school, unsatisfying experience. The last time I had this problem was in 2007 in Hawaii. Never thought I'd see it again. If you do not plan on watching TV, disregard this part. Overall I'd give our five day experience a C+ rating. Fix the TV, Ice and A/C issues and it would be close to an A.
