My to-go burger featured a handmade pattie, and the onion rings were *really* good. The personal pizza was pretty good too, with a nice balance of toppings. Small but the perfect amount of food for one person. Returning for an in-person breakfast, I appreciated the warmness of the staff as we were welcomed in. Our food was freshly made, and high quality too! The blueberries in the pancakes were a nice option. I would definitely recommend Falcon's Nest if you're in the area. Family-friendly, quality food, and a very friendly staff.

Went to Yale Burger Barn and it was nice and spacious, very clean and great service. Our order…read moreinside came plated on really nice plates. Food was pretty good, but would suggest real turkey versus thicker cut lunch meat that did not really taste like turkey in the turkey ruben and bread was nice, but needed to taste more rye. The Slim Jim could be better with shaved ham crisped just a little on a grill before putting in the sandwich versus a too thick piece of ham. The coconut shrimp with hashbrowns were a nice big portion, but the coconut shrimp should be served with a jelly grape or plum type sauce versus the red cocktail sauce - hashbrowns were cooked perfect. Overall we really like the restaurant but would try different things. The small side salad could be a little less pricey wise as well since nothing comes with the sandwich.

Pulling in, it was quite evident that this is a spot that the locals go to for a killer breakfast…read more The joint was hopping with lots of conversation. I wasn't sure whether it was seat yourself, so I waited at the cashier station and the very polite cashier asked me if she could help me. (I was carrying a folio, so she might have thought I was there to do an inspection!) Once I got seated, my order of coffee and ice water with lemon was delivered with great haste, and I had some time to peruse the menu. This isn't some place you go for organic specials or free-range kale - this is a classic American diner. I asked for a half order of French Toast (meow favorite) with bacon and eggs, soft scrambled. It came out much faster than I expected. The bacon was good, nicely salted... the eggs were letting down the side though. They were cold in spots but cooked exactly to order, so maybe they were done before the rest of the order....? The French Toast was on point and hitting hard. Servers came by on the regular to deliver fresh coffee while I made notes on house hunting. Payment was quick and easy. Andes after-dinner mints are available for 25 cents each at the time of writing. I will definitely be back - might not be a "regular" depending on where I end up living - but this place definitely requires meow further investigation.

I love this place, but I have seen spiderwebs on the windows and the bathroom had a bug. 1 star- service- yes! Absolutely! This is a little hole in the wall diner. The waitresses will know you by name after just a couple of visits. Shout out to Tina who it excellent. The owner Nancy will even come out and chat if she is there. 1star- efficiency- service is quick and expedient. Everything is made to order, but doesn't take forever. They even serve the fish they catch. Check out the specials to see if they have any fresh fish. It's so amazing when they do. 1star- the food- 10 stars! Today I had open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. I usually get the fish. Anyone can get the senior meal. It's a slightly smaller portion, but still all I can eat. I had big pieces of both white and dark meat and it tasted like it straight off of a Thanksgiving turkey. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, so you may get a lump or two, but add the chicken gravy and it's delicious! They even toasted and buttered the bread before adding the turkey and gravy. Little touches like that matter. 1star- ambiance- Yes. It's a diner. There is plenty of seating - booths or tables. Seating is spaced well. It's a John Wayne Western theme. It's wheelchair accessible and there are highchairs for babies. So my heart wants to say 5 stars, but reality says 4. I still highly recommend for some great home cooked comfort food.
