This was a wonderful birthday gift from my wife. She coordinated with Mark and found a day that…read moreworks for his schedule, and underlined the importance of timing. But that morning, he cancelled last minute without cause. The weather was beautiful, not just visually, but all the metrics on Foreflight. Gorgeous day for a flight. No refund, even when he cancels, and without cause. We had a year to use the booking. It took the better part of that year to find a gap in work and travels. I reached out with a few months left, but I have not heard back from Mark, even with follow ups. Total silence. In essence, we prepaid for a flight, he cancelled without cause, and he has been radio silent to reschedule. It has felt like a total scam. Buyer beware.

Mark took me out for a spin and much much more. I had a ball…read more Before the flight he took his time explaining everything, and getting a good feel for what I was actually looking for, and what I thought I could tolerate. I am not a pilot, so I just came to experience aerobatics. The first few simple maneuvers (roll and loop) were somewhat comparable to a good roller coaster (e.g. Flight deck at Great America). But having experienced that with a huge grin on my face Mark took it up a notch, ... and another, and another, and another ... Each step he checked with me to make sure I wanted more. In the end, after a wild combination of twists and turns that had me completely disoriented, I did start to feel a bit queasy. But at that point my time was up, and Mark had already announced that it would be the last trick. At no point did I feel unsafe, Mark most definitely knows what he is doing. Add to that that his airplane (extra 300) is 100% build for aerobatics. Yes, with a Stearman you can do tricks too, but if you want the real deal it doesn't compare. That said, the real deal is not for the faint of heart, but Mark would stop at whatever level you are comfortable. All in all an absolutely awesome experience.

From my very first lesson, he made me feel comfortable and confident in the plane. What I love most is how he breaks things down in a way that actually makes sense. He's great at explaining what you're doing and why, and he makes each flight both fun and educational. You can tell he truly loves flying and teaching--it definitely rubs off on you! Whether we were working on takeoffs, landings, or just practicing maneuvers, Jackson always stayed calm, encouraging, and supportive. He makes learning to fly exciting instead of stressful. If you're thinking about taking flight lessons, definitely go with Jackson. You'll learn a ton and have a great time doing it!

Here's the corrected version of the text:…read more Worst annual experience ever! Abdi broke things--the DG, the hydraulic system, the brakes, etc. In the process of covering up what he had broken, he broke more things and damaged the aircraft even further. The first time he told me the plane was ready, the nose wheel was installed backwards, and the brakes couldn't hold at anything over idle RPM. Who knows what else was wrong. I stopped checking after the brakes. The second time he told me the plane was ready, the magnetos were miss-wired, and the P lead wouldn't kill the engine. He also damaged the hydraulic system and couldn't fix it. After four months and my insistence on bringing another A&P into his shop to inspect it, he finally called LASAR for help.
