I don't really have anything bad to say, so I will try and list all of the things that are great about this place. We had a total of 5 cabins split between the family. I stayed in cabin #1 with my wife, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and my 2 yr old niece. The cabin was very cozy between the 5 of us. It was one of the smaller cabins, but it had a porch and a nice view of the lake through the back. All of the cabins are very clean and up to date with fireplace, a/c, fully functional kitchen, and electric heaters. The grounds of the resort is beautiful. Flower beds were blooming with flowers. There is a newly renovated playground area, a volleyball pit, a game room, and a very nice fish cleaning station. A secret garden can be found with very interesting knick knacks and decor. There is a swimming beach lined with kayaks, fun bugs, paddle boats, paddle boards, and other various water accessories. Again, all of the equipment has been well taken care of, so much that a lot of it looks brand new. These items are all available to use by the campers with a proportional deposit at the main office. There is a boat ramp and very nice boat stalls where you can tie up a boat or even keep your boat under a covered dock with a boat lift. The resort is conveniently located near local establishments where you can pick up food, alcohol, fishing gear, etc. My only minor complaint about the place is that they do not allow dogs, but I can understand their reasoning as the cabins are closely quartered and many people probably don't want to deal with peoples obnoxious pets while on vacation. All in all, Black Pine Beach Resort is a wonderful place to get away from reality, and I look forward to the many future Labor Days to come at BPBR.

One year, my family decided to visit all the remaining resorts. We wanted to find the best resort and best value. This one was a gem! We have stayed there a few times now, and I wouldn't consider any other resort on the Whitefish chain. I can tell the owners not only care about their resort, but they care about the Crosslake-Pequot Lakes- Pine River area. I hope and pray the owners don't decide to retire and sell it off. I left with a full heart. Sperrs' Point' Resort has an original rustic design with breathtaking scenery. Really. If you want to experience real beauty all you have to do here is look around during the day, look up in the night, and take a breath. Take a deep breath. Then experience what we are all looking for in life. Some sort of realness in this ever changing world. There's a soft sandy beach and the lake water is so clear you can see your feet at the bottom. Although I don't fish, I'm told that the fishing is great. During the day I watched my daughters on paddle boards reconnect in ways they never would be able to in the busy life we all experience. I watched children play in the water and on the beach all day and into the evenings. I just took it all in. The cabins keep the rustic experience of years gone by where families enjoyed the simplicity of time together without the clutter. We sat by the open fire in the evenings sharing stories. And we laughed. We really laughed. We looked up at a clear sky that sparkled with stars. We waited for the Northern Lights' magical dancing that never disappoint. If you're looking for more than just a getaway--if you want a place where tradition, family, and welcoming come together--this resort is the place. It has heart. Michael and Elizabeth Sperr' are the owners and I have the impression they want everyone's experience at Sperrs' Resort to be positive and have memories that will last a lifetime. The cabins (dating from the late 40's to the early 00's) are all wonderfully reminiscent of northern MN/WI lake cottages my family grew up visiting and brought back a lot of great memories. It is exactly what a rustic resort should be -- simple and quaint! We even found out that many guests and their families have been coming here for over 60 years! The beach is a true gem -- hundreds of feet of sandy shoreline and clear water. And because it's on a point, you have amazing views of most of beautiful Webb Lake. Each cabin has its own dock and guests have access to pontoons, fishing boats, kayaks and canoes. We'll be back next year!

Unfortunately the weekend we were here it was really rainy and cold but at least there was a small break to get the boat out for our family to fish. The owners were super friendly & checked in with us upon arrival. Only issue I would really call out was that our cabin (the duplex) had uneven floors and the bathroom door would not open all the way because of it.

The upstairs bedroom has a wall with large windows without a curtain... it felt very exposed. Also I kept finding black ants in my room scurrying across the floor. Otherwise, the lakes have pretty decent fishing, and the shoreline is nice and sandy. My only real issues are the ants and lack of privacy.

Hand soap and dish soap supplied (no dishwasher) Also there are no closets so space is at a premium. Decent kitchen and dining but living room is small and only one bath. Large loft upstairs with four twin beds upstairs. Nice beach and play area for kids. Check in is 4pm and checkout is 8am (we left a day early because if the early checkout) overall a nice vacation spot. Bring your own pillow and a couple blankets if the night are cool.
