Would have to be the worst customer service ever experienced in our life. Do not waste your time with this company. If communication had of been for front from the beginning we would be in a better place. We were about to receive the 2nd sliding door. Based on dates given to us by Sunco we removed the existing sliding door and frame the day before Sunco were to install the new frame and doors. Come the next morning they phone informing us "Oh, we received the wrong doors, we cant come over". After informing them we have already removed the existing frame and doors based on dates confirmed by SunCo that week, we told SunCo to deliver the frame. Our question to them was "why did they not know this BEFORE?" We had to tack the frame in with nails and used plastic tarp to cover where the sliding doors would go. That was September 16th. It's now Jan 31st. We have ply wood and a plastic tarp where the sliding doors would go. They did provide us with ply wood.We made the team deliver the doors last week. We we will install the frame ourselves. There have been external influences which have not been SunCos fault. We accept these issues (The replacement sliding doors were lost, the 2nd set of replacement doors were correct but did not ship the hardware to install the sliding doors). The BIGGEST complaint is the lack of communication and customer service. SunCo have no idea what either is. We never received updates from the owner, we ALWAYS had to chase him down and ask for an update. When we had days they were supposed to install the sliding doors, we had arranged people to be at the house. SunCo didn't turn up and no email until later in the afternoon often AFTER we had communicated with them asking for an update. The first sliding door we received had a scratch on the glass. I requested compensation. We agreed on a price. Five weeks later we are still waiting. Sunco agree to pay for our Hydro bill. Five weeks later and two emails we are still waiting. I have a very strong feeling we will not be receiving any money. As a customer who had paid in full for two sliding doors the level of customer service was atrocious. As soon as things started to go wrong the owner backed away from dealing with us. Our fault for not researching before we purchased sliding doors. We will not make that mistake again. As previous reviewers have stated, this is the worst customer service experience we have ever had. The owner of this business is a bully who will not listen to any complaints about his products even if they are defective. We were guaranteed a perfect door match if we purchased a new door from them. We were asked to supply our existing door and they would cut the holes for the hinges and door lock set and match the door. We got back a door with all the wrong holes but when we told them, Ross (owner) told us we were wrong and had supplied him with the wrong information. How is that possible when we brought in our existing back door for them to match? He was abusive and rude and the second door we had cut also had incorrect holes for the door knob and deep scratches on the frame. He told us to go out and buy a new door lock set to cover the scratches! We will never deal with this company again and you shouldn't either. read more

Worst consumer experience ever! The company gave me bad advice about what size windows to order and when they came in they were too small. It took weeks though because they only received 7 of the 8 windows I ordered. At one point when I called to ask about the missing one (which never did arrive), Ross (owner) told me he didn't know where my f*!king window was. Then when I finally realized the ones they did get in were too small, brought the windows back and said I wanted to return them, he stood there with his arms folded across his chest and refused flatly to take them back. When I said that I felt his company had given me bad advice, he told me among many other things that I could get a lawyer and sue him. After leaving, I read the small print on their quote that says they have a restocking policy and called him yet again. He refused to commit but I called him again the next day and he tersely agreed that I could return them - at a 50% cost to me. I agreed to his terms just so I would never have to deal with him again. I have owned 5 houses in my life and dealt with many suppliers- all unfailingly courteous until this experience . Never have I encountered a business owner as rude and dismissive as Ross. I have now ordered windows from GBS and they have given me excellent service at very comparable prices to Sunco. Life lesson learned the hard way! read more

I retract my previous review. Window delivery was lacking in the customer service department, but I overlooked it, assuming everyone can have a bad day. It wasn't until last week, when I approached the owner for an interior pre-hung fir veneer door quote, that I solidified my opinion that Sunco has the worst possible customer service...or at least equivalent to the local plumbing supply located near them (which has changed it's name from MPH to Noble since I was last there). I wrote down the rough openings for the doors I needed. Fifteen slabs in total, some of them custom order. When the owner realized that I already had a quote from Home Depot, he refused to give me a proper quote, "Why would I give you a quote? You have a quote from Home Depot." As I tried to explain that there were other factors in my decision such as ferry travel, time off from work etc. and that perhaps I wanted to support local business, I was cut off with "You're going to go with Home Depot so we don't have time to give you a quote, we're busy." I regret having bought my windows there and I bet Home Depot will even ship to the Sunshine Coast if I ask....I'm borrowing a trailer and picking them up though. Apparently Gibsons Building Supplies will match local suppliers pricing, so maybe people should waste this Sunco guys time by getting quotes from him and then have them matched by his competition. I will not deal with this business or person again, and I will tell everyone I know why. read more

Manager said he has the worst customer service. I now believe him. I should have walked away when he said that as he didn't have anyone to come and measure my windows for screens. I supplied him with my window measurements asking for screens. When I got the screens none fit. He told me I was to supply him with screen measurements not window measurements. First, he knew i was giving him window measurements and secondly why did he not ask me in the correspondence we had to supply the screen size. If he had asked me for screen size I would have cancelled my order because I would not have known what screen size fits my windows....I am not the professional here. My advice is to be very careful when dealing with this company. read more

The most abysmal after-sales service I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favour and use GBS or another supplier for windows and doors.
