We had major water issues in our basement with water coming up through the concrete. We were close to install a gutter system that sits on the footing and it just did not feel right. My friend worked with American dry and recommended them. Paul Silva came out and broke down the way water gets in. He is perhaps one of the most professional, responsive and organized people we worked with for our house. Truly an amazing representation of American dry so we knew we were in good hands. When the work began, we instantly saw that their system was miles ahead of anything out there. The footings are perfectly flat, so putting in any waterproofing on the footings with no pitch makes no sense. Their pipes are pitched into the sump pumps and they installed cleanouts so i can see into the pipe. The installation team led by Juan was incredible. He further explained the process and showed us the system along the way. Some of the hardest working crews out there. We had a lot of local friends with water issues come and see the work and it was impressive. During the entire construction process they also were sucking the air out side so dust was minimal and they cleaned up so good and fogged for mold. It is like getting an entirely new basement! The end result is my basement is DRY!!! No musty smell. It smells like a real floor. The sump pumps are entirely silent. My old sump pumps rattled the whole house. I just check my app and see how many gallons they pumped out. I researched for months and met with multiple companies and in the end I am certain i made the right decision. For anyone out there that is dealing with the stress of water in the basement, musty air, mold or flooding.... this is the system to install. Not giving me a heads up to call someone to cap the boiler flue? I didn't know this until I went up to the rooftop to check out the situation myself, because a storm was coming through and when I looked at the chimney from ground level it looked wrong. This could have been a disaster if I didn't catch it and called another company who was available to come by and cap the flue. Not sure what these guys are doing, but seems sketchy to me. Also tried to convince me I need a new chimney, roof and boiler set up. Second opinion said no to all. Two stars because fireplace insert is working.
