In…read morethe recent round of rain storms, my sump pump stopped working as it is supposed to, and I ended up with about 5 inches of groundwater in the basement. I was able to get the sump pump working again, but 3 days after it stopped raining, I was still getting a lot of water in the pit. I found a sticker for Contractors Waterfproofing, and figured they might of installed the system for the old owners, so I gave them a call. From the moment he picked up Greg was service oriented and responsive. He asked for my address to look up the job, and when he couldn't find it, he called back within 5 minutes to ask what was going on. I explained the problem, and he immediately told me that was normal for my part of town, and told me I just needed to replace the pump and I would be fine. He offered me a price that was half what his competitors charge, but I told him I would do the work myself since I am capable. He then answered a ton of questions about the install, and we had a great conversation about life and how my son could maximize his potential long-term, as he is currently a plumbers apprentice. The bottom line is that the system Greg installed 20 years ago is still working perfectly, and when the pump failed, he not only gave me a fair price, but then walked me through how to do the job myself. This is unheard of in 2025. Greg will get all my business going forward. Thank you.

The crew of 3 worked aprox 5 hours each day and took 2 days to complete. It is hard dirty work and the guys were great. Respectful and pretty quiet. The system has been in for a week and the basement is dry...and getting better daily. A few downsides...the 70 feet of pipe in the ground has a giant mound over it the whole length which I now have to fix. We didn't have basement access from outside so the crew had to pass 1 bucket at a time out a window that unfortunately is right at our main entry. They did the best they could, but the decking and the shingle siding at the window area was trashed. Covered in mud/cement splatters and pretty scraped up despite the cardboard and plastic they laid out. I have some clean up work to do there as well. There is no "kim" copyright special cement...its quick crete... just add water home depot anyone can purchase. I figured about 1200 in labor and 2400 max in materials ( gravel, hoses, pitboss, matting and cement) I paid 9100.00 pretty big profit somewhere. Hank Johnson, owner of Stone Artistry, came out personally to assess our situation and sent us an estimate the next morning. We appreciated his vast knowledge of his craft as he took stock of our situation. It's obvious that he has decades of experience under his belt. Hank has a good sense of humor and is a very personable. He made us feel at ease and that we could trust his assessment of things. His communication was consistent and responsive both by email and text. He kept us updated about where progress on the job stood and what we could expect moving forward. His crew was courteous and kept the job-site organized and tidy. At one point Hank noted to us that the wall required more attention to shore it up and avoid faster deterioration down the road. His added estimate was fair and he made it very clear as to why the additional work was needed. Hanks' crew not only repaired the portion of the wall and made it look really good- but they cleaned the surface of the entire wall and removed sand and dirt that had accumulated at its base. There were many larger pieces of flagstone and other rocks that didn't get used in the repair job and Hank's crew left all of that on premises - which felt very honest! We will absolutely hire them again in the future.
