Compared to other lodging options in the area, this property is now falling behind in several ways. Some areas that could be improved include: * The walls are very thin, so noise from neighboring rooms carries easily. * There is no longer a complimentary breakfast, which was disappointing. * The toilet seat slams shut and could use soft-close bumpers. * The bathroom door swing makes the space feel cramped. * The room could use another trash or recycling bin. * The lighting is very dim, making the room feel dark. * The bedding feels outdated and wasn't very comfortable for the summer. * The microwave's turntable didn't rotate. * We found a fly between the sheets, which was concerning. * The TV remote only worked when standing directly in front of the TV, making it difficult to use. * The pool is small and very shallow. The property also has an on-site restaurant, but we found the prices to be considerably higher than other nearby dining options. There is only one picnic table available for guests, and it's located between the designated smoking area and the dumpster, making it an unpleasant place to enjoy a meal or relax outside. We noticed other reviews mention concerns about management, but our goal isn't to criticize--it's to provide honest, constructive feedback. We've stayed here multiple times because we know what this property is capable of. We hope management views these suggestions as opportunities to improve the guest experience, because with better maintenance, updated amenities, and more attention to guest comfort, Pine Peaks Lodge could once again be a top choice in the area.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything in the room worked as expected. The only minor issue we noticed was that the bathroom sink drained a little slowly. While there was no daily housekeeping during our stay, the staff was fantastic about providing anything we needed. We also had an issue with a clogged toilet and staff responded within about 5 minutes, which was awesome customer service. That said, it might be nice to have plungers available in the bathrooms to save guests a little embarrassment. I absolutely have to mention that the nachos were some of the best we've ever had. The portion size was massive and they were fully loaded! Also the Cajun Alfredo was phenomenal (we even got it to-go a couple times to heat up later and it was still amazing)! Highly recommend!!! A few improvements I think would make the resort even better: * Better soundproofing. We were in room 124 and could hear the bar throughout the night. Thankfully it was never extremely loud, but it was noticeable at times. * Blackout curtains/window coverings instead of the current white blinds. The morning sun comes through very aggressively. * A fish cleaning house would be an amazing addition. My partner and I are huge fishers and caught over 100 fish during our stay, but couldn't keep any because there wasn't a place to clean them. * During our stay, we noticed the food prices we were charged did not match the menu we had originally been given. On the last night of our stay, we were provided an updated menu dated 6/3/26, which means we had been given an outdated menu while still being charged the newer pricing. Since our stay was from 6/4/26 through 6/7/26, it would have been nice to have received the updated menu from the start to avoid confusion, though I completely understand that new menus can take some time to roll out. (Plus there were newly-updated items on the menu that we would have loved to have ordered previously)! * There are currently no onsite laundry amenities available (at least for the suites). For guests like us who prefer to pack light or stay for multiple days, having laundry facilities onsite would be a really nice addition. Also, I saw a previous review mentioning loud headboards and can confirm that issue seems to have been fixed, at least in our room. ;) Overall, we had a GREAT stay and are already planning to return!

The Walleye fingers and Canadian Walleye were excellent. The steak was fine. But the Walleye meal and steak meal game with small portions of vegetables and potatoes. The other food was fine except for the pasta(Cajun and fettuccini) where the sauces were very watery and the children who ate them even described them as that. I woukd say high price meals for mediocre food. The wait staff did their best and the setting was gorgeous (kids went swimming) and there was music.

They did get it fixed but the first night was hot and humid. I would probably seek different accommodations if we were in the area again.

We just spent 4 days here. We rented a pontoon for the day for $120 plus gas. We stayed in cabin #4. It had air conditioning, stove, refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Everything is in good working condition and clean! It is not a 4 star hotel but we were not expecting that. Each cabin has a gas grill and fire pit. You can buy firewood, ice and bait. The resort is on Lake Wabedo, which is a good sized lake. We saw eagles, deer and loons. We loved hearing the loons call each other . Maggie and Jerry were excellent hosts and take very good care of you.

We were winging it as far as accommodations since we also had camping gear with us. A last minute phone call to a very accommodating owner made for a happy night with a warm shower, hot meal, cold beer and soft bed possible. The cabins are right off the trail so super convenient. They are clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Access to the lake is as good as it gets! We would definitely stay here again.

We used the larger cabin on the water front. Great placement, we loved and used the deck out front every night! For the price that was listed online is what we got. Nothing fancy or overly accommodating but we didn't pay for that. You can find many cabins along many of lakes that cost quite a bit more then here. The cabin was clean and had lots of room inside to place all of the stuff we brought up. Having a kitchen and grills located on site was very helpful. I would recommend on bringing your own pillow as most of them were on the flat side but no big deal if you know ahead of time. The beds were very simple but way better then sleeping on the ground. It was nice to have our own harbor to park the boats every night and power was near for charging batteries just bring a cord. Bait and ice were available at the main lodge. they have an onsite fish cleaning house, we were all a bit confused on what to do with any water so that would be a good question to ask if you choose to use the fish house.
