My husband and I have lived here for over 2 years. In my opinion, these are the nicest apartments you will find in Lockhart. The area is very safe, and our neighbors are very friendly, most of us know eachother by name. I really don't have any complaints. Someone else on here said their friend had a mouse problem, and like I said, we have lived here for over 2 years and neither of us has seen a single mouse. Maintenance can be kind of slow to get to stuff, but luckily we have really never had a reason to need them. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because the community amenities aren't the best. The pool is very nice, but there is no lock on the gate, so during the weekends (of course, when those who actually live and pay rent here want to go) a lot of people who don't live here decide to use it as a public pool. It makes it impossible for those of us who live here to be able to enjoy it. Also, the gym is more like a walk in closet. I worked out there a few times after moving in but decided to just join an actual gym instead. And, lastly, on their website it says something about a "bark park." I'm really not sure what they could possibly be talking about. There is an open field next to the apartments that I'm thinking they must be considering a "bark park," but when we moved in 2 years ago nothing was mentioned of this, and that field has been there the whole time. Management could care less about the renters. All they care about is the check once a month. AC has broke FOUR times & I was the first one to rent that apt. Several other issues with dish washer, ceiling fans, hot water heater, cracks in walls, etc, etc, etc. Gaps around ALL doors that I was told "go to WalMart & by some window tape & fix THAT yourself" Drug use is ignored. Pot & "other" smoke goes to ALL apts in a building. Request to have bird droppings cleaned up was ignored, Marnie (the manager) wouldn't even get off her ass to come look at it. Other tenants stack trash up for days - against "alleged" policy. All managers park in spaces in front of office yet threaten a $50 fine if you park there ONE time because the apt with the pot smokers are having a party. Drug sales right in front of my apt reported to managers &, you guessed it, IGNORED. Refusal to do anything about noise. TV's loud enough to wake me at 5am EVERYDAY even though I have a radio & fan on next to bed. Refusal to address doors SLAMMING every time other apts in building leave\enter. Refusal to address dog owners who let their dog shit right in front of my apt even though I took picture of the owner & the dog doing it to the office. - They kept returning until I confronted them. - which started to get hostile because I called the dog owner out. Other tenants SPEED through complex. If you leave black marks & squeal tires IN FRONT OF OFFICE, you aren't going slow. Also IGNORED by Marnie & other managers. 2 of 4 washing machines was broke over a year. 1 of 4 dryers the same. Maybe my standars are too high, but I expect more from the management for almost $1,000 a month rent. I wouldn't recommend here unless it was a short term lease. read more
