    Wings dry rub
    Sarah B.

We got married here in august 2021 so an unbiased opinion is that a piece of our hearts belongs here. It has since changed a ton though and I believe has new ownership. They are remodeling the entire look of the resort and selling off cabins in a time share style way + adding an amazing new "beach club" with more amenities which is what this resort needed. We recently stopped in the celebrate our anniversary and although the menu has changed a ton over the years especially with different chefs since 2020 we are Happy to report that the wings are back to being fantastic and the dry rub is awesome. We also are happy to report that our favorite bartender (and many guests at our weddings favorite) is still here too - we love you Deb! Other than that, don't expect this place to be comparable to grandview or maddens, it's smaller and more intimate with less amenities but the lake view from your rooms and beach access are awesome and if you're there for simply that then stay here! If you're look for more then go elsewhere and spend the extra dollars!

Absolutely wonderful staff, the location is amazing! We had our wedding at one of the 5-bedroom cabins and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Xxx

Just finished a 3 week stay at Quarterdeck Resort and could easily do 3 weeks more. Hands down some of the best views on Gull Lake with the most fabulous staff!! If your looking for a resort where your room comes with a full lake view, an expansive, private deck, beach area with complimentary paddle boards and canoes, full service restaurant with the absolute best bar view, "sand bar" with kiddie and adult cocktails, full music schedule and the best ever staff then Quarterdeck Resort is for you!! Special shout out to Zach, Grace & Abby at the front desk and Nicole, Deb, Cullen, Tegan & Molly at Dock 77 & the Sand Bar for outstanding service. Can't wait to see y'all next summer!

Came here for a wedding a few weeks ago and am pretty blown away by this place. The views are phenomenal and there's a very comforting/laid back vibe to the whole resort. We stayed in the Aspen room which had a huge deck overlooking the dock, restaurant patio, and lake. Staff was really friendly and mostly helpful. Seems like a fun place to "learn how to work" at for the younger folks behind the front desk and running back and forth on the docks helping people secure their boats. Nice amenities offered - self serve coffee bar is great. Minus 1 star for the spotty internet and lack of connectivity between the TVs in our room. One worked and the other didn't - no explanation how to fix and when we called downstairs, they weren't sure how to fix it. Would highly recommend renting a pontoon boat for 1/2 the day if you get the opportunity. I want to come back here when the whole lake is frozen over for that winter experience. -J

Since the new ownership this place has become our favorite spot! I had the Cranberry club sandwich and it was amazing. My husband had the walleye sandwich and it was equally as good. Our service was above and beyond; thank you Ashlyn. We love what they've done with the place and can't wait to go back.

I loved the view from the bar. I was delighted that they feature local micro breweries in their Octoberfest lineup. And the food was awesome. Try the Mn soup and the sausage linguini. Deb the bartender was friendly and accommodating! We will go back!

Spectacular outdoor seating. We had really good lunch, one of the best cranberry bread sandwiches ever. Delicious cocktails. Will be back.

Having four families together made it especially meaningful. We filled the days with winter walks, ice skating, swimming and hot tubbing in both the upper and lower pools, bingo nights, and a great family dinner at the Northwoods Pub. Simple moments, shared memories. The lodges themselves are perfect for larger families--a common dining and gathering space with four bedrooms that comfortably sleep 12-14 people. Everything is well thought out and easy. There's adequate food on site, great amenities, and in the summer the ice cream shop is always a hit. What stood out most, though, was the care from the staff and management. We experienced a family emergency during our stay, and they went above and beyond to help us. That kind of care makes a place feel more than just a resort, it feels like people actually see you. We're already grateful for the memories and looking forward to coming back

We love the outdoor hot tub that is really 3 hot tubs together making for plenty of space. Feels great in 1degree weather. The indoor pool, hot tub and water slide are also a fun attraction. The first year we came here they had a breakfast buffet which was awesome but the last time they did not offer it and only had a pre fix menu with a couple buffet style options. The complimentary s'mores are a nice touch and there are a few on site dining options available. It was quiet and secluded on off peak times but not all of the amenities are available. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. Would love to check out during summer ours to experience more of the amenities!

Service was pretty rough from the start. Our server was friendly, but they spilled our drinks at the table and then had to take them back because they'd been made with bad milk. It took forever to get the first round and even longer to get the second. You'd think they'd move faster getting us the second round given the first was spilled and made with bad milk! Definitely a missed opportunity to make up for the poor overall service. The bread was the highlight of the night, which is very telling given it was standard crostini bread. That said, it was warm, fresh, and served with delicious butter. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't live up to that start. The food took far, far, far too long to come out and when it finally did, it didn't all arrive together. Half the table started eating while the other half just sat and watched and continued to wait for their food to come. I thought they brought it out separately to serve things hot, but the food that was first brought out was only lukewarm. I got the steak sandwich, which was fine but pretty bland. Even the sauce couldn't save it... The fries were well-seasoned but soft and floppy, which just made them feel sad and unappealing. I had an espresso martini with dinner and it was basically a chocolate drink with no real espresso flavor. Overall, the setting was fine, but slow service, uneven timing, and subpar food made this a disappointing experience.

I ordered the Cajun rigatoni and they were kind enough to substitute the shrimp for chicken. The pasta sauce had the perfect level of spice and everyone at the table agreed that mine was the best meal. Fully recommend the pasta! For service, we didn't have a good experience which may or may not have been because our waiter was new(?). Everything just seemed to take a long time and in some cases when he would come to our table, he would have to leave and come back because he forgot his pen or something else he needed. He accidentally spilled drinks on two of the people at my table (didn't offer to comp the drinks), and ran out half of the food for our table-- went to help a different table-- then ran out the rest of our food after a good 10 minutes. If we had had a different server, I think it would have been a totally different experience. Our friend who has been here many times said she has never had any kind of experience like this before.

Level land and cabins steps from the lake make the water easily accessible. It's a a cove on Gull Lake so a bit protected from the really busy boat traffic (there still is traffic- just not as much as on the main partnof the lake). Beautiful spot to watch the sunset from. We stayed in Cabin 1 which is actually a trailer with an attached screen porch. Tiny but enough space for 2. Lots of cute, personalized touches like a chalkboard greeting us by name and some fresh cookies on the table. The only problem was that it was a very humid weekend and the wall air conditioner in the living room just didn't help the bedrooms. Kayaks are free to take out, which I loved! The calm water in the cove plus rhe nearby channels are perfect for kayking. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. You need to bring your own towels and soap for the shower. This isn't a big resort so no restaurant or anything like that on-site. Not much of a beach so I don't think I'd bring small children. More for adults who want to relax and maybe boat.

Yes, I would love it if the showers were bigger and I could do laundry while I was there, but you know what, you can't have everything, and sitting on the screened in porch with my coffee and a book in the morning and canoeing in the afternoon or playing on the little beach makes it all worthwhile. Sue and staff do a wonderful job here and there's a good reason they are often booked months in advance.

We were so looking forward to it and bummed out to learn this. 3. We were told our unit would have washer and dryer at time of booking.
